    *****WARNING - If you did not purchase this pattern from madebyanita.co.uk, madebyanita on Ravelry or madebyanitacrochet on Etsy, you have bought from a scammer AND he has charged you more for a stolen pattern than I charge as the designer. His name is Mohamed Adid and he is selling stolen patterns on several sites including creations by Leila, minimalist crafts, nataliescrafts and many others and all the patterns he is selling are stolen from designers like me. He uses several names, Leila, Natalie, Kelly, Lisa J Paddock are the most recent ones. If you have purchased from this man, please email me at hello@madebyanita.co.uk. Thanks so much. Anita ********

    By far, this produces the neatest half square block that ive attempted. Then the join as you go is explained and demonstrated clearly. When you keep the second color strand where you do, it is ready to start the joining block in the right color without clipping ends and sewing in tails at that time. Yes there are tails to be sewn, but that is the price we must pay to produce such a lovely, lovely outcome. What a great project this is going to be!
    Thank you so much. I appreciate your time.

      @sunnydaycrochet7222 It's a little more complicated than that. It's possible to make items using nothing but slipstitch. That's when the British call slipstitch "single crochet."

You've never seen someone spend a million to stop another from earning a dollar off their work. It's legendary.

    Beautiful patter. Thank you so much for holding the hook in the traditional way and not as a screwdriver…..I’ve been crocheting for 50 years and seeing the ugly way so many are using the hook these days truly hurts my eyes.

    • @creativechaos953
      @creativechaos953 5 месяцев назад +1

      Well... It depends😢i've started learning crocheting several months ago, and tried to hold the hook traditionally... But my hand started hurt😢😢😢for me holding a hook like a knife (or a screwdriver) is ok🤷‍♀️

    • @CyndiAnneAdventures
      @CyndiAnneAdventures 5 месяцев назад

      I can't hold my hook that way because my RA and hands just don't agree with holding the hook any other way, then like a knife or screwdriver. I don't really see it as a right or wrong way. I think it really just depends on what's more comfortable and adaptable for each person, individually. 😊

    • @Traci_Websinger
      @Traci_Websinger 5 месяцев назад

      There are two traditional ways (that I'm aware of and I've been crocheting for over 40 years and following the crochet community for about 25) for holding a crochet hook. One is to hold it like a pen and the other is a like a knife. Neither is superior to the other. You may find that some techniques are a little awkward, depending on how you hold your hook, but you make do or find a work around. You also may find some ergonomic hooks don't work for you. Don't laugh, but I crochet like a pen with my right hand, and I crochet like a knife with my left. I am seriously out of practice lefty. I used to teach crochet and being able to show left handed students was helpful. I'm in the camp of, "it doesn't matter how you got there, as long as you got there." Don't even start with how you hold your yarn, lol. (I also have RA and some days, it's interesting.) 😊

    • @madcricket7042
      @madcricket7042 4 месяца назад

      What a stupid comment. There is no "traditional way" to hold the hook other than what you learned and works for you.
