What a great standard of snooker that was played in the final. Fair play to both players . It was marks calm approach that amazed me. Great guy
100% honest and genuine guy, top player , one of the best, but his humble ness and likeability factor is so refreshing in the modern day money obsessed sports of today, and that makes him such a great ambassador for snooker and in sports in general. And his win will give belief an inspiration to all those who may think their past it,........as long as you work hard and never stop dreaming............dreams can come true

An absolute legend of the game. I was so happy when he won that 3rd World Title.
Its seems like Mark Williams ages like a fine wine. He just gets better as he gets older. If he isnt on the BBC Sports Personality of the Year shortlist then there would be a huge injustice to how extraordibary his comeback has been. To go from the brink of retirement after failing to qualify for the 2017 WSC to straight up winning the bloody thing a year later is fairytale stuff. Possibly the most popular winner since Alex Higgins. Yes i did just say that. The guy is impossible to hate.

That way of seeing things when it comes to the compete-part, that should be on schedules in schools ! Its not all about the wins and success, easy to say and even harder to do, but its still equally truth !! How come ? Well, you have the answer in that chair !! It's hard to separate these 2 tbh. I'm not sure who's greater. Ppl generally say John but at the crucible I think Mark has the wood on him. And his temperament is even better imo. I felt John in 98 at his peak was arguably the best ever but then Mark in 03 was amazing at his peak too - genuinely up there as arguably the greatest ever. Id give John the edge but Mark don't get his dues
