I wonder if Sypha's back hurts from carrying the team
FOR REAL LOL
she's op, she doesn't even seem to tire from using much magic
@@babyyouremyforevergirl8998 it's the avatar himself!
💯😩🤣🤣🥰
@@babyyouremyforevergirl8998 if I’m not mistaken the way magic works in Castlevania is similar to alchemy in FMA, she doesn’t generate elements more like she manipulates them, don’t get me wrong she’s clearly shooting flames from her hands but the manipulation theory could be why she never tires because she’s using elements that are already prevalent. For instance, water is almost everywhere so instead of using magic to create water, she uses magic to manipulate water that’s already there, thusly saving her strength for when she really needs it. She’s not just a deadly mage but an extremely smart fighter.
I love especially that Sypha never has one of those moments of "Oh I forgot I could do magic!" just for the sake of being vulnerable. She always uses it in battle and uses it very effectively. Love it so much.
period
5:12 is pretty much the state of Sypha.
Why would she act like she forgot? That makes no sense.
This character only exists here so they could pretend wahmen much strong anyway lol. So they only ever show her being OP.
@@user-iu1ru1qz7u Brought out the incel.
@@redkingrauri3769 clearly, the only way anyone could disagree with you is if he was something like an incel lol.
If an incel showed up, and made a true statement, it would not be less true because he was an incel. And you'd still be a butthurt child without an argument.
She is basically the Avatar, but a lot more gruesome.
She makes Azula look like an Angel
TBH if Avatar is not child friendly. It would be more gruesome.
@@MultiFandom8isFate true
Yeah but imagine have the earthbendig man
Nope not really, she has never bended earth. Only water, fire, ice and lightning.
I love that Sypha isn't just powerful because she does a lot of damage, she's powerful because she's incredibly creative in using her pretty simple magic (technically she only controls 3 elements till the end of season 3 when she gets 1 more). She is the standard magic fighting should live up to, show that the wizard is intelligent not just through regular nerd shit but also showing that they think and fight smart.
I thought she could only do fire ice and lightning
@@cleverfoxface6512 There’s a little air with the gusts of wind she uses to cushion landings, but she doesn’t use it much, and I thought it looked like cold air anyway so I could easily file it under ice as well.
@@dascientist8443 not to mention lightning is an extention of fire since they are both types of energy just used differently (take the avatar series for an example in order for a fire bender to use lightning they must first need to understand how energy flows around them...)
@@kidanhone6048 ok then
5:39 I'm confused, please explain
Sypha uses magic in a way that is so rare: there’s no extra style or flare. She uses it resourcefully and with humbleness, but with an instant deathly quality. She doesn’t play with her opponent. Every spell is to end the conflict with versatility.
Yeah, about that.... 6:18
Never plays with her Hunting material
she is a very well written strong female character. She broke the stereotype of female mage characters would be just about healing or minor supportive roles who require constant protection from the male lead. Instead of being in the background, i think the two male leads had actually relied on her a lot in combats, especially trevor. Her fighting style were graceful yet efficient and very tactical. As well you can see character development and she got better in fights throughout the series. The most important point why i liked her so much was despite all her merits, unlike many other medias, she was not written like STRONG FEMALE right in- your- face as if you dont get what they are doing. She was simply confident in herself and was not forcing herself to proof anything. She worked very naturally as a team with the fellow characters while managing to show the audience her strong aspects. So yea, she was one of the main reasons why i was so hooked to this series.
nope they should stop changing things, women should always be a support
@@rise7056 troll.
Well, if you look at Aerith in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you'll see she's just like Sypha, even more powerful since she's actually able to go toe to toe with Sephiroth or Weiss, not to mention minor enemies. She's both support and damager (especially with right materia).
@Rise you sound stupid
it's neat how her magic gets progressively stronger as she fights more and more.
I know some people might think she's doing ridiculous stuff by s4, but it's also pretty apparent she and trevor have been fighting a crap ton of night creatures and vampires after s2, so it does make sense.
I also love how it's mainly her own skill that improved and not just her magic power. In s1 she mainly used big elemental walls and a few attacks. By season two she can 1v1 a vampire general in melee and in s3 she doesn't even have to use magic to block, she just dodges
When leveling up goes right!
"I serve no demon and I do no evil!" Her voice is so adorable...
I love that line the most because a lot of people during that time period believed Magic itself was a root of evil. However, it is a tool, regardless of the fact it is a sentient thing or not. Sypha uses magic to protect her people, Trevor and Alucard as much as herself. It is a kind of knowledge that is similar to certain sciences, and being a scholar, Sypha would know a lot about magic and how it works. She is very creative with it and her surroundings, using everything she learns to her team's advantage!
Sypha is how I imagine a trained magic warrior would fight. Technical movement, looking for openings/weakness, and finishing them... by neutralizing, or killing with nasty intent.
In my humble opinion, she's the biggest badass of the show.
I love how strong they made their female character. Even though she likes Trevor her whole identity and thoughts dont revolve around him like female anime characters. And she was on their level if not stronger than them. Shonen anime needs to take notes this is how you write a badass female character. And she is pretty without being overly sexualised
That's actually the reason why I got bored with anime, they make most female characters (protag/side characters) annoying 🙄
@@dCephei in her first fight scene where she blocked a monsters fire breath and she didn't faint from the effort I knew I was gonna like her
@@dCephei same here. It's annoying after a while.
@@ShingenNolaan Right? It becomes annoying when almost all the characters that represent you are tiddies, busts, & weak af emotionally or physical like wtf?
@@dCephei And/or are annoying in the worst stereotypical way (I'm looking at you, Sakura).
She can immediately turn her defense into an offense and vice versa. Fantastic flexibility in combat
The way I see them is something like this:
Sypha is the glass cannon/firepower support, she can one-shot people and can support the other two with magic if necessary, I say "glass" but she has proved to be able to take a beating so she can reliably stay on the front too and deal with threats one on one;
Trevor is the disruptor rogue/trickster fighter, his whole shtick is that he has the right weapon for the job but he himself doesn't have powers, but because of that he thinks outside the box and uses strategy to confuse opponents and strike where it hurts, he can be in any position and cause mayhem;
Alucard is the heavy tank/resourceful initiator, he is the only one I think that will always be in the front, he can take a beating and has an array of abilities that he can use to enter balls deep on the enemies front lines and after he does his thing both Sypha and Trevor can cause maximum destruction.
My point is that alone every one of them is elite combatants that can more than hold their own, but as we see during the series when they are together the only opponents that could hold them alone and push them was Dracula, but those vampire sorcerers did get close to win, but Trevor did what he does best and allowed Sypha and Alucard room to kick ass.
💯🥰
Sounds about right:)
Nope all them is heros unit they strong all side :| . This make realy because no one want a weak poit so they allway learn some thing to pefect them sef.but if in game, cut off cool stuff in fight all you see will be some op dude kill all mob with 1 shot (she ice pike trust 1 shot some vam knight man and she cast muti it ) . And you will say "" fck this game fck pay to win " :v
@@darkfox6604not really. They specialized in certain combat that isn't always effective. For example, when they fought dracula, only Alucard is able to go toe to toe against dracula because of his vampiric abilities. When they fought the elite vampires, they literally had to switch opponents because Alucard isn't doing well against the vampire. Mage so he switched with Sypha who's expert in magic combat. During the defense of the town in season one, Trevor has no problem fighting humans but he needed Sypha's help to fight airborne demons and other demons in general since his weapons aren't meant for demonic combat, however he's still able to use resources to his side. If it's only Trevor in thag battle, he would have lost. If it's only Sypha then the town would have been overrun without Trevor's leadership.
I love the way she uses her magic. It reminds me the benders from Avatars. It's not all big massive explosions and power beams. She is very active during the fights and uses the elements in various ways.
If only she could do earth magic too, she’d be the avatar.
Yeah
she makes up for it by dropping castles around thru a mirror LOL. she probably killed a bunch of ppl dropping that castle around
What about the other elements? Like Wind and water.
@@Panda-24 dude ice is like water the difference is that don't need a source or something
@@Panda-24 She uses wind at least once when she catches Trevor at 5:45
Sypha was one of the main reasons I watched this masterpiece of a show (alongside the visuals, fighting choreography, and plot).
I definitely miss Castlevania so much and I’m glad we’re getting a sequel. 😩🙌🏽
When did you find out we’re having a sequel, & same, sypha is the main reason why I kept watching the show (not in a bad way)
WHAT SEQUAL
@@Yourmom-oo1zr New castlevania announced with Richter, a very short trailer dropped recently.
I'm so excited to see how they're going to handle Maria
Hopefully we get some type of flashback to the Castlevania 1 era
I love how her fighting style shifts and evolves the more she hangs out with the guys, becoming a more upfront fighter rather than the typical "in the back caster"
I love how we can actually see her powers and fighting style evolve throughout the series. When we’re first introduced to her, her magic & fighting style are very basic, run-of-the-mill combat mage stuff, but as she uses her powers more, she becomes more creative and inventive in using them, like learning to use the powers of fire-breathing creatures against them, or using ice in several different ways when fighting Dracula’s generals. I also like that moving Dracula’s castle didn’t somehow make her some omnipotent hyper-battlemage, as would’ve probably happened in many other animes. Sypha and her powers really are a great portrayal of a mage and how complex magic systems should be/work.
and much like in the original game she appeared in, she's OP as hell. The only magic users in the show who come close to her level are Dracula and maybe Issac.
@@g0lddustt29z
When I started watching the show and she said she would incinerate Alucard. I was like "pshh I doubt she could beat him" . After watching the show I realized that wasn't an empty threat. It was a promise
One of the few shows where its hard to choose a favorite character of the main cast because they're all so good.
Sypha Belnades, best long range and melee mage out there
Sypha is so damn badass. 7:40 is literally an RPG armor buff.
its actually more clever than it seems. You'd think making 4 ice walls would provide better defense but the gaps in those ice barriers is actually to tempt ppl into attacking whoever is inside, only to for the ice barriers to cut their arms off. Subtle but deadly
@@Izaya_Orihara unless you lose focus on the person you're protecting
this should be the best depiction of a mage or a battlemage. All we get is some weak magicians, in games or movies. I love how fluid her spell work is and make full use of the elements potential. I haven't watched this, now I'm gonna. I'm impressed.
Sypha is the definition of "How to make a badass female character without making it obnoxious"
Edit: I wasn't trying to start an argument in this comment's replies, but I guess it was bound to happen...
Amen.
With bonus points for also not making her a Lesbian and letting her develop a natural love interest in Trevor instead of making her fall in love with a random nobody she just randomly meets or Alucard who she did not hang around as often with.
@@funkmantim2661 That too
Arcee
@@funkmantim2661 you know some girls can be lesbians without needing a reason and it is natural, right? Please dont ruin the fandom with your lgbtphobia
I love how they made her such a capable character without making it cringe. She’s not a damsel or a Mary Sue, she’s just a badass that can throw hands
I love when she incinerates that vampire general after Trevor pulls him out of the air in the castle fight scene 🤫🔥 One of my favourite kills in the whole series.
Yup. So cold and pro move.
Thank you for the video! Sypha is the best and her elemental magic is cool af
She's never seems tired after using such amount of spells....I would say she's one of the strongest characters comparing to many anime characters if we logically think about her endless mana
Sypha is such a great character. She’s strong, can hold her own without being helped, and the best part is that she accomplishes all of this without simply taking traditionally masculine traits (like being brutal and physically huge). She’s such a well written character and I can never say enough good things.
probably the best depiction of magic I've ever seen.
I think the most cool thing about Sypha is she isn't afraid of melee as a wizard. Super strong
I have never seen this show but this is so coooool. Why am I just seeing this now?
The show in Netflix Castlevania anime adaptation
The show's over now. And now they're planning on making another series on Richter Belmont.
It’s essentially a show about the video game: “Castlevania; Symphony of the Night.”
@@marvelboy9260 wait seriously? 😲
💯🥰
thanks to the powers and fights of Sypha it was one of the videos that I most expected
Omg I’ve been waiting for this one she is so cold 🥶
Holy shit she is OP. This is why I chose her path in the NES game.
she is when she moved(tried to move the castle she strined and after do it she wasn't tired at all she should have passed out after moving the castle
I've been waiting for a Sypha video! Best magic user hands down! 🔥❄⚡😍
She looks very powerful. Her killing was very good I like how the monster was killed in a tragic way. Ahhaba
QUEEN 👑
I love that she uses magic but still knows how to fight
I love how she doesn't crumble under close combat sword / fighting opponents like so many mage characters. She is easily able to handle her own hand-to-hand without a physician weapon, just her own ability.
She’s better than all speaker magicians in present (nocturne)
100% amazing character, one of the great strengths of this show was it's characters. And that is a GREAT strength to have.
SYPHAAAA :) Thanks for this bud... Hey, is it Ok if you do Raven from the TEEN TITANS ANIMATION?? thanks.. More power to your channel.
The OG 2003 Titans Animation?
@@MrAnybody04 YESSS PLEASE BUD !!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
@@MrAnybody04 thanks for bring it on,i can't wait to see the next part
That whip attack by Trevor at the end was an absolute banger!
I won't be surprised if she was a prodigy when she was little. And has anyone else see her use a lot of ice 🧊 and fire 🔥 magic?? I bet 2 of the most powerful magic ever
I gotta admit Trevor picked fine woman that’s for sure
I like how unique her magic and fighting style is.
Sypha was so incredibly talented and she had such an interesting character arc too. Perfect female lead
When you have a support... that is apparently the main damager also :V
I love as the seasons go on she gets better and more creative in the use of her magic.
This is how you made a female character badass.
1:45 capturing the flame inside the creature and causing it to explode internally is just a whole new level of metal I wasn't ready for holy shit
finally a magician who actually killed her opponents instead of knocking them back with beams or sumn
If she controls Earth if ever there's a next season... then she's practically the Avatar
i’ve been putting off watching castlevania, but this vid basically compelled me to finally start lol
Sypha is the sword,Alucard is the heart and Trevor is the brain.
I love how magic just causes so much wind😂
Sypha is the only Castlevania character who will make Alucard with a Crissaegrim worry.
This is magic-user character done right 👌
Best depiction of a mage in anime.
Dracula every time Sypha starts at him: "Can." dodge "You" dodge "NOT"
Sypha's magic is some of my favorite animation of all time. I love how smooth and powerful it looks
4:39 kill was what cemented my love for Sypha and the series
I love how sometimes she still sounds like Flora
Wow! She is so bad-ass! I've never seen Castlevania before. I think I need to watch this
Man the amount of training she has done to get there must have been brutal
She is the definition of amazing!
She's so creative with her powers
easily my favorite character of the show. strong character, beautiful designe and who wouldn't dream to bend the elements to its will?
This is the most capable mage i have seen EVER, powerful!!
I love how she basically has it all together and not really need much help
the animators love sypha just as much as i do and i couldn’t be happier abt it
The most agile and durable spell caster ever
I haven’t watched this show or whatever but from the looks of this she’s carrying ngl
That is so cooollllll she’s so badasss
Wow... A mage and bender in one! 👏👏👏
Trevor always has that "That's my wife" look everytime she kicks ass and I love it
The only reason I stick watching this was because of her 😍
Sypha vs Korra would be a terrifying match.
I never realized she can use wind magic because she always use fire and ice only...
And thats how you write a good king humble strong woman character just like hermoney granger bad ass women doesnt need to be empty
Just ordered the first season, have a lot of catching up to do!
Sypha is an absolute Unit
Finally the Wait is over
i never watched this but shes definetly my favourite character
1:49 gawdly animation
I loved sypha..... 😊😊
I like how at one point after killing Dracula she just starts enjoying killing the night monster’s like well now I’m going to kill you 😂
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Such great art
Cant remember if i ever saw a magician character with more badass fights in any game or movie
one of the best written characters ever.
The element bender we all deserve
- Probably the most badass FM character there is in anime right now. She is so Bae!
What a awesome mage's. She is the best.
Sypha Is my favorite female character, my huskies accidentally mated and I’m planning to name one after her.
What a fuckin' Power Couple if there's ever been one. Can't wait to see their kid in the next series.
This is a real mage in my eyes and this is how magic should be cast. People say it's weird but I could never get into harry potter because i absolutely hated the wands and the way they cast spells. This has always been more my speed.
Beautiful and badass Queen!
I’m sad they’re not making another season :(
Shes my favorite character I hope they make more seasons on Netflix
