Joe: doesn't use a funnel, not a drop of oil spilled Me: doesn't use a funnel, spills oil all over the valve cover, intake manifold and the neighbor's car.
Hey man, I really appreciate you watching and commenting! Sounds like it was a great help. Having a lot more videos under my belt now and rewatching this one, I think it can be a lot better haha but we are always our biggest critic's.
@@joesdiy4260hey, i must mis-typed a little, but i was saying that the length of the video and the amount of information was just right.. im not being a critic... well not a negative one
I have mine I have to do, am kinda nervous, but this made is seem so simple. I’m also glad you showed not or less a step by step so it’s pretty easy to follow
@dojodomo4944 Hi, thanks for watching and commenting, it means a lot. What will allow you to easily drain full contents of the oil is to pull the dip stick and remove the oil cap.
@ thanks for response after a lot of research on the forums you do have to remove the oil filter first and oil fill cap to break vacuum seal and drain all oil
Hey, thanks for watching the video, I really appreciate the comment. This was done so long ago, that I do not remember. But you should be able to find the information you are looking for with a quick Google search. Good luck and take care!
I plan on doing an oil change but without jacking car up. Seen several videos able to do it. My question pls is do you think that drain pan could be used still if I plan not to jack?
If you are referring to the exact drain pan that I use in my video, then I do not think it will fit without jacking the car up. You can always purchase more shallow drain pans. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@jonsen2792 Regarding the drain pan, I dont list the brand or type of drain pan. So, even if I measured the height of mine, I cannot guarantee that you will get the same one at the store. Sadly, I no longer own this car and I do not know what the ground clearance is. If you own this car, you can simply measure the ground clearence yourself. If you are concerned with drain pan heights, my recommendation would be to measure the ground clearance of your car, then go to the store and measure the heights of drain pans and select the one that best works for you. Hope this helps, take care!

Aren’t you suppose to unscrew the oil filter before the drain plug so it drains the full amount of oil in engine?

I was reading height on that is 6.75 inches. I just wasn't sure how accurate it was. If so the clearance is higher than that 8.9 inch?
