I make the taco pie, but I replace the tomato sauce with mild red enchilada sauce. I think it really adds to the flavor. I need to try those pigs n blankets...they look yummy!
Grease doesn’t equal flavor and, no one like’s to eat a bowl full of food soaked in grease! It’s what you fried up that you have left over, it’s the naughty bits in where you will get some the flavor, which is what you use for gravy and sauces and, besides you will still have a touch of grease on you pan/ skillet! A overload of grease just isn’t good all the way around!
Yum. I make homemade bisquik now but these look yummy and fun. I make a biscuit like the cheddar bay biscuits with sausage and pepperoni which I haven’t made in ages. I might want to make those for dinner tonight. Yum! My son’s favorite is to make fried chicken tenders by dipping the chicken in bisquik mixed with water and then pressing into dry mix and then frying. Going to have to try some of these.
@@smokey7718 Home made Bisquick 6 cups all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup shortening To the bowl add flour, baking powder, and salt. Add shortening. Cut together with pastry cutter or fork to make a grainy mixture. Store in a cool dry place for 3 months or freeze. Makes 8 cups
Thank you, I’ve been trying to find the dough recipe for the pigs in the blanket. It’s not on the box anymore like it used to be and I couldn’t remember exactly how much milk lol

To use the juice from the "apple pie filling" just stir in a bit of corn starch and nuke it in a pyrex, then you will have apple gloop instead of juice. :) I still wish you would use your voice over microphone for your intro, the sound is so much better.

Sometimes I like to leave the sausage grease. So much flavor.
