I’m gonna be that fucking NERD and say based on his other videos, it seems the kitchen with the white cabinets is his actually kitchen and the kitchen with the wooden cabinets is probably a friend’s kitchen...unless it’s like a lake house or cabin kitchen shit.

I find it funny that for my parents it’s the opposite. My dad loves to cook, and my mom is like “oh is it dinner time? Have some cereal.”

My dad worked as a Waffle House cook in College, so the roles are completely reserved.
I'm the dad in my house I was a chef for ten years. It's really reversed in my house. I'll make three day long recipes and my wife makes grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, chef boyardee blah blah blah.
If I'm not home to cook it gets Bland. I work in construction now so the solution is to train her and my kids how to cook. Isn't working.
@@aaronmackay6123 Same. Cooked for 6 years, now an electrical engineer. On the last Sunday that I cooked, we had Osso Buco, slow cooked with a roasted bone marrow and garlic gravy. The last Sunday my wife cooked, it was hamburger helper and boiled broccoli.

Ours was always macaroni with whatever leftover meat was in the fridge. Chicken,hamburger,hotdog, etc

Been there, my friend. Lots of hamburger helper back in the day with my three girls. However, now I love to cook an my daughters prefer my cooking over their mom’s.
My Dad had 2 cooking modes; intricate Gordon Ramsay style feasts with 5 hour preps, and fried eggs on toast with bacon and beans. He also had Ramsay's vocabulary.

Growing up, the one thing my dad would make for my brother and me when mom wasn’t there were fajitas. Some of my favorite memories of my dad growing up were my brother and I helping him cook while we blared Stevie Ray Vaughn.

@@hekter2364 same. I wouldnt normally use cups, but my wife only does the dishes after they pile up high enough to hit the ceiling (same way she does laundry) When Im home, I do dishes after every meal (well, i just rinse them) the reuse the dishes for the day. Easy clean up at night that way.

To be fair, both dishes will bring that warm comfort to your soul years later. My dad makes tomato soup and puts macaroni noodles in it sometimes. It's like spaghettios with better texture

When my mom was gone and my dad had to cook for us he literally cut 🌭, lengthwise splayed them, and fried them up with Macaroni and Cheese on the side. We lost him a few years ago. This totally reminded me of him. 💗

I swear this could not be more accurate!!! my mom makes like these 5 course meals when she cooks. my dad makes regular pasta cheapest sauce on sale and tiny frozen pre cooked turkey meat balls. my mom makes fresh eggs how you want them. she makes pancakes and bacon. spends hours in the kitchen. my dad for breakfeast got like an egg maker or something. it's pretty much you make scrambled eggs in a bowl in a microwave. if he's really feeling fancy he'll cut up some pre cooked sausage links and throw those in too.
