I would like to second that. I really enjoy RUclipsrs who keep it real. So many of us feel pressure to make everything perfect. That will never be real life. My precious niece struggles so much with perfection and unrealistic expectations that my heart hurts for her.

When I was a kid one of my favorite meals was as follows: Take a can of cream of chicken, put it in a bowl with 1/2 cup water or milk and cook for 3-4 minutes and stir well until heated through. We would then have it over toasted bread with some peas on the side. I didn’t realize it at the time, but this was always made when money was tight, but it was so delicious and still one of my favorites.
Reminds me of a dish my grandma used to make called shit on a shingle 🤣 except we made homemade bachamil sauce instead and put chipped beef or ground beef

Super easy & yummy. 1 medium onion, chopped or 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 5 Tbsp. ketchup 2 tsp brown sugar 1/8 tsp. lemon juice 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. salt Homemade onion soup mix - 1/2 cup dried onion flakes 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. celery powder 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. dried parsley 1 tsp. salt Combine and store in airtight container
I do diced onion, diced peppers, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, once meat is cooked I add Worcestershire sauce just pour in, ketchup about 1 cup to 1&1/2 cup and mustard swirled around pan and mix. I taste and add more mustard/ ketchup or Worcestershire to my taste.
I love that you share your real life. Thats the reason i do voice over with my dinner videos because no one would be able to hear me over my kiddos either playing or singing or fighting 😂

Great ideas. Doing the same today. Already made some rice for stir fried rice later. Cooking barley now and will save some for a breakfast or 2. Rest will go in a pantry veggie soup. Next is some beef stew meat in the instant pot. Some will go in the soup and the rest with cream of mushroom & egg noodles. Appreciate how real you are. Life happens for sure.

We have the same veggie chopper! I don't always use mine but if it's carrots I need to dice I do use it! It does make things much easier and quicker but it's more to clean up than just my knife. I don't normally cut my fingers but every now and then one will get in the way out of the blue! I know when you are a very very busy mom your little ones can demand your attention from time to time. I know I did when I was their age! I get along with my brother a lot better as an adult than as kids in the 70's! As always, my absolute very very best wishes to you and yours!!! I had a can of tomato soup and a smaller can of pork and beans. I put them together (didn't drain the beans) with some water and it was a really delicious bean soup. Would totally make it again.
To beef up your chicken soup or for leftovers tomorrow make mashed potatoes and pour the soup over them. Alot of carbs but on a cold day it really does fill a teenage boys belly.
Another option for sloppy Joe night if you are low on buns,....open faced in the oven with cheese melted on them. My kids have decided they like them better than regular sandwiches.

Oh my gosh, your mom moment in the beginning of not being able to think when you hear the screaming...that hit home. I'm nervous to put that stuff on my channel because I feel like it would turn people off to hear screaming kids...but it didn't sound so bad from yours! Haha. Maybe I'm stressing myself out as a new youtuber trying to keep my kids quite all the time while I'm filiming...cause it feels stressful! Sorry, small rant there! haha. You did some great dinners! Shit on a shingle is dried beef, condensed milk, hard boiled eggs, alot of butter. It isnt even cheap to make now. I spend $20 just on the meat.

Love your videos but you do rotate the exact same recipes. It would be great to see some new recipes that are still shelf stable.
Definitely do a lot of rotating just for convenience, but I try to add in some new stuff when I have the time

About 15 minutes should do it for white rice!
