The very first time I loaded into this game I sat at the main menu just listening to this theme for a good half hour just amazed at how beautiful of a theme it is and still to this day over 80+ hours into the game I still sit there every time enjoying the music...just one of those things that runs chills down your spine 🤘🏻

semi randomized maps just kills the game you cant access to most of the content in your first playthrough and the maps dont feel unique like from software games
I agree with you about the randomised map thing but they didn't try to do what fromsoft did...they paid homage and innovated making a souls experience like no other, the reason they made the randomised maps is maybe because of inspiring more exploration and maybe encouraged players to do multiple playthroughs not only to get what they wanted/needed but also to face tougher and more puzzling bosses and areas. (Not arguing with you in anyway just expressing my opinion on it and maybe trying to sway yours a small bit, don't attack me lol)

Atleast.. really hoping they do. This game has been a nice distraction for me while Destiny 2 content is on the boring side.

I highly recommend this game to anyone into challenging games like Dark Souls. It's also made by Gunfire Games, they are the same developers that made Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition and Darksiders 3. So definitely give this game a go!
I'm not a Dark Souls fan but I'm loving Remnant. Using guns makes all the difference. I'm only gear rank 14 and my favourite boss was maybe The Unclean One as he smashes up the whole room by the end of the fight. Most annoying were the Ixillis twins on the bridge. So glad when I managed that solo.
@Mongolian Dutch Oven I got Claviger in my game, never seen Harrow. I beat Claviger first try and got a hammer I didn't need. I've since discovered if you kill him a different way you get a particle accelerator gun....doh!
I so agree. That contrast in mood is so effective. Despite the nature of the story of Remnant being very grim, dire, dark, and often hopeless, it was an absolutely inspired decision to NOT make the music sound like that. The music in Remnant's theme is not just heroic, though. It's unusually quiet, reflective...possessing a melancholy not usually present in more heroic themes. The heroism in this game is a more fatalistic, reserved, and downplayed heroism. It's the silent heroism of a relatively normal person, armed with weapons made of scrap and duct tape, desperately fighting horrors in lonely, hushed, dead streets. Victory is without glory, for there is no one to witness it. You can feel your character's fatigue and somberness in this theme, yet you know that no matter what, they will never give up. Defiant to the last, not for fame or honor, because there is none left in the world, but because they are a defiant soul. What a theme, man. It brings tears to the eyes.

Same here, saw the prequel game Chronos was like 2 bucks so I picked it up, instantly fell in love with the IP. Grabbed this game like a week ago to continue the series and good grief, I don’t care what people say about the gameplay itself, I don’t think I’ve heard a soundtrack so good that it could genuinely bring a tear to my eye like this series can do with JUST the main menu score. Just played through this game recently, very very good! Boss designs are fun, some are a little easy to beat. But in all, I’d rate it an 8/10. The music is definitely 10/10 for me, those moments in the desert were so intense when the music kicked in!
For the people who enjoyed this game as much as I did: There are a few, small hint around from the devs. Which hints to a sequel of remnant from the ashes. So a part 2 could be in the making/early stages allready. I don't know for sure. I'm still trying to find a definitive answer.

I was legit blown away by this game. I avoided it for the longest time due to not knowing much plus not liking souls like. I finally played it not long after the final dlc dropped. FELL IN LOVE. The factions, the enemies, the lore, the gameplay. Easily 8-9 outta 10. Im SO PSYCHED for the sequel
The odd part about this is that most people will never hear the entire song, because it's the title screen music. As in the thing you hear idly in the background before you start the game. Maybe it would've been better to have it as the end credits music instead.

I kept trying to figure out what it reminds me of, and it reminds me VAGUELY of the old Lucasarts PC game Outlaws' music, but with a more instrumental/cinematic feel, and obviously vocals (which you didn't really get in midi from the 90s). I love the gunslinging, western gametype. I think I finally figured out a way to describe this game to people: Remnant: From the Ashes It's a steampunk, sci-fi, light horror/thriller, western, gunslinger game. It's like cowboys vs aliens, except actually good, the aliens are zombie trees, there are other aliens, AND you throw in a touch of Stargate and Serenity. (Also the obligatory "Dark Souls with guns")
First you start in the post apocalyptic ruins of America, then by the time you're bashing in the skills of satyrs in a twilight forest with a hammer made out of a rusty motorcycle engine you're asking yourself "how the hell did I get here?" Remnent is a game with no consistent tone or setting and this music fits so well because it doesn't fit at all. It sounds like the ending credit music of some sort of high fantasy game, but instead it's in a game where you're mowing down blue elves in the Louisiana swamps with a laser beam that looks like it was made by H.R. Giger.

One of my favorite things is a beautiful orchestral piece. The layers between the instruments and the chorus. I wish the story of the game was a bit more in depth, but I think the music is absolutely brilliant! Here's hoping for a second title in the series.
It's a great game that takes probably the best storytelling tips dark souls has. It's good combat rewards exploration, and secret finding. (Such as the SMG, Sniper, and Drifters Coat and Boots) I love the art style and reminds me of Bloodborne with how seamless combat between ranged/melee is. Just a great game that I'd recommend to anyone who loves SoulsBorne or even SoulsBorne-esque games.

Highly. If you like soulsborne type games, and gunplay, you will probably love it.
I definitely do! I was never a fan of Dark Souls or games similar to it but this one? I've so far played roughly 6-7 hours and I'm loving it!
I do. Of course it's always more fun with friends, but it is interesting on your own.
It's a great game that takes probably the best storytelling tips dark souls has. It's good combat rewards exploration, and secret finding. (Such as the SMG, Sniper, and Drifters Coat and Boots) I love the art style and reminds me of Bloodborne with how seamless combat between ranged/melee is. Just a great game that I'd recommend to anyone who loves SoulsBorne or even SoulsBorne-esque games.
@@missivory_missraine I hear a lot of people complain to me "Why do you play this game? It looks like Darksiders 3, its even using a lot of its assets and locations" but I never played Darksiders so I don't really see any of it. Care to elaborate whether this is true or not? Assuming you played Darksiders.

Man after I beat this game and it's dlc over a year ago I put it down but this music makes me want to create a new hunter
When you are preparing your team to do your duty to go out and battle mutant monsters, there is no better audible motivation than this one.
