Your channel has always made me think of my uncle. Recently lost him. He was a big diesel gear head (by big I mean 6’8” 380) He lived at our family farm here in SC where he helped me build my first K5 when I was a teen. RIP Big Red.
Just to see and hear it run was awesome!! If you need a witness to sign an affidavit that it's been in storage for that long, let me know... . Lol. Can't wait to see it lodged up!!! Git it goin.
Good to see Ole Yeller getting some daylight. Brian, those other shade tree hackers have to try to empress there audience, you being yourself is far more important! Have fun at the event, and the 3500 will show them who's boss 👍👍😁

If your open to it I would have a fun time helping out with the turbo/s setup for the truck. I may have something here that would fit the goals for the truck really well and would enjoy helping out. Extremely cool to see this truck again.

Yeah there is always instigators in the comments section! LMAO I am just excited to get it running and moving again under its own power. I do still have those 26 holes to drill and tap for the 14mm studs if you want to hunker under a hood a few hours. You young bucks take that better than us older guys that have had 20 more years of first gen suspension working us over. :-) I still have to mill the head and I think I will do some more extensive porting while I have it apart. The bar is set much higher now than it was back then. :-)
New hp record 717hp for a 5.9 12v fuel only by @GavinHuke . I may still be the torque king at 1300ft-lbs though as I don’t think that has been beat. Gavin got close with 1271
I go out to my 93 D-350 almost daily and sometimes wonder if it will have some new issue. The latest one is that the A/C leaked out. My guess is the o-rings in the compressor.
Mine needs an ac line that is no longer available. I keep forgetting to call my ac people and see if they would be interested in reproducing the diesel lines
@@bcbloc02 The diesel fuel lines should be available from Cummins. I tried to get somebody to bend oversized fuel lines and that was a total failure as they couldn't get the bends even close.
Hard to think its been that long. Would have loved to see old yellow back in action. Did you have a 14mm pump on it? I built a 14mm pump with a bigger cam plate. It only made it a short time on the engine and it locked up and I was out of money.
18 years, holy crap, I didn't think its been that long. Then I thought back and its been 12 years since I gave up admin on the 1st gen site. Man, we are getting old.
I did some more pump testing stuff and was going to post it on first gen org but can’t even get logged in there anymore. The password reset function doesn’t work
I reset your password, I sent the info to your email account on file. Give it a try. Its been a few years since I dug into the user settings , but figured it out.
Looks to be a liquid to air charge air cooler on there. Was that factory on those first gen Cummins Dodges? I was never really around them. I know the second gens a lot better. Also curious about the concrete “rails” in the floor of your shed. Old footings?
It is a factory Cummins liquid to air from an industrial application as built the truck just ran the turbo straight into the intake. It wasn't until 91.5 models that they put a charge air cooler on them. The concrete rails incase rebar that ties the footings together because the building is an arch so the loads try to spread the footings. The ties keep that from happening.
@@bcbloc02 Thanks! The CDC version of the 5.9 as they are in the CaseIH MX150 and MX170 tractors has that liquid to air cooler, which is why I recognized it and got curious.
Yeah I could do a new head but if I go that far it will be a 24v and that is another batch of work and $$$ so I better stick with Just fixing what I have got for now.
oh there is an old rock in my yard bet Brian can get it running and roll of the lawn LOL
As long as the rock is a diesel no problem 😉

That Red Power Wagon is nice too.
Yep. It’s a rare truck not many long wheelbase cab and chassis 4wd trucks made

Would like to see more and learn more of this truck as well!
More to come!
good to hear it running
Its amazing how long your (my) projects can sit as time marches on. Another one for another day.. Good luck with it!
Got a lot of those one day projects!
Never doubted you'd get it running for a second! Hope you're doing well!

Awesome old first gen, Brian! I’ve seen it in your videos a couple of times and have always wondered about it. Excited to see it run!
It is what it is sometimes! But that’s why I love diesels! No way in hell a gas engine would have started that easy after sitting that long!
No worries and you've got time. It'll be better now than then and you can still hold the title. Blessings
Well it did run. Not sure that I would go anyplace on 18 year old tires anyway.

Send me an email. I was going to put the old manifold charger back on it but I realize it’s pretty dated and low tech at this point.
