providence is definitely the cause of all the problems in my eyes, he doesn’t actually care about any of the races he saves he just saves them for his own benefit because he loves soul he also just up and trapped mithrix on the moon (WITHOUT EVER TRYING TO SIMPLY DISCUSS THINGS WITH MITHRIX) when mithrix just wanted providence to be happy (but he was far too cold and calculating in the process, which is why providence grew to hate him) I’m also not too sure why he just decided to kill everyone on the contact light but I haven’t really looked into that one a lot
Providence is a really interesting character. He killed everyone (almost everyone) on the cargo ship, but it was only to protect all the fauna and flora. However, the survivor tried to get off this planet at the cost of killing everything just to achieve his goal. In Risk of Rain you really can't define the villain because everyone has their own goals and only one side can gain something

Ok hi, actual long post here because funny interpretation of music!! So, this, of course, starts as Providence's theme (or the battle theme?). It's dangerous, it's nasty, it's glitchy, and it's fast paced. The guitars, synths, and other such things are low and not high, giving a more menacing and more powerful stable feel to the song. Then, 1:31 hits. This is when it flips on it's head. It starts to turn into a desperate attempt at survival, a desperate mass of notes and things to try to seem menacing. Then, at 1:56, it stops being Providence's theme, and it is now your character's theme. Everything feels different, if I could describe it. It feels higher pitched, more clean than the low, dirty sound we got before. A guitar comes in, one that wasn't heard in Providence's part of the song, and this guitar is different than the entire song. It's hitting the middle pitch of songs, and hitting high pitches. And yet, it still feels more dangerous and menacing than Providences part. Basically, TLDR: Your character grows to be even more menacing than Providence.
