Our grocery bill, family of 4, was $300 a week on average. I started making meal plans off your videos and have lowered our bill to $200 a week! That is huge for us. You are literally a life saver here in our household. Cooking and meal planning are not strengths of mine and you have been an amazing resource for me ❤
Oh, Alicia! That means so much to me to hear that these recipes have made such a difference for you and your family. Thank you so very much for sharing the positive comment with me! And thank you so very much for watching and being one of my loyal subscribers😉💜💜
It is making a difference for us also. We have just become empty nesters (with an occasional visit from a chick) but our bills are ridiculous. Sometimes we just go out for sandwiches because THAT can be creeper and easier. Watching your videos give me hope and inspiration. I’ve started buying dry milk (because we don’t really drink it) just to have it for cooking and it won’t expire so fast. Now I know coconut milk can be used instead of heavy cream I’m going to get that. Is the shelf life longer for coconut cream?
I’m a single man and my mom never taught me to cook. You’re videos are a life saver. Especially since I’m no longer eating just fast food and microwave meals.
I am so very happy to hear that my videos help you so much. Thank you so much for that very positive comment and I am so happy to have you as one of my subscribers😉🙌🏼🙌🏼
No one ever taught me to cook, I just taught myself via watching others or following instructions until I got the main gist and started experimenting. I can throw together meals that usually taste better than a recipe.
I'm trying to learn to cook different stuff. I'm getting tried of eggs. Mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese 😢 I need quick easy and cheap. When I make something I usually been eating something all week
Oh, Theresa! Thank you so very much for that great shout out for my cookbook. I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying it and I’m so happy to have you as one of my great supporters💜
Oh my goodness, I love your videos. Two reasons- I’m getting out of a 20+ year relationship with someone who was very picky and judgmental. His thoughts became my thoughts about most things. I have this terrible anxiety about cooking and his pickiness didn’t help. Through the years I learned to mute out what my own tastes were. Watching your videos helps me find what I actually like, and makes very accessible recipes that I can look forward to preparing. The second reason is because my daughter usually has friends stay over with us and I feel bad not cooking for them. Again, the anxiety comes in. I’m such a slow cook too. That enchilada recipe is totally something I can do and I feel like they would love it. Thank you so much for sharing these recipes. No hype or unnecessary backstory, just great food 👍🏼
Wow Moriah! That is amazing for sure. Quite a savings! Thank you so very much for sharing that with me. And thank you so very much for watching! I really appreciate that😉💜
I just want to say thank you. In today's economy you are helping the average family save so much money. Even if I don't make a recipe of yours, you give me new insights into how to use items in new ways rather than sitting there for months in my pantry!
Thank you so very much for that very positive comment! I am so happy to hear that you were able to get something out of my videos and thank you so very much for watching. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend😀
The turkey and rice taco's is one of my favorite meals I love to stretch it further by adding black beans and sometimes corn ... or make it vegetarian by skipping the ground turkey/beef and just the rice, beans and corn ... so good
Wal-Mart usually has Great Value "cream of" soups for much less than the Campbell's brand. I've noticed a lot of "shrinkflation" where frozen veggies are concerned. Thank you for mentioning about checking the price per ounce, as there are many who haven't been taught that. It would be nice if all high schools equipped their students with financial skills.
Thank you so very much Laurie! I sure do appreciate that positive feedback and you are so right, those are good skills to learn for the real world😉 thank you so very much for sharing that tip too and have a wonderful rest of your week 😉💜

Thanks Julia just what I’m looking for budget friendly meals. Every time I go to the grocery store lately, it cost more and more for my weekly grocery. Looking for ways to cut down those cost. I knew that I could count on you. I think I’ll try all of these recipes. tfs
It really is so sad I only have a family of 3 and it’s a lot nm a large family even average family of 4 and then it’s so hard to eat healthy ! Then you really can’t afford it
I'm really getting serious about my grocery and gas bills, not to mention electricity. I've started incorporating homemade biscuits, cornbread, fried bread, dumplings, anything I can to add to our meals. I spent 100.00 for a 2 people budget for the week and that's just the basic ingredients needed. I add homemade dumplings to any stew, soup or beans as well, just trying to make everything stretch and no eating out at all.
@@AliciasKitchen7 I'm surprised you could even do that now days, what a stretch!! Good job!! Us cooks keep our brains running all hours to think up creative, cheap meals!

@@JuliaPacheco thank you, Julia, for all you do despite having a family yourself. You're sharing recipes and ideas to all of us and a great inspiration! For the tatertot casserole, the meat can be substituted for 2 cans of cannelli or northern beans, drained. I made this for my Girl Scout unit for day camp. We fed it to 24 girls/ adults cooked in a box oven, and it was the girls' #1 lunch for the week!
We love knorr's Mexican rice in our tacos! We feed 6 by using 1lb meat, 1 bag rice, 1 can beans, I can kernal corn. It is a meal for under $8 even with a few toppings!
Thank you so very much for that great tip, Gina! That sure does beef up that recipe and make it heartier for a larger group of people. Thank you so much for watching!😉🙌🏼

That’s awesome, Lisa! Thank you so much for your positive comment and I sure do appreciate your support here for me and my channel. Thank you so much and have a great rest of your week!💜
We love tator tot casserole!!! I make my double bacon cheeseburger version as well. Add seasoning, ketchup and mustard to the meat mixture, a can of cheese soup and roughly a half can of milk. I just judge it. You'll know the consistency it should be. I then either fry up a couple of pieces of bacon or have bacon pieces ready. I put about half the bacon in the hamburger mixture. Then the I put one layer of tator tots on the bottom, add the meat mixture, a handful of cheese, then another layer of tator tots. Since it's doubled I bake at 375 for about 40 minutes. Then I pull it out cover with cheese add the rest of the bacon and put it in to melt. You can put whatever you want on it. Condiments, lettuce, tomato, pickles, you pick. I love pickles so I just eat them on the side. My hubby likes his with hot sauce. Side note #1: This is far from healthy, but is very filling. We are also a family of 7. All those tator tots are a belly filler and stretch a meal with a small amount of meat. Side note #2: I've always served veggies or salad on the side, I've never seen green beans put in it. I LOVE green beans. Now I have to try it next time I make the regular version. Thanks again for more wonderful content.

I appreciate you showing alternative ingredient options from time to time! I'm not a big beef person and often use ground turkey anyway but those turkey and rice tacos just look delicious. I also am excited to try that pasta! I eat pasta more than I probably should but if I'm not spending much money on it I will justify it 😂

After following your cooking recipes and saving tips as well as shopping at Walmart ( and sometimes Aldi’s ) for ingredients - I brought our weekly grocery bill down from about $350 to $185 on average. Plus the meals are fun to make and delicious to eat! Thank you!!
The prep ahead burrito look like a winner to me. Always good to get a jump ahead especially now when we are so busy in the garden. Did 10 quarts of peaches and 11 jars of peach jam today! More peaches to pick tomorrow. How about a video featuring seasonal fresh produce uses? Lots of us gardeners out here this year.

That’s awesome, Lisa! Thank you so much for your positive comment and I sure do appreciate your support here for me and my channel. Thank you so much and have a great rest of your week!💜
Made it tonight! So darn good and easier than the recipe I had.
Thank you so much for these simple, cheap recipes. They are such a help ❤.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback! Have a great rest of your week🙌🏼
@@JuliaPacheco Awe 😍 you’re so welcome, thank you, I sure hope you do the same ❤️
We love tator tot casserole!!!
Wow, Cora! That does sound amazing and it would definitely feed a larger group of people very well. Thank you so very much for sharing your recipe here and thank you so very much for your positive feedback. Have a great rest of your week😉💜💜

Great recipes again Julia! We add rice to our burritos too, along with eggs and sausage and veggies (like onions, peppers and even diced carrots and celery) and cheese. Tasty stuff.
The breakfast enchiladas looks so good!

Good morning sunshine, I Hope your week is going well. Thank you for another amazing video.
Thank you so very much Barbara. Sure appreciate your kind words and I hope you have a wonderful week as well!💜💜
I appreciate you showing alternative ingredient options from time to time! I'm not a big beef person and often use ground turkey anyway but those turkey and rice tacos just look delicious. I also am excited to try that pasta! I eat pasta more than I probably should but if I'm not spending much money on it I will justify it 😂
Thank you so very much for the positive feedback about alternative ingredients. I appreciate that and I agree, ground turkey is less expensive alternative and super good too. Thank you so much for watching!
Wonderful meals, they all look delicious! I love the cute little signs you have in your kitchen ❤️

That’s true too, Maureen! Thank you so much for your positive comment and thank you so much for watching
Thank you for posting so many easy, simple but delicious meals!! I love the fact that you use regular everyday ingredients that are easy to find at the store. You need to create a "5 ingredients or less" cookbook. I would definitely buy it! I just discovered you today and I already printed several recipes that I want to try.
Thank you so very much for the suggestion! I am coming out with an E cookbook very soon. I will let you know when that happens. Thanks so very much for your positive feedback about my recipes. Have a wonderful rest of your week!😉💜
Love love all of your videos!
Your kitchen is just beautiful, I know you are so proud.
Wishing you and your family good health and happiness in your new home. 🌺
Thank you so very much, Laura for that very nice compliment. I sure do appreciate it and yes! I do love it. And thank you so much for your kind words for me and my family. I wish those same things for you and your family💜💜
The taco mixture might work well for enchiladas, too. I would have to add some onions, black olives and jalapeños 😁
Absolutely would! Thank you so much for watching🙌🏼
Your are an amazing chef, it was an honor watching you make miracles in the kitchen.
Well thank you so very much! I sure do appreciate that🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hi Julia!! The turkey rice tacos is an awesome idea! I will definitely try that. I usually take a can of drained black beans and throw it in with my taco meat. The breakfast casserole is also on my to make list! You’re the best. ❤️
That’s an awesome suggestion, Dawn. Thanks so much for sharing that and I hope you have a wonderful week😉🙌🏼
These meals sound great and I really love the enchilada idea! It is SO clever!
Thank you so very much Kitty! 😀
I always like to add in some inexpensive meals on the weeks that we splurge on steak or other expensive cuts of meat. I usually just went with hotdogs, but these meals are so much better!!!🥳💝
That is a great way to do it! Thank you so much for your positive comment and I hope you enjoy these recipes. Have a wonderful rest of your week😉💜

After following your cooking recipes and saving tips as well as shopping at Walmart ( and sometimes Aldi’s ) for ingredients - I brought our weekly grocery bill down from about $350 to $185 on average. Plus the meals are fun to make and delicious to eat! Thank you!!

Another awesome video, thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great new recipes. Love your videos and how you mentioned health benefits too of certain foods.
Thank you so very much, Karen!😉💜
The prep ahead burrito look like a winner to me. Always good to get a jump ahead especially now when we are so busy in the garden. Did 10 quarts of peaches and 11 jars of peach jam today! More peaches to pick tomorrow. How about a video featuring seasonal fresh produce uses? Lots of us gardeners out here this year.
Oh my goodness! That is amazing! Sounds like a ton of work, but I am sure it is totally worth it especially during the winter months when you have fresh fruit. Thank you so much for sharing that with me and I sure hope you enjoy that burrito recipe. Thanks so much for watching🙌🏼
Finding you has been such a blessing to me and my family! I typically plan our weekly meals around a few of your videos, it takes all the stress out for me! Thank you for being so awesome!!!

Yay! The meatless pasta is yummy looking! Petite diced tomatoes 🍅 are a must have pantry staple for me too! 🙃🥕🌶🥦
I just want to say your content is a blessing with grocery prices increasing. I was prepared to live off smoothies and only a real meal at breakfast. Now I can have tasty dishes 3 times a day if I want ❤️ thank you for sharing
Well thank you so very much, Ruby! I really do appreciate your positive feedback about my channel and I really do appreciate you💜💜
Stirring the paper towel is so smart❤
Thank you so very much!😉
The first dish looks like mixed rice or risotto on its own without the flat bread. Thank you for introducing new ideas.
You are so welcome and I really hope you enjoy💜
How can you keep coming up with such amazing recipes? They all look so yum! And I'm a huge Walmart fan too. Thanks Julia 👍❤️
Thank you so much Linda!🙌🏼
I make tater tot casserole a little different. Cook meat put in container. Then a can of corn. Then a cream soup. Usually cream of chicken or mushroom. Dump and spread. Then cheese slices. And then the tater tots. I bake based on instructions on tater tot bag.
Thank you so very much for that recipe suggestion for tater tot casserole. I sure do appreciate it and thanks so much for watching😀
