the thing about lauren is she has so many skills up her sleeve to choose from, Check out some of her routines from 2005-2008, she has more skills than this
@Timtation69 but deng linlin's was cleaner and Deng had the higher difficulty and deng got a higher execution score she might have won though if is wasn't for the big step at the end
I do love her routines, but after reviewing the footage again, I do think she did more of a whip pike versus a true layout that we often see the Chinese and a few other top gymnasts typically do so well. I am so happy she medaled, but I don't think her move should be awarded as a true layout.
yea but they said it was unusual not original. and when they said and this is her spin, they meant it as, all gymnasts have to do a spin and they r saying "her spin" as they spin she is performing, not that the spin is named after her. besides, shes the only gymnast to ever of done a 2.5 spin that way. Terin Humphrey did a triple spin in that position but the FIG f***ed up and only gave her credit for 2.5 (even though she successfully performed a triple spin during the 04 olympics)
her precision was not as good as deng linlin's. she didnt complete her spin, didnt have good form on her switch ring leap and back layout, plus that big step on landing that would already cost her 0.3
Aerial walkover+Front Tuck= Dream combo. This current code would reward her more for her difficulty. Queen of wolf turns.
That aerial walkover into front tuck though...
The real world balance beam champion that year, so much smoother and cleaner than the listed winner.

i think she got through and made a nice routine with less wobbles compared in the olympics
SHOULD'VE BEEN GOLD!
She's just damn beautiful

dose dasha still compete
i know her spin is called a humrphy, after terin humphrey, but humpphrey only performed a triple spin not a 2.5, so why is the 2.5 named after her?
Craskin the triple wolf turn is named after lauren mitchell not humphrey
She became famous for the WOLF ON THE BEAM AND SCREWED IT UP HERSELF! TALK ABOUT FAVORITISM 🤨🙄
Her spin wasn't even 2.5 here, she stops at two, puts her hand down and pushes herself to "complete" the half spin.
Iv meet her she cam to my house 😘😇
She's pretty. :)
the spin is so ugly
It is ugly, but Lauren has some of the best wolf turns (just not here).
@@annapavfan4680 It’s as if she pioneered this skill
