I am a Gemini and I think A LOT (very ‘mental’); I cannot turn my brain off, even when I’m sleeping! My dreams are very stimulating and fun! I think of Gemini as being "in search of the message" rather than "changeable." The Geminis I know are interested in many different things, and everything's a potential opportunity; but when they find out as much as they want to know, they're satisfied. I can relate to that.
My own Mercury is in Virgo, and in many ways, I want to know "what can I use this for?" Gemini is attracted by the knowledge itself; the experience of it.

I noted it in my notes from FB astrology groups - someone posted it and my gemini sun and jupiter can't keep it for myself: "Geminis alternate between extremes rapidly which appear as indecision. Gemini rising with very strongly emphasized natal Mercury - this was SPOT ON the best description of my constant mental state haha. I am always learning something (I easily jump from Japanese to coding to organic chemistry to astrology in a single day), I speak 5 languages so I can talk to everyone lol, I usually read 4 to 5 different books at one time... Knowledge and stimulating conversation are my oxygen ;P

Yes, me too. The best I have ever heard. I am Gemini with Libra rising so Sagarittius is my 3rd House. I also have Jupiter in Sagarittus. A crazy combination of every sign also mirrored by its opposite sign.
This description is the best I have ever heard and reflects my life journey in putting my faith in a structure that eventually dissolves and falls away. It happens very commonly in my life. I also have Uranus in my Sun sign making sudden disruption a common theme in my life.

Gemini sun and mercury in the 8th house. My experience is that Im constantly seeking higher union of opposites. I’ll be attracted to something, pull it a part, discard what is useless and reconstruct it, to facilitate a clearer and deeper relationship with the Divine; ever seeking the highest spiritual choice (discernment). Seeking for death and transformation for greater union (also have Scorpio rising). I relate to the lovers card and the idea when the feminine turns toward God the masculine follows (I could pull this a part) but in short the idea that man fell because of eve and returns because of Mary. Love this!! My addition as a Gemini through and through - it’s also about the communication aspect, Mercury as the shepherd. It’s no fun to flit and adapt all on your own. We need to take the other souls with us. Likewise, when we see something sparkly, like kids we’re going to get excited and point it out and refuse to shut up about it. The fast paced sharing of the fleeting thoughts. And if we end up the president of a country for some stupid reason, we’ll try to run it from Twitter.

I’m a Gemini Sun, Moon and Mercury. I love exploring, and need room to move about freely. Get deep focused in area of interest. Ponder on understanding things deeply. Can’t stand being stagnant. When I’m around others I just wanna socialize , hangout. Always seem to have great ideas and inspire others. Useally find answers when talking it out or writing. Need privacy to get stuff done. I have to ground my self and so I meditate a lot. On the flip I get scattered at time, but it kind of works for me. I like metal order and can get a lot done swiftly. Thank you for this insight into my Gemini Sun (and Mercury). My busy mind sees new ideas everywhere, and I get SO excited about a new shiny thing. I want to experience it, learn about it, and talk about it deeply, but once I've gained as much knowledge as I need about that certain thing, another shiny thing will show up and I'll move on to experience that new thing. I basically love having some knowledge about a lot of things, and I love sharing that knowledge with others. I feel it's a big way that Geminis serve the world, or at least this one, is to take in information, synthesize it and then share it when needed. When I was younger, I thought I was super flaky and flighty (two words you hear associated with Gemini), but now I understand that I'm here to experience many things, so I accept that I can be like a butterfly...flitting from flower to flower, because I know that's my purpose.
I love the way you explained the relationship to light and dark in the metaphorical seasons. I never thought of it that way before. I have Mercury /Sun in 12th. I’m cancer rising. Mars in Sagittarius. Nodes Pisces Virgo with a stellium in Virgo. I never used whole sign houses until watching your vids but even then it’s a grand cross in mutable signs and houses. Mercury retro can always be tough but I always feel like I gained something when it’s over. I worry about the long aspect to Neptune kicking my ass. Especially considering my Mercury/Sun in the 12th.
I really appreciate this talk, it was so fun to watch and to listen to. I love the talk about appearances and turning to the peak of the light and back into shadow - a feeling I get with food, coffee, sex, love, a schedule, the morning, my own thoughts and even this sentence I'm writing and might delete later!
So if I don't delete this comment I'd also like to add that Geminis maybe are in search of essences and intuitively, spiritually grasp the essence of things. We get the message in our hearts even before it clicks in our head and we're on to the next thing. However in this oppressive world, the essences are vacant, ultimately transactional and deadening. and so we're on to the next thing in a wave of anxiety terror and glee hoping we might land on, immerse with something that will hit our essence in the right spot and burst joy! I feel though we can find something constant, once we tune in. Mercury is a powerful energy. The transposition between light and dark. Hell and heaven. Flesh and spirit. That energetic line, that movement along that line to each polarity is the stuff of poetry, music, and acting - the dithrambic heart.

My mother is a Gemini. Everybody who has met her loves her and her beauty (the shiny part). My father divorced her and I have always had a distant relationship with her (the turn to dark). It’s not to say I don’t love her because I do immensely. Thanks for the deep dive.🙏🏽

Gemini sun squad here! :) There is definitely a child like wonder to Gemini heavy people in my experience. We also seem to always be acting and sometimes looking younger than we are ... though not necessarily in the way of body appearance always, but in movement and how we dress/do our hair/etc. My mom is a Gemini sun as well and she is about to be 60, but doesn't act it really and dresses younger and had blue/pink/etc hair all through her 50s. We both have different risings and venus and I don't really do crazy stuff to my hair as much anymore (I'm more minimalist in style as an adult), but we both always get mistaken for younger than we are.... specifically in how we act/talk/etc. Not in a bad way, like immature, but in a child like wonder and "fun" way. My best friend is a Virgo rising and she always says I'm like a happy go lucky unicorn who keeps spotting shiny butterflies everywhere. Also, been called the most "bubbly yet chill" person they've ever met by many a friend/acquaintance.
Personally, I find you are completely correct with the constantly thinking and being excited by something, but able to drop it instantly as well. Nice way of explaining it. My mercury is in Taurus , but my Venus is in Leo so it's a big circle b/w sun, mercury, venus for me.

I’m a Gemini rising with Mercury in Cancer and moon in Pisces, and the Mercury/Jupiter stuff you said really resonates with me. I’m surprised you didn’t bring up Mercury being a psychopomp, but I appreciate all that was said. The psychopomp part has helped me a lot over the last year in getting a better understanding of what it means to be Mercurial. I juggle a lot as a Gemini rising, but I do love it. It’s a lot to keep up with myself but I can always keep myself in good company with plenty of laughter and plenty to do!

So good. Solstice person here. I have Mars in Gemini with Gemini sun at almost 29 degrees 12th house with Cancer ascendant conjunct a Cancer moon and mercury. I feel like I'm in constant flux between masculine/feminine, young/old, leader/bum, lol. Join and leave groups after I make my contributions and yes, very little attachment to anything but my family, yoga, and luckily I have a job of where there's something new to learn everyday and it's constant problem solving, strategizing, writing, the deadline, and on to the next thing.

That was a very will put description of a Gemini. I am a Gemini Sun in my 7th house conjunct Mercury opposing my ascendant conjunct Saturn with Jupiter in Pisces. I believe all three of those planets have been serious influences through out my life and for the most part constantly I know they're all in angular houses so that makes the much stronger I love to talk I love to communicate I love to learn things. But I also have a very serious and reserved approach to situations that I deem to be risky or excessive so a lot of the time I choose to stay home instead of going and doing stupid things. But it works for me I guess

I have a gemini south node. Very interesting to hear about the shiny things fading immediately, and relationship to midsummer ( I don't think I'm summarizing that correctly). I experience this and struggle with it, am hearing it with a new depth here
I love being a Gemini sun/Mercury. I have Gemini on the 7th house cusp and I just can’t imagine being any other kind of Gemini you know? I’ve been polyamorous for 4 years now. Sometimes with certain partners I am more polyamorous or in a Poly/mono dynamic where my partner has multiple partners and I do not. It just depends. I do get very jealous at times and it hurts so much more than I feel capable of being with for a long period of time but what pains my soul even more is the idea of not creating freedom for opportunity and a wider capacity for love for my partner and myself. Not allowing a relationship to expand, contract, evolve, die, become healthy, become unhealthy. The jealousy is more inconvenient & distracting but the feeling of restricting and limiting the relationships to one thing with the expectation of forever actually hurts me deep.
I know I’m not alone here but i limit my exposure to Netflix shows because I can tend to absorb the outlook and qualities of certain characters I see a piece of myself in & that belief in the character is very powerful for manifesting people, things, & events into my life 😂😂
Like last year summer I discovered Tupac and listened to every song of his. I learned all about his life and I started to want to get myself into Tupac flavored shenanigans.
I have to do a lot of work to stay in my center being and not become. I have to pull myself to ground and understand that I do not need to actively participate in the constant state of “becoming” because I am already becoming without my control or involvement.
We all are on a path of becoming one thing to the next thing and eventually our organic matter will die & we will still be in a state of becoming.
Knowing this creates less urgency in me to become all the thighs and really just root down into what and who I am right now. To get deeply intimate with her.
Idk if that makes sense.
I also do some really great imitations of people & voices.
I would still like to learn voice over acting.
I’m glad for the Taurus moon and the stellium in Leo because it gives me more of a serious or earthen quality. That fiery nature nymph I definitely know quite well. Sort of like, “nature agrees with her” kind of thing.

The sun was in Gemini as well as mercury in the 9th house when I was born. Let me tell you the best thing I’ve ever done; homeschooling my children!!! I am having SO much fun learning all sorts of things and re learning things in a much more magical way. Oh and watching my children’s wonder and experiencing it with them! Idk why this is what I had to say but yeah🧚🏻🤷🏼♀️
Also, I was diagnosed as a teen with manic depression/bipolar disorder and I was dumbfounded that not everyone felt the ebbs and flows and I was convinced everyone else just hid theirs much more and that I was just really open with how I felt. I’m 25 now and I don’t take bipolar meds, I just really respect myself and I have to work HARD on making sure I have boundaries in place for when I’m starting to get a bit tired. I don’t lash out on people, really it’s myself I struggle with most. But I’ve gotten to the point to where I can step back almost as a 3rd person and realize my light and dark “sides” are starting to tug at each other and it’s time to do some extra yoga and work with my heart and throat chakras. Also, making a lot of noise helps me release the tension too. Luckily I make some really silly noises that get me laughing and others around me 😁

As for the literalness of the seasons in the zodiac, it may help people to remember that the north and south poles are not fixed on the earth, and have drastically moved in the past and are moving rapidly even now. That means that seasons, and even zones- such as equatorial and temperate and so on- are not fixed or constant either. So decisions had to be made, and were. Just like when we read anything in any capacity, in order to make sense of it, there must be fixed definitions for its structure, even if/when it contains within that structure moveable or undefined things. It is the same with any system of divination or even physical systems like electrical circuitry or plumbing; we have to work with structural first principles and definitions, and then within that structure and according to first principles, there is (wiggle)room for "play." It's interesting, I have a Gemini moon in the 5th house (children) and my boys are identical twins. Their dad is a Gemini sun. Their moon (mother) is in Aries and I am an Aries sun. The planets got real literal when it came to my family.
