Yo man, maybe talk about a few pieces of work that have influenced your world view? I got introduced to Pink Floyd when I was 12, and all I got out of it was the grooves, but as I got older, the lyrics and the music just kept getting deeper, and I found new meaning in the old songs I had listened to hundreds of times. I love that I can look back at the same thing and feel so differently about it years later. I'm 22 now

Crikey Hashem, when you came in and knelt down with the piano track going I thought you were going to sing! Love the idea of a second channel to discuss non-photography issues. I'm coming up to 63, retired at 60 and had a lot of plans but we all know what happened. Photographing since I was 17, migrated to digital but now back on film 90% of the time. Let this channel go wherever it goes.
Okay.... lets start with the obvious.... pets,and more particularly photographing our pets...lol. I have 2 cats, Monki and Finnlyn, both females, 2 large dogs, River and Boom Boom, both male. At first the geranimal family I've collected were skittish around me when the camera was in hand when they were young, now its second nature to them and no big deal. My dog River is black, and I find it hard to get good photos of him because of his black fur, it often is best to catch him with my lens when there is plenty of natural light close at hand, any tips on capturing pets with dark fur?
Haha 😁 I can tell you I struggle with the exact same issue with the dark fur in photos. It's often fun to lean into it and let him camouflage into surroundings. Otherwise, I find that photographing on negative film and overexposing works well since the highlights hold up 😁
