I was the “Grill God” when i was 16 working at Wendy’s. I kept that grill loaded with burger pattie’s and never ran out of meat no matter how busy a lunch or dinner rush was. My meat was always available and hot and juicy for any customer. I made thousands of burgers in a short amount of time. Now, 20 years later, I am reduced to only cooking a few pounds of meat on my grill in a session. I peaked too early

A bit over 12 years ago I moved in with my grandparents to help take care of them (May they rest in peace), had been a cook for a number of years before that so ended up ruffling some feathers because my uncle was the "Grill master" at the time. He didn't have anything fancy just a 55gallon drum grill but after my first rack of ribs on that he got demoted by them and sulked for a while. Specially when I could recreate (or come close enough to) a BBQ joint's flavor from Kansas that they loved before moving to Florida in `92 and I hadn't eaten there since `91 as a kid, but it was so good it stuck with me over the years.

I’m not a grill guy, but I can tell you that not everyone understands cross contamination. My father in law one time put cooked chicken on the same plate it was on when raw (including raw juices). 😳 Had to step in immediately.
