Love when you take on these really desperate cases where the doggo is in sore need of a grooming. You get to be the "bad Guy" and the owners the saviors in the end that arrive in shiny armour (a car) and rescue them from "torment". Even though the grooming processes surely is stressful and painful for these doggos they will be so much better for it afterwards. Great community here that makes it possible for you to offer your services as a pet groomer free of charge and the guides on homegrooming is even more admirable.
Hope someone’s told you that you popped up in The latest Dave Smith JRE episode! Last 5 minutes but it’s a great 3 hour conversation if you want a podcast to listen to

Hi Vanessa, we truly appreciate your patience, perseverance and the tender care you provided to Sarah and all the other challenging but adorable fur-babies!❤️
While she was still pretty spicy at the end it wasn't nearly as bad as in the beginning which points to pain from matting triggering a lot of her aggressive behavior. Glad Venessa was able to get this old gal in a more clean and comfortable state!
Not just the matting, but nobody seems to be considering that this dog has never been to a groomer's before - so has likely never encountered electric clippers before. Those things make quite a racket, must be even louder to a dog's sensitive hearing, and she has no idea what they are. From her pov that thing is probably like some evil snake coming to get her, and you can see how frightened she is - she's snapping to protect herself, not to be mean. She was a lot calmer with the scissors, but still not too keen on face work, and she doesn't know that sudden movements near scissors are a bad idea! Vanessa handled it all really calmly and professionally.
Okay, now my curiosity is piqued. How would one get from Nunavut to Ontario? I tried to map from many locations in the province it and the only thing that comes up is flights. I’m guessing it’s really that remote and sparsely populated?
