Rune Knight is overshadowing a lot of fighter archetypes. My fighter warlock was for a pirate, some kind of Blackbeard inspired character. For the moment, Battlemaster 6 Fathomless 5 allows him to fight effectively in water and on land while firing pistols (flavored eldritch blast) and giving off a frightening captain presence (maneuvers). Also, two-rapiers fighting at first level is hilarious (variant human).
I personally love the inclusion of the "alternate routes." I don't necessarily watch these videos with the intention of building these characters, I just like seeing what you can come up with when you start adding different classes and subclasses, and find it interesting with the specific characters builds. So the alternates are a great bonus.

How......how out of the question is a Jonesy build for D&D? I'm not really in the camp that thinks Fortnite is cringey and I'd love to see a ranged combatant with some kind of building/structure mechanic.
I friend of mine played Lady Dimitrescu once using a Rune knight build when the DM asked "How do you wanna do this?" He used Giant's Might and Sat on the enemies face killing it instantly... I mean not a bad way to die...

I'm such a sucker for any "take a hit and keep walking forward" build, so this is great to add to the collection. I especially appreciate when you point out good options that are efficient and powerful but out of character - I'm more about building concepts than exact characters, so I love using your builds as a recipe that I can spice up myself in my home games. The suggestion of doing Beast Barbarian instead sounds like a lot of fun, but a lot of the warlock spells you suggested also sounded raw, so I'm excited to play both versions!
Theres actually a lot of plot. Theres an A plot, B plot, C plot, the D plot is pretty big even. You might even call it a double D plot, and honestly? Thats probably still not doing it justice

I WISH Armor of Hexes didn't use your reaction. But Hexblade is already pretty busted as is so they gotta minimize how good it is somehow: "At 10th level, your hex grows more powerful. If the target cursed by your Hexblade's Curse hits you with an attack roll, you can *use your reaction* to roll a d6. On a 4 or higher, the attack instead misses you, regardless of its roll." Straight out of Xanathar's. Not to burst your bubble or anything. Just making sure no false info is being presented, even on a character build.
This is awesome. It also wouldn't be a terrible build for Castlevania's Dracula. Towering boss battle stature? Check. Shrugs off blows and deals terrifying melee damage? Check. Maximum Vampire suckage? Check. Summon undead minions? Check. Boss form transformation? Check. Just focus on Misty Step, add a few more hellfire-type spells, and switch out fey summoning for fiend summoning.
I can see why you're saying manticore but it's actually intended to be a dragon as a play off of Dracula. I know the response is "but no breath weapon." She does have a breath weapon, it's a bunch of bugs. So, you can easily reflavor a dragon's breath as the bugs stinging and poisoning you.
Episode 289 of the Fire Emblem stats: Alcina Dimitrescu. She's great at brawling (her claws are basically gauntlets), authority, and has a budding talent in flight since, well, her boss form is literally a wyvern rider. She's weak in swords, both types of magic, and heavy armor, which her other family members are more well-equipped for. She has huge... HP and physical defense, but her resistance is a bit weak and she is slow as molasses.

I can't tell if they fixed this after the video went up but now I'm sad because it says you only heal/get the attack bonus equal the piercing damage dealt by the bite. Still looks funny as all hell.
A few issues and alternates, the Dhampir Bite explicitly states "You regain hit points equal to the piercing damage dealt by the bite." so some of your damage increases _don't increase your healing_ as they don't deal piercing damage. Giant's Might WILL increase the healing as it increases the damage of weapon attacks by 1d6 and Hexblade's Curse works too as it just increases damage which would make both of these piercing. You can use Hunter's Mark instead of Hex with Fey Touched to avoid needing multiple Ranger levels as that actually does Piercing damage. As long as your using a Whip you may as well simply Hex Weapon your teeth as they count as a simple melee weapon. Only issue with that is your bite will never be magical and the ability does technically state you can use your Charisma modifier instead of Strength or Dexterity and your teeth use Constitution. If your just biting people however you can get away with using one of the other Pacts like Chain for another minion with Investment of the Chain Master to make the DC on Quasit's Scare actually good or Talisman to punish attackers with your reaction from Rebuke of the Talisman to make up for losing out on Thirsting Blade. You can also change out to another pact on ASI levels thanks to Eldritch Versatility when magic damage becomes more necessary. Frost Rune is sort of weak unless your explicitly going for the +2 to Constitution checks/saves and want the advantage on Charisma(Intimidation) checks. Your strength is bad enough your just going to fail with it. Cloud Rune would help you avoid getting wrecked with your poor AC as you can send damage rolls to other creatures. Later levels can see single hits as beefy as 70 damage and the ability to _just not take that damage_ makes her even more of a tank then she already is. To get those creepy crawlies Cloak of Flies gives you a damaging aura and as a melee combatant that should be useful. There's no save but its Poison damage, the most common immunity in the game. Obviously a bad idea in Curse of Strahd and the second half of Balder's Gate but you can change invocations on a level up at least.
Don't mean to be negative here, but I don't believe the Giant's Might would add healing to the bite RAW. The damage has to come from the bite and RAW giant's might states: "one of your attacks with a weapon or an unarmed strike can deal an extra 1d6 damage to a target on a hit" it's extra damage coming from the feature as opposed to coming from the bite, for this to work it has to add to the roll/damage of the bite like hexblade's curse does. "You regain hit points equal to the piercing damage dealt (IMPORTANT PART NEXT) by the bite."

here's my build of her, heavily inspired by yours Level 14 Hexblade Warlock / Level 6 Rune Knight Fighter it follows all of the build for the warlock, and it also has an extra attack on top of the thirsting blade, for 3 attacks per round with the weapon. As well as an extra ability score bonus/feat, for whatever you want to do. you could go with eldritch adept to get an extra invocation, tough to become even harder to kill, Warcaster to more easily use your spells in combat (and free up eldritch mind for something else), or even say "screw it, lady d gonna be wearing armor" and get heavy armor master to become even harder to kill. It's all up to you! One other really funny thing, you could hire a servant to come with your party as a blood pack for your vampiric bite. pay them 3 silver a day to come around and be spare blood for those pesky skill or ability checks, and then have the cleric heal them up. Totally in character for lady D
I'm kinda upset that we didn't get the cloak of flies invocation since it's like my favourite one .And this would be like the only character that could actually take it since you were giving her stuff her daughter's did. Good video tulok ,excited to see more dhampirs.😁

The damage has to come from the bite and RAW giant's might states: "one of your attacks with a weapon or an unarmed strike can deal an extra 1d6 damage to a target on a hit" it's extra damage coming from the feature as opposed to coming from the bite, for this to work it has to add to the roll/damage of the bite like hexblade's curse does. "You regain hit points equal to the piercing damage dealt (IMPORTANT PART NEXT) by the bite."

here's my build of her, heavily inspired by yours
Level 14 Hexblade Warlock / Level 6 Rune Knight Fighter
it follows all of the build for the warlock, and it also has an extra attack on top of the thirsting blade, for 3 attacks per round with the weapon. As well as an extra ability score bonus/feat, for whatever you want to do. you could go with eldritch adept to get an extra invocation, tough to become even harder to kill, Warcaster to more easily use your spells in combat (and free up eldritch mind for something else), or even say "screw it, lady d gonna be wearing armor" and get heavy armor master to become even harder to kill. It's all up to you!
One other really funny thing, you could hire a servant to come with your party as a blood pack for your vampiric bite. pay them 3 silver a day to come around and be spare blood for those pesky skill or ability checks, and then have the cleric heal them up. Totally in character for lady D
