    Thanks for the video, it really helped because I didn't know that the bearing was secured with a snapring. It would have been preferable to have someone else hold the camera or maybe on some kind of stand... But all things considered, I feel confident that I will be in and out of the shop with it today, armed with the knowledge to complete the job. Good stuff

    Use the old race to pound new one flush. Cut a slot in it with a zip disc and you can pound it in all the way and pull it right out after. In case you aint got the big socket you need

    Hey question is it worth doing all that if the ball joints are say bad? Dont wanna get into something I cant finish that day

  • @caudronperformance
    @caudronperformance  3 года назад

    If you need wheel bearings and ball joints it is usually cheaper to replace the whole steering knuckle, if using one parts. If using jobber parts it is usually still cheaper to replace the bearing and ball joint individually.

    Do the 2x4 models have the wheel bearing located inside the brake drum right?

    • @caudronperformance
      @caudronperformance  3 года назад

      Yes, the 2wd models have just a solid spindle and bearings pressed into the brake drum housing.

    Idk if you can help me but I got a Honda rancher 350 2wd an one of the front tires locks up an won’t move would that be the brakes ?

    • @caudronperformance
      @caudronperformance  6 месяцев назад

      Could be brakes stuck or seized on or maybe the wheel bearings.

    Did you loosen control arm bolts?

    • @caudronperformance
      @caudronperformance  4 года назад

      No, they are a rubber bushing where they mount to the frame, should rotate there although there is generally some tension.

    One of my drums are stuck. I've tried everything I could think of doing to get it off. Help please?

    • @caudronperformance
      @caudronperformance  4 года назад +3

      The 2 small bolts hold the drum to the hub, if it is stuck on the axel splines you could try removing the 2 small bolts and the drum should come off the hub, then you could use a 2 jaw puller on the hub pressing on the end of the axel.

    • @caudronperformance
      @caudronperformance  3 года назад

      It is just normal right hand thread, just remove split pin and rotate counter clockwise.
