    good job making that brake shoe retainer pin, the round springs like most cars use are easier for me than those flat springs on that quad.

      I agree Vernon and I was amazed to find that parts stores don't carry parts for drum brakes anymore. I guess I am dating myself, eh?

    Good job on the front brakes George. This should help other people needing to do this on their 4x4!!

      Thank you Bob, that's why I did such a detailed video on it. I couldn't find any on RUclips that could answer some of my questions, so I experimented on the first side and then did the explanation on the second side.

    Nice job George, getting all that old fluid out will help extend the life of your brake job. Nice work

    I have a 1986 200sx I just started wrenching on. The front left hub is stuck on there. I tried a puller, rubber mallet. Its on there. Any suggestions?!? The front right came off no issues

    • @TheShadeTreeFixitMan
      @TheShadeTreeFixitMan  8 месяцев назад

      You may have to use some heat along with the puller and a BIG hammer. Hope you get it. Thanks for stopping by.

    How did you get the hub off to do the brakes? I’m having a hard time.

    • @TheShadeTreeFixitMan
      @TheShadeTreeFixitMan  6 месяцев назад

      Lots of hammering and a puller. Mine were stuck pretty well after sitting outdoors in a field for 10 years. If you are blessed enough to be able to back off the adjustment screw it would help. Mine were frozen. Patience is the key.

    Where did you buy that circular wire brush?

    • @TheShadeTreeFixitMan
      @TheShadeTreeFixitMan  Год назад

      I think I got a set of them from Harbor Freight, but you can also find them at most hardware stores if you don't have an HF nearby. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look with me.

    Wait... @1:20... are you saying you found your 10mm socket, which enabled you to remove the bolts, from the seized adjuster? I don't believe you; it's Common Knowledge that the 10mm socket cannot be found! 😉 That anti-seize makes things Slickery! @5:08 and maybe some Other Moments... did you ever Swear? I know you'd never leave that kind of language in your videos (I won't either), since it isn't "Family Friendly"; but Inquiring Minds are Curious. I think that wire brush makes a good Small Cylinder Hone. @17:26... "Bingo, Bango, Bongo..."; reminds me of a Line, from Quantum Leap 😉 I hope I am able to afford my Subscribers "Shaky Cam", when I am Old Enough. 😊 Nothing says: "End Video" like Jinxy Cat, showing us "Ohio"!

      I don't cuss as a matter of principle and by God's grace haven't for many years. Before coming to Christ I was a sailor for 4 years ...nuff said? Thanks for the insightful observations.
