Here in Scotland, your manhattan beef is a firm favourite, we call it mince n tatties. We add chopped onion and usually carrots to the ground beef but we don't add tomato puree or paste, we just serve it with the gravy like you did. Put it on a plate with mashed potatoes and peas. It is a great way to stretch your budget. Cooking from scratch is much healthier and you can customize it to your taste. Using a mix of a few premade ingredients (eg buns) and scratch is a good time saver.

I always make the hamburger helper. I just add hamburger, meat, green onion and macaroni. I'm definitely trying this way tonight.❤❤❤

Can I substitute anything for cream if chicken for chicken and gravy? I don't like it's texture.
You can make a homemade version of it.
You could probably use 2 chicken gravy packages.
