How does housing work? For community colleges? Advice video for community college students in the Los Angeles, it includes general advice for all of you but are more detailed for the Santa Monica College students.

Areas:
Culver City - Close to SMC, safe and calm, less expensive than most central LA areas. There is a lot more resturants and cute mall-like areas being built in Culver City, so it more "happening" than it used to be.
Santa Monica - very expensive even for the low quality places, the closer to the ocean the more expensive. A lot of turists in the main areas. In my opinion an overated area.
West Hollywood - A great area if you want to go out a lot, uber fairs will be less since the clubs are close by. The area is pretty safe but kind of pricy.
Westwood - Safe area, very centraly located to EVERYTHING depending what you are looking to do in LA, pretty pricey but in my opinion worth it. (Close to many bus routes to SMC and close enough to the LA night life in Hollywood)

Lincoln Place Apartment Homes (right by the grocery store Ralphs and phamacy Rite Aid, and close to SMC with the Big Blue Bus - but pretty expencive for the size of apartments)

Wow A good primer. LA kids are very sloppy and prone to drug use and over use of alcohol. So it's best to stay away until you meet them at school and can check them out before trying to be room mates with them.
