i guess if you plan to visit an island such as langkawi or pangkor,my 2cent is to try rent a motorbike rather taking a grab or taxi to go places, plus its a benefit on time,fun and expenses..and both of you sweet couple have a full experience on the island.
Post pandemic.. Spain Bali Phuket to name a few ...re so crowded in most parts of these overrated places the crowd is huge ...had to lay towels side by side....so Nothing better than traveling to some less crowded less chaotic peaceful island like pangkor🎉😅
Langkawi may be your next best choice... Lesser known island less crowd compared to nearby Thai islands.. probably much better in terms of choice of food and area to explore...hopefully 😅

Did you guys have a close encounter with Hornbills while having meals at the stalls/ restaurants & streets? Other than Sabah at the Borneo side, you can also find a lot of the birds in Pangkor Island. iChang, a Japanese couple did a 3 episodes somewhere in Jan on Pangkor Island, also exploring the island on motorbike. Do check them out to discover more about the island & the local foods. Nasi Goreng USA (Udang - prawn, Sotong - squid & Ayam - chicken). Mainly these 3 ingredients, not US style. 🤭

You shoukd consider Pulau Rawa or Pulau Kapas for nicer sea and beach😊
Kapas n Rawa islands 🏝️ are closed during monsoon season (November to March) due to high wave 🌊.
