How did you get the game early? They sent you a review copy? When I saw the first trailer I was exited how it looks, similar to shredders revenge. But the company gamemill got me a little worried, I remember some light gun arcade from them, they are alright, and the cruising blast, is not a incredible game, I mean is fun, but not as good as the first cruisn USA. And looking at the eshop, the game cost almoust the same as the physical game, so I don’t see any point in buying this game virtual, better to get the physical game. By looking at the gameplay, is not bad, very simple, probably they need to patch the thing where you need to align perfectly in front of the enemy to attack them. Also I was worried in the trailer I can see you get punch by some enemies and Daniel doesn’t even receive any damage, so I thought there was bad design in that, but in reality, they take away your special bar before they can damage you. But at least looks good, not as good as shredders revenge. So I will not cancel my Amazon preorder.
@@samuraicollector2903 yeah, for $40 it’s not bad at all, not as good and detailed as TMNR shredders revenge but it’s a fun beat em up if ya enjoy the karate kid universe. This game doesn't look better than the previous beat'em up games. After watching this video I changed my mind and won't be purchasing this game. Thx for posting this.
@@TheJarvismagic12 yeah, Amazon was saying will ship by or after release date, that is one thing about Amazon that has changed, sometimes it’s not delivered on release day, Best Buy and Target were saying the same thing too.
@@Xboxcampking334 yeah, that is one thing I noticed too, just like any beat ‘em up, not much replay value as I’m sure they won’t add additional DLC, maybe but idk? Also, there is other modes too but no online co-op I am sure is a downer for some.
This game seems simultaneously worse and slightly better than the Kobra Kai beat em ups. Its at least better than the second one for sure. I really like the looks of the UI and and the shield mechanic looks interesting but it makes me wonder if that was a bandaid on the player having so few defensive options. Like yeah being invincible for a few hits is cool, but (at least based on what I've seen from this video. Haven't finished it as of this comment) not being able to thow someone behind you, or do a back elbow into someone's stomach when you're surrounded feels really bad. I appreciate the game has more modes. From endless and arcade and minigames. As I'm someone WHO DOES play these games again and again just for a quick gaming sessions between bigger titles, but I think the game is massively overpriced. If it were 20 and maybe 25 for the physical I'd bite but its just too much at the moment. Do you know if Johnny is unlockable? From trailers I've seen his moves seem to be a mirror of Danny's just more 'mean', so it made me wonder if he was a 5th character or something.
@@brandonsclips7741 yeah, the biggest issue I have is hit detection, like it wants your enemy to be in a certain place at all times, then moving around feeling like your skating or on ice, can be hard to line up attacks, I don’t believe Johnny isn’t unlockable, also you can’t pick up weapons and breaking stuff in the environment doesn’t really give you much, some coins towards XP and health pretty much, and there is so much stuff you can break.
Well, thats a pre order immediately cancelled. How do you spend this amount of time on a game and send it out with shitty hit detection? So disappointing
Good video but the game doesn't look that good. I love this genre since the '90s but it has all the bad qualities of the worse ones and doesn't offer anything that new that SOR4 or Shredder Revenge doesn't already give you. Min moveset, really bad collision box, dumb AI stands there, same ene groups, rep encounters, constant worthless destructables, low ene variety (3), lingering, tedious\annoy boss...that bike thing was ridiculous.
