    This is very relatable. I did dance training w/ cross training for several years. I went so hard I burnt out. I stopped working out all together. At the end of last year my friend got me on the 30 day squat challenge. I'm still doing it. Any time I get up to say use the bathroom, I do 10-15 squats. It's now up to 30 squats per visit. I'm up to a total of 100-150 squats every other day. I'm slowly implementing other exercises now, free weights before I leave for work, a set of crunches after I get home from from work. It's not much, but I'm starting to see results. I'm trying to make so easy it's embarrassing (learned this from Tim Ferris). This was rather wordy, my apologies. lol Also thanks for sharing. I hope you find something that works. Ruts aren't fun. 🙂

  • @chigyver
    @chigyver 11 часов назад

    I hope you get out of your rut soon, man! My tip is from Tim Ferris where you say to yourself "What would this look like if it were easy?" And for me, that would be taking 15 minutes the day before to plan my workout, pack my gear and decide what time I'll be working out. That way, on the day where I need to show up, the resistance isn't there fighting me. This carries from my workouts at home I did for the past 2 years to my work's run club and now to me going to the gym right after work. Little resistance, just need to show up and I know what I need to do. No time spent mentally preparing or worrying about figuring it out on the fly.

    I own this tripod. As I am typing this I have three plasters on my fingers. Just got back from a photo shoot in the dark and the lock lugs have pinched my fingers opening and closing. This is not the first time and I am wary of the danger but in the dark in not ideal conditions I got caught again. Not sure of a fix. Maybe gloves in the winter in the dark. Definitely carry plasters. Apart from that I'm happy with it. You have to shed blood for art...

    I just got one of these adapters for my Zf and found your video to be completely accurate to my experience as well. I have a hybrid shooting workflow for still subject, to autofocus with the adapter when punched in like I do when I manual focus. Because the adapter sometimes comes close to focusing, the punching in helps knowing. when it's hit focus perfectly. Some clever work by the folks at Techart. Works well with voigtlander. Next up is my 75mm summilux, which I think will be the real test with a heavier lens.

    Great overview. Answered nearly all questions. Can you leave the flash mounted but swivel to the right or left? I can see you can swivel up and add filters. I need to swivel to the right/left to create shadows on one side of the face for portraits. I have had the GR IIIx for a couple of years. But I do miss my Nikon flash system when out though I don’t miss the bulk which is why I leave my full frame home now. I know I can pop the flash off and point it to the right/left. Thanks for the great overview.

    Usually the best reason to use Olympus cameras is the out of camera jpegs are great. Seldom a reason to shoot RAW. Does give you more options of course but I find RAW options to be too much generally. But I guess you have a methodology. Some nice photos there. The Olympus X-Z1 cameras were great image makers.

    It works ok for photo. With the right AF-C setting the hit rate is not bad even for moving subject. But don't expect it to work for video shooting because it will be hunting all the time for focus and the noise will be in the footage.

I've had them pop up randomly the last few years, especially in the mornings. They do pass quite quickly, but still very annoying. And lastly, I 100% get the tracking aspect you're talking about. Nothing specific in camera, but I do like to mess around a lot with editing in lightroom (again, nothing specific!). From a RUclips perspective, it could be beneficial to rebrand with a name that encapsulates both film and digital, or even create a separate channel for the digital. Alternatively, just being creative to find ways to always making the digital content have some relationship to film too could work. I think 50k is still a smaller channel in the scheme of RUclips, so it won't hurt to rename, especially if it's clearly communicated to the following community, with even a survey for suggestions, and even a poll after that for the most common suggested names. For me personally, I don't have any care for the channel name, and only follow because I know you and Sarah. So, it's the people in the videos that I prioritise, and then the content, and very little for the name besides recognising it at a glance to see when you have another video out, or for knowing how to find the channel by search quickly. I think people tend to watch what they are individually interested in too, for example, I'm most attracted to your travel content or project development based stuff, and don't really watch gear stuff because there's so much of it and I know most of it firsthand already. Hope that input helps add to getting an idea of where you could take everything moving forward. Congrats on the 1k too.

    congrats on 1k. I think it's fine if you post all the digital photography stuff on Pushing Film. The Nikon Zf review was somewhat related to film since it's a retro styled camera and a lot of photographers are into that since most are hybrid shooters and also a lot of RUclipsrs are hybrid shooters as well. If you weren't a hybrid shooter yourself it would be a pain in the arse constantly creating content for film. My 2 cents.

    Unfortunately I don’t have any advice for your dilemma but I have a similar problem on instagram. I have a streetphotography account where I post the good stuff (film+digital) and a film account where I post basically everything I shoot on film. The dilemma is that the good street stuff on film gets obviously postet on the street account instead of the dedicated film account and the mediocre street shots end on the film instead of street account. My non street digital photos have no place at all. What I’m trying to say, I think having a clear line is really difficult if it’s both in the same category (photography). I would probably put the more focused stuff on the main channel like reviews, tips and tricks and travel recaps etc. on the personal channel the more nitpicky details, more casual stuff and everything that cant be categorised. But there are probably a million ways to separate the channels…

    Hello, this has been a great update. I appreciate being involved in the direction of this channel! I have a few thoughts (and for context, I’m a relatively new subscriber who found this channel prior to Pushing Film). When I first found your content, I recognized this to be the more personal channel where you mention photography related things (because that’s something personal to you) and other hobbies/interests. This has made the channel unique from Pushing Film in that it goes into your hobbies in general, whether it be fitness, coffee, or photography. This has created a nice portrait of who you are and what we can expect from the channel. That being said, because you do have Pushing Film, a channel all about one of your specific interests (photography), I would like to see most of your photography content all in one spot (as a photographer myself). This makes finding the content much easier. I wouldn’t mind camera cameos in the personal page, however, as photography is a big part of who you are and having a personal page without it would feel like an incomplete picture. Thanks for hearing us out, congrats on 1000 subscribers, and enjoy your trip!

      Hey! Thanks for comment, and sorry for taking so long haha. I did read it while overseas at the time, but didn't make the time to reply. I have taken the sentiment on board though, and that probably will be the direction I take things. It would make it easier for most viewers as you said! Thanks again 🙂

    I reckon you can keep on keeping on. The formula you have got now is a good one, you could have both forms of photography on P.F, and the rest of your interests here. Congrats on the goal man
