@@TheAfterPill I've been in Bitcoin and retired three years ago. My net worth is higher today than when I retired. I make more money being away from the slave life than when I was actually working. Sound money or the lack of it is a huge cause for all the economic disorder in our system. Think about it, you work and slave 40 to 60 hours a week for your wages and then the government prints two trillion more at the push of a button without any sweat equity to fund its woke programs that don't even serve you. Well, they just diluted the value of the money in your pocket by doing this injection of new money which also causes inflation that creates higher prices which is a back door tax on you. Bitcoin is sound money and Bitcoin is freedom.

Companies are now strategically trying to get rid of people and have a rotation of new hires because employees who stick around get burned out and start getting comfortable plus they expect raises so they would rather have new hires it’s sad but Amazon and Uber are doing it. My advice would be try to start a business or develop a money making skill so you can work towards becoming self employed.

I am 59 and I just quit my 9 to 5 career and I don't have another job - I have been doing this shit for 25+ years and you are correct the only thing they care about is $$. There used to be sort of a social contract that companies had with workers that if you were loyal they did try and provide pensions and other benefits and layoffs were not the rule that they are now. These days if they can save $5 they'll lay you off without a second thought and they won't even be nice about it - in fact the more ruthless and poorly they treat their employees the more admired they are by Wall St. I really fear for the future because our capitalist "system" seems to have become a race to the bottom of "first corporation to lay off all of it's employees wins!"

My field (pharmacy and health care generally) is a disaster.
This was building prior to the pandemic, but that certainly accelerated it. Pays well, easy to find work. But every job I’ve had in recent memory is insufferable and doesn’t act in a reasonably safe manner for patients. The amount of errors and carelessness is breathtaking.
This is a legit point some on the left have when they use the phrase “late stage capitalism.” When you excessively deregulate the market and let corporations and wealthy interests almost always get their way legislatively, you no longer have a free market. This is extremely evident in healthcare. Docs, pharmacists, etc, are told what they can/can’t do by bean counters. It’s guided primarily by monetary concerns, not patient well being or the science. I don’t believe in my work or derive satisfaction from it. Most of my positive influence on the health/well being of others happens outside of work.

Folks who work in the funeral industry and in cath labs (to take care of pts with heart issues, heart attacks) report seeing unusual white clots in the body that they haven’t seen before. The outcome studies, sometimes numbering in the millions, show that your risk of heart issues are greater from COVID itself than from the jab, but if it’s true that these clots are in the body and not currently causing disease or things we can pick up in lab tests, then it’s concerning. And wouldn’t be picked up or detected in these studies…yet. Hopefully my frequent sauna use and optimized nutrition/active lifestyle will mitigate if these reports are true.

Those of us with our brains turned on and that care, see it. It’s pretty obvious. Key words though. Care and brain turned on. It’s frightening how many health care workers are either beat down, don’t care, or haven’t developed their own mind and thoughts when it comes to evaluating evidence and arriving at conclusions.
Preventive medicine is always best. The system in place doesn’t reimburse us for that. It only reimburses us when you come to us, already sick.
I haven’t met a single employer who is at all interested or gives a shite about the fact that I live out an extremely healthy example, having done Ironmans, ultramarathons, staying very lean and fit year round. I travel frequently and have had something like 12 jobs during my career so far. If anything, it’s a negative to them and I don’t fit in with the healthcare crowd, who as a cohort is not healthy, tends to drink, eat poorly and not stay active.
If I want to promote health and wellness, I have to squeeze it into an already unsafe workload, or do it on my own time. I have better quality interactions with older folks at the gym who approach me while curiously watching the gymnast style moves calisthenics is known for.

Man your video was spot on. In various areas, job markets are cutting costs and corners to increase revenue. The issue is that revenue is used to align big-wig executives and corporations. I visiting my old job only to find out from a friend of mind that many positions remained open and have not been filled. This means the money that was to be used to pay a vacant was not filled. Pocketing cost they in turn have current employees doing job of 2 to 3 positions.

We are regularly short staffed in my departments and they are pretty eager to hire in order to fill positions. Seems like healthcare professions and especially the ones that deal directly with patient care are pretty job secure!
