I saw this on my feed and said “wow” ! And I also said I’ll never be able to do this. Then I saw it was my dear Fiber Spider and knew he’d walk me through this! I’m watching this video all the way first, then I’ll try. Thank you, Craig 😍- you always have excellent tutorials. 😘
Thank you for another great tutorial. This looks looks a lot more complex than it is to make, thanks to the way you explained and showed us. It truly surprised me!!!!!
Hey Fibre spider! I came across your channel today and am completely hooked (pun intended!) I must admit, I was so stressed out with life and when I watched your video for the merge shawl, I fell asleep (it’s the first time I’ve slept in a long while). I wanted to send you an email but couldn’t find a contact, so I’m leaving this comment to just express my utmost gratitude for your videos- they’re amazing, you’re such a great teacher with a lot of warmth and sincerity. It’s soothing for the soul and I’m sure I speak for all your subscribers! Thank you for being a light of positivity in the social media yucky abyss. To anyone reading this- let’s all be connected by yarn❤ love you all fellow crocheters
WoW! 👀Once again I am gobsmacked by your skill. 😉 It doesn't seem too hard ( 😂) I don't know if I have the "stick-to-it-ness" to make a whole afghan...but, I think it would make an awesome squishy warm scarf, which I think I could do. I have made several of your patterns as gifts and the recipient always loves the gift "ohhhhhs and ahhhhhs" all over the place. I can see half of the battle is the right yarn and using a bit of a larger hook for the drape. Thanks for a great tutorial (again) 🤗
Thank you for another awesome tutorial. I will be starting one after Christmas. I have 5 Wips I need to finish by year’s end. 3 for Christmas,2 for myself.
Fascinating! Should have left home to go and get food for lunch but got SIDETRACKED BY YOU AND YOUR WONDERFUL TUTORIAL!!! Would be lovely if you actually measured your foundation chain and the finished width of your blanket to give us an idea of the ratio between the two measurements so that we could have a better idea of the approximate percentage of shrinkage to expect. This is not a criticism, just a friendly suggestion.🎉 Thankyou! 😅
Great pattern stitch Craig!! Can you tell us how wide your sample came up with 49 chains? I'd like to make a cowl using the same wt yarn and size hook. Thanks so much!
SOOO complicated! Definitely my next project. Got 8 blankets to do before next Christmas. This is second on my list. Question. Can I start this with a double crochet foundation stitch? It won't hurt the shrinkage?
awesome pattern Craig, I'm going to have to watch this a couple times before I try it What is the weight of the yarn you are using and what size hook? I'm going to go for a rest I have been crocheting for about 12 hours now, maybe I can concentrate better on this pattern after some sleep It took me a while to figure out the celtic hat pattern I hope this is a little easier to figure out I have some Jiffy but I am not sure it's the same weight I love the waves in this very cool Thank you again for an awesome pattern!
If I might make a suggestion to improve your already very good teaching, please, after every significant row, show the whole piece, including the back. It would really make it easier to understand the big picture. Thank you, Mr Spider.
This is awesome. However, I purchased the pattern but the size and yardage information wasn't included. The only thing in the pattern is that it's a "yarn eater" (unless I missed it). You really should fix the pattern to include this info (or list it at the beginning under a "materials" heading). It's the only reason I came to watch the video (I shut it down as soon as I got the missing info from this video). Again, love how it looks. Not happy with the lack of info.
@justpinkcandy I don't state yardage because it's not a predetermined size project. You can make the project whatever size you want with whatever yarn and whatever dimensions. That's why I give the base chain multiple, so that the creator can make their own decision. All too often, patterns give a set base chain length, and then you're stuck within someone else's idea of what's an ideal size. I like to think that I give guidelines, not limitations.

I think it would be awesome if you did a sweater or cardigan.
Hi. If I want to start with a foundation double crochet instead of chaining, how many should I begin with?
A multiple of 12 dcs, plus 11 dcs.
Thank you!
How many chains did you make to make the size of blanket you mentioned?
Great pattern stitch Craig!! Can you tell us how wide your sample came up with 49 chains? I'd like to make a cowl using the same wt yarn and size hook. Thanks so much!
Thank you very much! My swatch from the video measures about 15" in width.
Thanks Craig @@FiberSpider. I'm guessing 6 sections of 12 DC plus one should give me the length for approx 22.5" cowl. You are da best❤
If just doing a swatch; how many crochet chains is needed? Thank you.
SOOO complicated! Definitely my next project. Got 8 blankets to do before next Christmas. This is second on my list. Question. Can I start this with a double crochet foundation stitch? It won't hurt the shrinkage?
Help! I want to begin this project. Directions say to count 12 in between markers, but you count 11 and place the marker. I'm lost!

Craig its say repeat rows 5-9...but you said 5-12...which one..lol😊
