man, Chris' 2013 Surface Tension has been my favorite track for the longest time, but I agree with some that it is basic while it can be understandable (it's something how i feel about the music), but this made me hit that like button within the 10 second mark, and this track is now how I EXACTLY feel fighting hordes of enemies, like the original track has awakened it's true potential. The bit before 1:20 feel like you're running towards the big bad's goons, after that it sounds like you're fighting them. An upward battle that, while tough, you know you will eventually prevail.
I wish this music was used in the final boss, it would have been perfect there as the last thing you hear. But getting to hear it every loop is not a bad thing either. Amazing job guys

I kind of like that this is very clearly taking the original in a different direction - the original Surface Tension is pretty much perfect for what it is, albeit... maybe a little TOO mellow and low-energy for an early-stage boss theme. Trying too hard to improve upon the original would probably have resulted in something weaker by the comparisons it would inevitably invite, so a more up-tempo iteration with a guest composer was probably the best way to go anyway - this nailed that, honestly. Surface Tension is a good song, Surface Tension Returns is also a good song.
It doesn't matters how well my run is going. When that guitar really gets going this song gives me an incredible feeling of unfuckwithability. Its really empowering and i love it
I played rorr for the first time yesterday and this song started playing and me and my friend stopped just to listen to it before we went to pummel providence into the dirt, and we kinda just sat there in awe. A couple of minutes ago I went to go listen to the original cause it's been a while since I heard it and honestly wanted to cry while listening to it. ror1 surface tension instruments make it so somber, and desolate feeling. You're still fighting for your life but it hits you in the feels. rorr surface tension instruments is you on a god run about to make providence wish he sent even more things to kill you. The power both versions hold is really strong, and I'm so fucking happy that this music even exists.
