No marriage ends, "Out of nowhere." It was in the making for decades. The couple just didn't invite you into the details of their relationship as it was breaking down. Why would they? So YOU falsely believe that everything is fine because that is all that's shown to YOU publicly. The façade of a happy "perfect" marriage was carried on through social media. So when they divorce you stupidly go, "Gee .. they were so happy."

Yes, I agree. Some people do drift apart over time, but often I think they have been struggling to stay together either "for the kids" or because you are supposed to work at it! It just took decades to finally throw in the towel.

I disagree. Often is the women who are maniacal and selfish and commit 80 to 93% of modern divorces and society today. They often don’t even tell their husbands that they are unhappy and hide behind their emotional Disney fades for sometimes decades. I had the perfect marriage or at least I thought I did For 25 years and my wife up and just left me and broke up a family with four kids which devastated me. I would’ve died for her and sacrificed my life for her, and I gave everything up for her, and yet she ran off with another man because of Happiness. .

More and more years married the more and more meaner he gets and I can't afford to leave he can but won't. . Now he retired he is mostly mean to everyone including strangers off the street. .. I tell you now he is killing me .. slowly. ...what's ironic about all this more then 20 years ago , I left him for the same reason and was living a happy life without him. And then I received a call from his doctor asking me to meet him at the hospital where my soon to be ex was staying . .. doc tells me he knows about our spilt and he knows my ex has no one to help him with his cancer and most likely won't survive .. so I packed up my kids and myself and went back..
It mellowed him for a few years then he forgot what had happened and here I am today , too old ...too tired ... and stuck in a body that hurts all the time... I don't know why I'm telling you guys all this..
You know what yes I do ... once you leave a narcissistic spouse

@scott sanger Most women will say that they dont care about the money but this is a lie. Everyone cares about money to some extent. Some more than others. It may not buy you happiness but it sure does help pay the bills/maintain your prefered lifestyle. Similar to a fire you need three things to keep a marriage going or it will die out. Love, understanding, and plenty of money to pay all of the bills. You take away one of those things away and your marriage is in deep kimchi. lol! Most marriages first have conflict when one or both couples get into money trouble for one reason or another. I could be wrong of course. I've been married for over 20 years now. This is just pathetic. Unless their is an extreme issue like abuse, drug or gambling addiction, there is no good reason to break a marriage. Whatever you reasons you will just carry that to a new relationship. Which is why the divorce rate for people that already remarry is much higher. It is just like people that are "unhappy" and think that if they change where they live, get new job, buy a new house or car, and that will improve their happiness. However it is short lived and they end up being just as miserable if not worse.
These women that talk about the things they are doing now that they are divorced, what was stopping them from doing the same thing while they were married? What effort did they make to improve their happiness while still in their relationship? You don't hear much about that in all of these stories. I think so much of the reason long time couples break up is that they simply grow apart instead of growing together. Most people are not the same individuals at 50 that they were when they were 25. And if they are then THAT'S a problem! Quirks that you may have once found charming and endearing in the beginning start to get on your nerves after a while. Relationships are tough under the best of circumstances. When problems regarding children, finances, etc...rear their head, it makes it that much harder. The daily grind gets mighty old. Since people are living longer today, they ask themselves "Do I really want to spend the next 20 or 30 years of my life in a loveless &/or sexless marriage???" The answer should be no! That's my opinion anyway. I think people need to be thankful for the good experiences such as children etc...that they had with their spouse and just move on to a happier life instead of stagnating in misery or even mediocrity. It's not fair to either spouse to just hang in there because one or both of you is scared of what the future might bring if you move on from the relationship. But if you don't try, you will never know how wonderful things could have been with a new partner. I think people are too dependent on other people for happiness. No one person can give you EVERYTHING you need. This is not to say you should cheat, but you need outside interests/friends besides your significant other. 🌠❤🌈🌛🌏🌞

@@magsteel9891 I still believe in marriage! It just has to be with the right person! When I talk about things changing, I'm not justifying people leaving someone due to sad circumstances such as illness/job loss. What I'm saying is if the spouse's personality is no longer the same as the individual you married, maybe it's time to move on...My parents have been married over 50 yrs. My mom has Alzheimer's. It's absolutely heart breaking of course, but to witness the great love and care he has for her is a thing of beauty and a testament to how wonderful marriage CAN be! ❤

Christine Mushala bless them and best of luck. I'm sure it's hard.
I'm just saying one can justify leaving under any circumstances, including the ones your father is in. Nobody expects to be in that situation when they get married. So they can say it's not what they signed up for, they deserved to be happy, and so on. Your dad has character, and these days that's in short supply.

@@magsteel9891 I understand what you are saying and I certainly agree that character is definitely in short supply these days! I will be 52 years old in May. I was engaged when I was 28. I broke it off and ever since then I've been terrified to get married because the chances of having a lasting marriage are not good. I also have trust issues! I need to get over my fears because God knows I'm not getting any younger!😂 I do believe that there are certain things that are deal breakers such as physical abuse, cheating, substance abuse ( that someone is unwilling to get help for), and involvement in criminal activity that I could NEVER tolerate in a marriage.

So, the same question goes for her. . where was she for 30 years??? The first lady I can't understand why she divorced her husband, both had drug problems it was not a one sided issue🤔 why not get help as a couple to keep the marriage together. The others didn't share too much of the why but, to each is own. Unfortunately, after a certain age if you are looking to marry again, your options are significantly very low ....... marriage today is non existent because, of this especially females who feel they are entitled, confident, and just like the modern today. They have a false sense that, they can get another man after 30 plus years of marriage and getting divorced 😂 Good luck!!!
