More colleges need to adopt the pass/fail system for the first year of starting school. I heard MIT does something similar as well. This encourages students to explore and take classes that might not be in their comfort zone, instead of hunting for the most convenient classes to get the best gpa. That's how it is so many schools nowadays, especially where I go to school at ucla. Because the goal is to go to some form of grad school, students are encouraged to pick classes that facilitate the best grades possible, instead of truly having a diverse learning experience. And if you screw up once, you're gonna have a huge hole you most likely will never be able to get back from, since your gpa will be ruined
Great. I finally figured out what school I'd like to send me in debt.
+f6fhelldweller lolol
you know you can get a scolership
MIT does pass/fail the first year too. A good idea.. 50% of the Class of 2018 (this year's freshman class) were valedictorians and MIT turned down more 800s than it accepted. All of a sudden, people have to get used to being ''average''. The work load is enormous too, compared with high school...
This School seems to be really cool. I like the fact that you have to take a lot of other science courses before you can graduate, I think that's smart. I would love to enroll here someday or at least visit a lecture or two. Love ya caltech.
p.s. thanks for the feynman lectures :)
You can take your exam wherever you want?! are you freaking kidding me?! sign me in!! wait... I am not smart enough * crying inside *
lol if you cheated on in exam, you may pass the University level but in real world you will be a failure. And CalTech doesn't lose anythings except by yourself. So why not? :)
I like the looks of the campus. Ive lived in relatively small spaces becuas of incarceration and motels when I was a young. I'm use to it. Im interested in a physics degree; the science of matter and energy and the interaction between the two.
One day...
It's like looking at a zoo, of geniuses.
***** Meh, they're equally entertaining.
