"You're actually not even that intimidating which is unfortunate for the people who don't see you as a threat" Fucking rad line.
Absolutely 💯
"Youre better at insight checks than the other forge master."
Heh. I get it
the other guy apparently multi-classed as a bard.
i heard he really likes playing flutes, but he's been learning the pipe organ
" better at insight checks than the OTHER forge master" KEK
Last I checked the other guys better at summoning demons so its fine

Yeah the simp master did not make good choices.

“Even if he doesn’t want to be” what a fucking line
I've been waiting for this build since the beginning of the month. I love Issac as a character. He's complex, softspoken, and has such an inner rage for his world. Having acharacter like him for a D&D campain would be amazing for a morally questionable campain.
This is a character you want in a campaign where there is a lot of mass combat. Plus it helps negate the money thing if your party carves out a small Kingdom.
As a DM I would not let someone play this kind of build. Too many summons.
I have played a character that is a lot like Isaac. She's one of my faves. I got burned out when things got rough and the GM was having a hard time personally, but I don't have any misgivings towards them and I still love that character. She was a full Artificer instead of a Wizard, and I think that if I had it all to do over again, I'd make her a pure wizard; if I ever do a rebuild (to accommodate her plate armor) I'd do this build plus a first level of Fighter.
I totally agree my friend
Oh no, Tulok, you made another summoner build before Tasha's came out! Run! RUN!!!
Yeah but this build doesn't care about that, we want permanent demons, not temporary bitches
@@werewolfjedi38 yeah I commented before watching, this kinda proves that the old summoning spells still have some use, even if situational
@@aidanboyle7374 plus, you can have both!
This video was recorded before Tasha's came out. But, I'll just say this here:
Tasha's comes with many summoning spells that make your summons a bit flexible, a bit personable considering they're one creature each, and easier to control.
Also, Tasha's Otherworldly Guise would be good for your powerup form, as a monstrous equivalent to Tenser's Trasnformation.
Just a handy tip for anyone building at home.
He also didn't notice you get 2 (not 1) spell each time you level up.
@@collindouglas8188 He only shows the number of spells you can prepare from the spell book to make it easier to understand. But yes this build would know more spells
For once, the "light for your dumb human eyes" joke makes thematic sense as well
the way you dubbed dracula talking to isaac with the clip of Shane Madej saying "what's up demons it's me, ya boi" was so unexpected
OMG IT'S ISAAC! TULOK I LOVE YOU!
Man, this is going to be interesting to play as
Alright going into this I'm gonna guess some weird combination of wizard/monk or monk/cleric. Isaac is a fast and nimble fighter yet his magic is primarily invoked in necromancy. Cleric maybe because you could argue he serves Dracula but that's a stretch because that doesn't necessarily mean that he gets his powers from him
edit: oh no multiclassing? i kinda had a vibe that isaac would have some levels of rogue/fighter/monk thrown in just to make up for his martial skills but even without it still checks out! him having a dump stat in charisma makes perfect sense because the man in the show literally cant get anything he wants when he tries to be civil.
Honestly? SAME. The pure Wizard with only ASIs instead of feats until 19 for Tough felt REALLY flat and honestly not very Isaac like. I would go Variant Human also for Resilience (Con)
Using Standard Array I would go slightly different: Intelligence 15 (+1), Constitution 14 (+1), Charisma 13 (+1), Dexterity 12, Wisdom 10, Strength 8.
Level 4 Wizard I would take Tough cause Isaac takes a beating and keeps on going, no reason to wait until lv19 to pick up those extra HP points.
Level 8 Wizard I would then grab the Durable feat, no reason to keep Constitution at 15 and Durable means you get a minimum of 6 HP per hit dice. Your average as a wizard is 5.5 per hit dice so this is a huge boon for you.
At level 11 I would stop taking Wizard cause you got Focused Conjuration, you don't need anything else from the class because you already have Planar Binding: all you would realistically be getting from more Wizard levels are the spell slots. So! Start taking levels in Shadow Magic Sorcerer instead, this is why the Charisma 14. You get the spell slots you need plus metamagic to make yourself more flexible. Plus at level 16, you get Hounds of Ill Omen for even more summons.
Level 4 Sorcerer, level 14 over all, grab ASI for Intelligence, the same for Level 8 Sorcerer, level 18 overall, to max out Intelligence.
So at level 20 you would be a School of Conjuration Wizard 10 and Shadow Magic Sorcerer 10 with 182 HP, if you are taking average, and 20 Intelligence. It will be easy to amass a hoard of monsters with high level planar bindings, if you can deal with the insane 1k GP cost per cast, and be able to take a few hits yourself with a large-ish HP pool and the ability to regain a bunch with hit dice during short rests.
I think hexblade warlock works better besides the having good charisma part.
Tulok: "Isaac is a human even if he doesn't want to be"
That one line forced me to pause the video and die of laughter for a good 6 to 7 minutes.
Isaac may be disappointed with mankind, but maybe he could have that hope rekindled like Dracula once did? An Uncle Iroh build please, so the elder may teach him a thing or two over a cup of calming jazmine tea.
That would be a really fascinating conversation
@@biohazard724
Issac: Why do I keep doing the same thing, expecting a different result? Isn't that the definition of insanity?
Iroh: Yes, but it is because you wish to try a certain method first. The worst mistake you can make is doubling down Instead of trying all the possibilities.
Isaac: What are you getting at?
Iroh: I usually like to talk with people over tea, music, or a game of Pai Sho.
Isaac: And for the sake of curiosity, who were these people?
Iroh: Soldiers, warriors, friends and foes alike. Finally, my nephew.
Isaac: Say, if one were to give their life to ensure yours, despite you willing to do the same, what would you do? My master cast me away one night, and I then found out he passed away. He commended my skills that night.
Iroh: Ah... I can easily assume your master saw the good qualities in you and wanted you to live on. Was there anything else he commented?
Isaac: That my knowledge was more useful than his in the world to come.
Iroh: Then it is confirmed: His time shaping the world had passed, and he wished to ensure the livelihood of the next generation, which in this case is yours, young man.
Iroh: I will not ask about your skills, but rather, that you think of how you use your skills. Be they for good or ill intent, one must not forget the reason for these actions.
Iroh: People do the worst of crimes with good intentions. People may also do good deeds for their own personal gain.
Isaac: (One memory of Lisa's death, and the atrocities of the church later...) You've left me much to think about. I will go my way, I'm needed elsewhere.
Iroh: Then go, we've all places to be. I've seen my share of the world, and I will stay here. The world can offer more than pain, I invite you to see for yourself.
Sorry if it sucks.
@@rararasputin8608 Nah, man. This is better than most Hollywood dialogue.
@@rararasputin8608 Yeah, this is pretty good and if Tulok makes an Iroh build, the conversation could be possible.
And he did, my friend, he did. Isaac suddenly became my favorite character in that series.

I've wanted to play an Isaac like character for so long and I agonized over how to do it.
You're the best Tulok!
This and Wander were my most excited builds for this holiday seasons. ty Tulok!
I’m glad you showed footage from the Legion battle. That whole sequence gave me chills.
I love that you're putting some of the longer casting spells and strats on highlight here
So... This seems cool. I don't think I'd play this character but turning him into a BBEG for my next campaign sounds dope!
I’ve been waiting for this one since I’ve subscribed! Nice job, Tulok!
As someone who is madly and wildly in love with playing Necromancers for the very same reason you described this build, this made me all tingly and fuzzy on the inside. I love having a horde of monsters. Its my favorite thing in the world? Berry?
Been waiting all month for this and you totally delivered.

I did not think of the magic circle/planar binding/true polymorph combo! It’s really really cool. Amazing video!
This build is a great at summoning and controlling their summons, but I would probably add some Inquisitor rouge that gets bonuses to attacks from insight checks after getting 9th level spells

OMG I WAS SO EAGER TO WATCH THIS ONE
BBEG: *breaks into Isaac's room after he has been there for a year*
Also BBEG: Why do I hear boss music?
YEEEEES I've been waiting for this! Thank you!
3.0 had a variant rule in the book of vile darkness which allowed fiends to possess creatures and slowly transform them into thier image. The idea was because they took control of a material body, they couldn't be banished and loss the extraplaner subtype.
Since it didn't say they couldn't possess undead and necromancy was super broken in 3.5, I could see the older edition making a pretty decent build, at least on the army building side.
In the show it looks like they need corpses to summon the demons, which may feed into that possession aspect.
Excellent video! Isaac is my favorite character in Castlevania!
I have been waiting for this since I saw this build shown💗💗💗
So pumped for this one!
Wow this is the earliest I've been, and I love this BOI
Very cool build, one of my favorite characters but one hold up. Minor conjuration says if the object causes damage it disappears.
This is a badass build.
Oh, see my cousin once removed's husband is named Isaac so I thought this build would be for them :/ But that's not the build I need! We all know that's Anderson Cooper! You know my requests and your videos, we fit like two peas in a pod! So please make that build!
Ooh, subtle. I like it.
Veggietales build?
If I didn’t know what it was I’d guess the Peashooter from Plants vs. Zombies
And now I want to see that build
How do you keep going? I'm amazed.
I don't know man those hints seem like a stretch
Thank you... I've been homebrew this class
It isn't Vergil, but I still feel the love. Happy New Year Tulok!
Thanks for making a build for one of my favorite characters! Here's some food for the algorithm.
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!
Waited for this one or Hector for so long
I literally screamed so loud when I saw this 😭 I love
I've been waiting for this.
eyyy i was waiting for this build for so long
Fun fact. You can conjure a short sword not just a dagger. Arming sword and Side swords are just shy of three feet which is what Short sword is based on.
The video I didn't know I needed.
Can't wait for Isaac from the binding of isaac
Omg ive been dying to build Issac for at least a year. Ty
Wow this series is really badass, I should check it out!
This rocked!
I already love it
"Certain spells (including spells cast as rituals) require more time to cast: minutes or even hours. When you cast a spell with a casting time longer than a single action or reaction, you must spend your action each turn casting the spell, and you must maintain your concentration while you do so. If your concentration is broken, the spell fails, but you don't expend a spell slot. If you want to try casting the spell again, you must start over."
This build doesn't work. Attempting to cast planar binding will dismiss whatever you have summoned. Even if the spell has them stick around, the casting time of planar binding is long enough that they'll disappear a few seconds before you bind them.
Basically this video is built on a faulty premise and the build isn't functional.
From the Planar Binding spell description:
With this spell, you attempt to bind a Celestial, an elemental, a fey, or a fiend to your service. The creature must be within range for the entire casting of the spell. (Typically, the creature is first summoned into the center of an inverted Magic Circle in order to keep it trapped while this spell is cast.) At the completion of the casting, the target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, it is bound to serve you for the Duration. If the creature was summoned or created by another spell, that spell's Duration is extended to match the Duration of this spell.
Emphasis on the latter. Also both Planar Binding and Magic Circle don't interrupt Concentration, so you can lock the demon up in the Magic Circle, then bind his ass.
meta magic adept. extended spell
Great video!! When are we going to see a Sypha, Trevor, and Alucard vs Forge Masters game now?
TULOK I LOVE YOU THANKS
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!
Yessss! Can never get enough Castlevania love
For a second I thought this was Issac of the "Binding of" persuasion.
And I feel like it'd be a short video just you talking about the comment section
I thought Isaac from Golden Sun and boy was I wrong
Well, this Isaac does a lot of binding too
@@davisantos2187 lol
Binding of Isaac characters would also be funny.
I was just talking about this build a few days ago while rewatching castlevania
Aw man, I was excited cuz I thought you would make a necromancy wizard for the first time on the channel today but no. You know who would be a necromancy wizard? BUILD AINZ OOAL GOWN FROM OVERLORD, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think he did build a Necromancy Wizard when he made Iskander but I may be wrong.
@@marmato9332 no he did a Divine Soul Sorcerer
Ainz-sama is too difficult, he could make Neia tho
@ 4:54 - Minor note, The ability is called Benign Trans*posi*tion not Benign Trans*porta*tion, referring to your ability to swap places with a creature.
This was the build I was most looking forward to all month and it came out great! Thanks for all the hard work, Tulok!
Yooo can't believe you did Isaac! He's my fave char in Castlevania! 😁👌🏿
I dont play DnD (I don't play tabletops at all, actually), but this is a fascinating concept. I really like the concept of building an army that gets bigger and stronger as you go on.
Finally!! THANX!
I've been waiting for this one...
Well, this means Dracula and Godbrand builds are so much closer to us :) happy squeky noises.
Also, YAY ISAAC. I was waiting for this.
Let's not forget that in his first appearance in Castlevania Curse of Darkness, Isaac used a Trident as his primary weapon. Could always grab that with Tensor's too.
The cost issue could be offset even more easily by creating valuable gems and other components with your minor conjuration as long as you’ve seen them before.
I'd like to see your take on Kaim Argonar from Lost Odyssey. You've got a creative knack for subverting expectations when it comes to build, so it would be really interesting to see how you tackle the immortal swordsman.
I have requested this build a few times. YES!!!! SO EXCITED!!!!
Could you also make a build for Red X from DC comics / Teen Titans. Please and thank you!
Considering the similarities that Red X has to characters like Robin and theoretically is possibly Jason Todd/Red Hood minus all the guns I don't think he would do a Red X build just because he's already done a Robin and a Red Hood build.
Bravo on ISSAC that's long term planning and my new BBEG 👏 👏👏👏👏
So, a major issue with most (if not all) summoning builds is this:
Planar Binding takes 1 hour to cast. Spells that require 1 minute or greater to cast require you to maintain concentration for the duration of the casting time.
Infernal Calling and Summon Greater Demon and spells like them require concentration, or the summoned creature disappears within 1d6 rounds (Greater Demon) or 3d6 minutes (Infernal Calling), both of which are far less than 1 hour.
Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum MAY prevent them from disappearing (it prevents planar travel afterall) but that's kinda uncertain and up to GM discretion, in my opinion. Same with the Dimensional Shackles item.
Now, there MAY be a way to actually do this with the wizard, but it's not Conjuration wizard, it's Chronurgy.
Because, starting at level 10, you get "Arcane Abeyance" which allows you to store a spell of 4th level or lower into a bead for 1 hour, and any creature can "Cast" that spell by breaking the bead. Get a familiar, make the familiar drop the bead and have a demon (Greater Demon) for 1 hour using ITS concentration, have it drop it into the magic circle you cast at a higher level to give you a 2 hour duration, and then you can planar binding that demon after 1 hour, you just start your spell with your familiar using a ready action to "Cast" the spell when you are beginning Planar Binding.
And no, Focused Conjuration doesn't help it's "can't break concentration by taking damage" not allowing you to concentrate on 2 spells at once.
Alternatively, you make a Simulacrum to summon things for you, and then you bind them. It costs more and the simulacrum has to be re-made each time it runs out of useful spells (or true-polymorphed and thrown at something else) but hey, workable. Wish can also replicate spells of lower levels but as an ACTION, meaning you can instantly planar bind things (with no costly material components).
I love you, i love this.
FInally! I've been trying to create an Isaac type character for a while now.
That "better at insight checks than the other forgemaster" burn was brutal.
This is a build that i would really like to play. Now i just need a dm with some imagination and that is able to use the players backstories
As a DM: Summons are the worst, super hard to balance encounters around and they take forever to perform all their attacks.
So your last “One build a day December” build, New Years Eve, and build 250 all line up... smart
Damn! This is strong, would be dope in a solo game!
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
This is what I’ve been waiting for
god the new mons in S4 (especially Abel) they're so cool and they're on screen for 12 seconds before they're ripped to shreds. gotta love it.
I've wanted to play Isaac ever since the amazing fight scene in season 3. I'm guessing either Conjuration Wizard or Sheppard Druid.
A suprise for sure, but a welcome one!
Well I know what I'll be making for my next dnd game
I would die of happiness if this build was updated with all the books out now lol
True polymorph can permanently transform someone into something if you maintain concentration on it for the full 1 hour duration.
Hey Tulok, you should know that Tasha's introduced a boneheaded optional rule where characters get to move around their racial bonuses now. So now now you get to play a mountain dwarf arcana cleric with a +2 to intelligence and wisdom, thus defeating the purpose of getting to pick from different races in the first place. guess half your characters are going to be mountain dwarves now.
You had me at the intro, and kept me the whole way. Love your builds, Tulok.
All we need now is a Dracula Build and we can have a campaign where Tulok versions of Alucard, Sypha, and Trevor go against Dracula and Isaac with his army of summonings.
I’m hyped for season 4
oh it's THIS isaac
for some reason i thought this was gonna be golden sun isaac
