I am dark brown with yellow undertones and it is a struggle to find deep foundation shades that are not red or orange undertones. You have put me on to so many foundations and concealers. Why Do People of Color Always Have To Pay More For Makeup That Works Perfectly For Us? I purchased both sets, and I have a medium-tan skin tone. If the coral gloss and nude lipstick are not going to be sold individually, unfortunately Dose of Colors will lose out on so much money collectively from all of us new customers not repurchasing. Many RUclipsrs have been asking for the chocolate chip liner to be sold individually, so it kind of seems manipulative to imply “buy the entire set now or else it’s gone, this is the last time we restock” When statistically women of color do not have a lot of disposable income so we have to spend wisely, and a brand is saying spend $50 or else you know you can’t get this exclusive lip liner that we know works for your skin color, individually you could sell that lipliner for $15 or $16, I know Kyle Cosmetics makes their lipliners for $12 so it kind of seems like there is a people of color tax there, which is sad that we always have to pay extra for colors that work for us. For example, Fenty Beauty foundation $34 in 2017 when Maybelline at the time was like $7-8 but they had very limited options for people of color.
