      Sorry that you don’t feel like you’re seeing the smile transformation yet!! Depending on how much movement is needed over all, some of the fine tuning isn’t really noticeable until you look back. Hang in there and keep up the good aligner wear. If you use chewies, maybe increase the amount of time you use them to help your aligners seat as well as possible. And always check with your provider if you have concerns or questions!! That’s what they are there for! ❤️

    Hi, I haven't had braces prior and I have gaps in between my teeth. Should I use these to close my gaps?

    • @HesterMorrisOrthodontics

      Invisalign is a great choice for closing spaces! When you visit your orthodontist, they will lay out the best options for your individual needs.

    How long does it take on average and can it fix a underbite?

    • @HesterMorrisOrthodontics
      @HesterMorrisOrthodontics  2 года назад

      In our practice, we've used Invisalign many times to treat underbite. The average time for a case like that is about 2 years.

    Can you swim with invisalign? Should you keep them on while swimming in a chlorine pool?

    • @HesterMorrisOrthodontics
      @HesterMorrisOrthodontics  2 года назад

      In our experience, swimming does not affect the aligners... Maybe don't drink too much pool water!

    What if you only need the top one cuz you have a permanent retainer

    • @HesterMorrisOrthodontics
      @HesterMorrisOrthodontics  3 года назад +4

      In our experience most people do need a little re-adjustment on both upper and lower to make sure their teeth fit together correctly. Some movement can occur even if you have a fixed lingual wire post braces. But an orthodontist can advise you on what is best for your smile!

      This happened with me, I did only the top at first and wore a bottom retainer tray for the bottom, but realized I needed to do both top and bottom after a few months because you want to make sure your bite is correct and plus why not fix some imperfections on your bottom while going through all those months instead of a retainer tray sitting there. They ended up taking my permanent retainer off on the bottom, re-scanned all my teeth and started treatment for both. Don’t just do your top

      Yes, you should definitely wear your aligners along with your mouthguard. It should fit nicely over the aligners. Many Invisalign providers can offer you a special mouthguard for orthodontic patients, but as long as you don't use the boil and bite version, you should be okay.

      @@FezCaliph Try checking with your provider. They can be awkward feeling when the aligners are not in, but they should not be causing that much discomfort.

    How much it costs?

    • @HesterMorrisOrthodontics
      @HesterMorrisOrthodontics  3 года назад

      Depends on a few things. The price of Invisalign treatment depends on the complexity of the tooth movement needed, the time involved, and what area of the country or world the provider is even makes a difference.

    • @LochlanONeil
      @LochlanONeil 3 года назад +3

    • @HesterMorrisOrthodontics

    • @HesterMorrisOrthodontics
      @HesterMorrisOrthodontics  3 года назад +1

      Aw, Mina! That's probably very frustrating for you. The two things that seem to make the most impact on the success of overall treatment is the skill level & experience of the provider and patient compliance. If you are still in aligners, definitely make sure you are wearing them for the full 22 hours.

    Nothing but expensive retainers.

    • @HesterMorrisOrthodontics
      @HesterMorrisOrthodontics  2 года назад +3

      They may look like retainers, but the technology involved in the movement of teeth using Invisalign is way more advanced than regular clear retainers that just hold teeth in position. They have different purposes all together!
