  • I'm posting this video to show how I am covering the prop in response to a posted question.
I use landscape fabric on most of my props - it's really lightweight, moves well in the wind , and is almost waterproof so it doesn't get weighed down if it gets wet.
I'll post the last video closer to Halloween when the prop is complete and up at the full 13 feet.

It's looking good Rick! I like your choice of fabrics. Smart build.

Hey Rick, are you planning on covering with fabric the back pole with the pulleys?

No - I'm not covering the pole and the pulleys.
The prop is 13' high and will be placed in front of some shrubs and trees so you won't be able to see behind it. The pole and the pulleys are painted black and I figure with them 13 feet up in the air and behind the head you won't see them.
Plus I use a thunder soundtrack and one of those light FX for the spotlights on all the props which face upward into the props so you will only see the very front of them.
      That's my plan.
I'll remember your comment and try for a video on Halloween to show how it looks in the dark and to confirm the pulleys and pole are hidden.
