Good video! But I suggest you to install Addup bathing system. It helps groomer improve bathing efficiency.

Thanks for posting this video. Which brand and model table are you using? Is it hydraulic or electric?

Thanks so much for your videos! I have a question that I don't see specifically addressed in your videos - How in the world would you get a 100+ lb dog on a table that doesn't have hydraulics? Especially if the dog isn't very keen on the idea in the first place? TIA!

Hi Laura! If she doesn't have a hydraulic table with her or a second pair of hands to help her lift a very large dog onto her table, she probably uses steps of some sort for the dog to walk up to get on the table. I use an electric hydraulic table, but the one I have (although a really nice expensive one) just doesn't go down as far like many of them do, and if I can't get a super large dog on my table for some reason, I use a high step mounting block (which is actually used to mount horses), and I've always been able to guide large dogs up those to my table with no problems. Of course, I already have my table down somewhat too. I wouldn't be able to use the mounting block on a high table though and would have to buy or make steps that would reach the top of a high table. There's all sorts of "steps" out there one can buy (which maybe you've seen before, idk), and some people even have custom made steps they've built, or had someone else build for them. Sometimes the custom made ones I've seen are actually better than the ones you can buy because they seem to be built more sturdy, and it's actually cheaper building them than buying them! Anyways, I'm not seeing anyone else's questions answered and didn't know if you'd get yours answered either, so just thought I'd try to help by answering myself. :)

Angie Carter had a great idea with the block. I am going to visit the website and maybe DIYDogGrooming will have more ideas there. But I have a big dog and Fibromyalgia. I have tried everything from treats to begging and pleading to get the dogs on the table. I’ve even heard of people building ramp tables where they walk up a ramp to the bath, over to a table after to be dried and then afterwards over to be cut and down a ramp to get off... but in the most simplest of cases, a sturdy home made ramp or a pair of pet store bought stairs for the older dog might do.

A small step ladder should suffice

I also want to know where you can buy that large bar. Every one I have seen is very expensive or poorly made.

Thank you for the information. I do have a question. Can you use the stomach (haunch) strap with the grooming arm.

Tracy Reeleder-Edgar I have used the no sit strap for smaller dogs. If they’re too tall and the arm isn’t long enough....
