Had nice memories there 47 years ago
The name of the pool is The Mirror Pool, because it reflects the building C in the background. Your friend mentioned that the brick building (R building) was made to look old, but I think is actually one of the oldest buildings at PCC. Remember, PCC has been around for almost 100 years. I attended PCC in the 1990s and I was surprised by the quality of the academic and the highly educated instructors. I remember taking a couple of science courses and having scientists from JPL or Caltech as the instructors. I also remember that because PCC is so close to Caltech, it was easy to attend events or some lectures at Caltech. However, my best experience at PCC was in 1997 when Stephen Hawking visited and gave a lecture at the school. Lastly, you mentioned that it's probably easier to transfer to a UC from PCC, and that was probably true years ago when PCC was the number 2 community college in the nation. I graduated from PCC but ended up transferring from ELAC where I really felt that the instructors cared about one's success. I applied to UCLA and UC Berkeley and got into both of them.
My favorite place in LA County. Beautiful campus. Amazing faculty. Good people. I loved going to PCC.
Very beautiful campus my cousin. Riley has gone there since the fall of 2021 it is a very beautiful campus
Theres Princeton and Caltech grad whos working in this college. Its unbelievably impressive.
Thank you for touring our campus !
You bet!
I miss PCC:,( I'm transferring to a UC next fall and wish I could have spent more time on this beautiful campus. Great video!!!
Thank you and good luck!
In which UC are going?
@@meyhardudeja4944 I'm still deciding between UCLA and Cal! I have until June 1st to commit :)
@@sofiaenger1762 this is kinda late but do you have any advice for those going to PCC who are planning to transfer to a UC? I heard that the counselors are pretty bad at pcc
I graduated from PCC on 2007, fine arts major. I had a great time over there, lots of beautiful memories from teachers, classes and classmates. I was an international student, from Peru. Most of my art classes were at the R building. I really enjoyed that campus, thanks for the tour, it's nice to see how it has been mordenized throughout these years!
Thanks for sharing!
Zetra021: Did you go back to Peru or transferred to a school in the US?
@@rocaelgomez6616 I got into UC Riverside but decided no to transfer, it was not worth the money, so I came back to Peru. However I took as many art classes as I possibly could at PCC since the facilities the resources and the faculty were so good.
@@zetra021 Thanks for replying. I don't know what's happened at PCC but I think the quality of education there has declined. The facilities have not been modernized, except for a new and really nice Center For The Arts building next to the Gym, the facilities are the same. Even the enrollment has dropped significantly but that can also be due to the pandemic which affected pretty much all community colleges, and some UC schools (except for UCLA and UC Berkeley which received record number of applications.)
yeah I go to pcc and they have a great transfer rate and colleges really like this school as a community college. I definitely recommend it to anyone who lives in the area or anyone who lives like 40 min away, like me who comes from Whittier.
Thanks for sharing!
I took a couple of tennis courses there,.for free! That's another good thing about community colleges.
Sweet!
I go to that school! It’s actually larger compared to majority of the community colleges in LA. But yes on the universities.
If you don't mind can you please share me information for international student.I want to apply that college.I visit website but I don't get any.
I was there in 1996 literature was my major news literature around there
What day and time did you guys tour the campus it looks so empty i want to go around this time so I won’t be intimidated by all the students😭 I will be a freshmen in the fall !
We went on the weekend 😀 good luck and congrats!
I am the best writer writing a dissertation with a major in psychology all facts . In pasadena at 9 years old I studied gymnastics and ballet at pasadena civic ballet and had a red belt and was just that good of a dancer and 63 pounds.
Can you do Rio Hondo College?
IELTS required for PCC?
Did you just say because it’s located in Pasadena it’s safe???
Pasadena has high crime and used to be deadly in the 80s and 90s .
Was just as bad as south central in some parts
And? No city is safe from crime
I used to not go to school here
Score score score
can you not go inside the buildings?
Unfortunately due to covid all school is still shutdown and the buildings are locked :(
Going to PCC doesn’t heighten your chances of getting admitted to a undergraduate program.
Can you do ELAC?
Sure! Stay tuned for the next couple of weeks.
Only following the law and always following it neatly appropriately and without taking anything personal business is business. Perfect score 100%
Hahahahah! Dressed neatly no computations without following the law. A parade with losers while I was in high school with a reject correct officer trainer who was young too for the rose bowl parade toohahhaha!
