She truly was an icon
One of the best representations of a video game boss fight translated to television. Felt straight out of bloodborne with the multiple phases and new moves she adds as her health gets depleted following up with a final AOE blast when you fully kill her. Plus the boss arena that fills with blood as she takes out your summons… perfect
The thing about her fighting is the speed, so fucking quick

And the bloodshot eyes. Same as Kate from Gen V. Same colours. Omni-Man had bloodshot eyes but they looked different.
Isaac wasn't faster than her, but he had demons that were just as fast. Really interesting fight.
Her final fight scene was so well done. You can really feel the struggle while she was fighting to stay alive. It's my favorite scene in the entire series.
Whoever who animate this, I respect you 🫡
She was such a badass villain. I was actually rooting for her to win during her final battle.

We i first eatched this fight i didn't appreciate it as much , but now that i am re-watching i notice how incredible it was

I love Carmilla, despite isaac beating the shit out of her it was only because of the exhaustion he put her through. And he outnumbered her making her drop lots of stamina but despite that she was still able to hold on her own, if she wasn't so impulsive and still had a tank full of energy she could've beat isaac. Strategically speaking isaac did great he knew he couldn't beat her one on one so he made armies before charging right through her base, this was shown when he was in the desert, his only plan then was to charge to styria and get revenge at Carmilla but knew that it would be better and easier for him to make an army first.
I think even at full power issac would of beaten her eventually
i mean... isaac didn't really beat her. isaac and his army of 200+ night creatures did. It was pretty clear that without his night creatures (especially the black and white one that protected him multiple times), he would have died pretty instantly in a PURE 1v1 versus Carmilla.

He barely won even with a full army of night creatures and with Abel constantly flying around him and shielding him from Carmilla's hits. He eventually won and a win is a win, but let's not pretend he could've taken her down otherwise.

she would have lost. Abel was on the field, and he was just tanking potentially lethal hits for Isaac instead of fighting. Probably wanted to kill Camilla himself. Isaac planned this far too well honestly.

I don't understand arguments like this. Weaker characters (humans) must find ways to compensate for their weaknesses to go up against stronger characters. In Isaacs's case, planning and using his demons is how he compensates. The plan was to wear her down; you basically just said if Isaac had gone in without a plan, he would have lost…no shit.

I do think its interesting how Carmilla, despite all her talk of sisterhood… dies alone. And she died to a man whose primary fighting style revolves around teamwork.
Had she been with her sisters she would likely have survived Isaac.
She had become no different from those tired old men. That's why she failed. A big part of the youth she wanted to cling to is to keep a mind open to listen and take help.
I'm sorry but the shots of Carmilla's face was so cold in her last fight.
I miss the 4 sister so much, they were the whole reason why I watched castlevania, wish they were in the newer 2nd version

Honestly, the two survivors could still turn up like Alucard did. I don't think it's likely, but they're possible.
Carmilla was the only interesting one tbh. The rest were self admitted afterthoughts because they wanted a female team up. Carmilla was actually a person rather than a figurant.

Hot take- Carmilla would've beaten Isaac if she literally wasn't forced up against literally hundreds of night creatures. Isaac massively handicapped her. And yet she fought on, in HEELS. Truly the queen she knew she was.
In my opinion that's like saying that Isaac would've won if Carmilla never had her vampire powers. They fought fair and square. The night creatures come from Isaac just like Carmila's speed and strength come from herself. There was no disadvantage. Isaac won because he has a strategy and his powers are cool too.
Not saying Carmilla is weak, she's anything but that and she's one of the reasons I finish the show, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't acknowledge the fact that she did lose the fight.

And Isaac without his might creatures is still strong but not vampire killer strong. He literally would've died too from Carmillas kamikaze move if his night creatures didn't sacrifice itself. He kinda cheated her out of a draw when she rightfully would've won without saving a bajillion monsters first.

The most impressive thing is that unlike Dracula who used tricks and stole his power Carmilla earned it all on her own and considering her rather young age she is ridiculously powerful . If she was more mentally stable and spent more time training I can’t even imagine what potential she could have reached

@@MnJiman in the games at least once upon a time there was a powerful Vampire lord named Walter (who was basically Dracula, before Dracula, though he leaned more into the “evil undead asshole king” archetype then anything scholarly). To make a long story short, through a series of events shown the game “Lament of Innocence”, Walter was killed by Leon Belmont (aka the first Belmont Hunter, and the Blond man you see in the painting in the Belmont hold). The moment Walter died, Dracula, who at the time still went by his human name of Mathias Cronqvist, swooped in and used an alchemical object called the Crimson Stone to grab Walter’s soul and used it to immediately elevate himself to being one of, if not the most powerful Vampire to currently exist, this is also apparently why Death likes him so much.
He also offered Leon vampirism then and there, since he was actually good friends with Leon, they had fought together in the crusades (this was in 11th century France btw). Thing was, Matthias was the one who engineered the whole situation they were currently in, all so Leon would kill Walter and free his soul for use. Said situation involved Leon having to kill his own Fiancé Sara mind you (which, “fun” fact, is where the Vampire Killer Whip comes from), so Leon swore he and his kin would hunt the night forevermore. So yeah, that’s why the Belmont family has such a specific hatred for Dracula, and why they became Monster hunters in the first place.
Admittedly, that’s in the games, and while there’s a lot of stuff in the show that references the games, there are things that don’t seem to match up. So this might not be the case in the show’s canon.

Carmilla is only strong because they decided they needed strong wahmen to take center stage in a franchise that's literally about Dracula and his eternal battle with the Belmonts.

She did lick some of their blood though. But maybe that was just to make a statement.
I figure maybe it just doesn't taste that good and she didn't piece together she needed to up on blood until Isaac showed up, since otherwise she was doing fine against the night creatures even when fatigued

The fact is she should’ve won. There’s no way an experienced, old vampire like Carmilla should’ve lost even after fighting all those night creatures. She would’ve at least landed one lethal hit on Isaac during this scuffle, he’s a regular human being. Major plot armor here for Isaac to the point that it ruined his character for me. This wasn’t strategy, it was a scene made to make you think it was strategic when realistically with all the context of the show, he would’ve lost, QUICKLY.
He had plot armor from the getgo. He killed Godbrand and resisted that mind controlling guy's magic. It makes no sense. He's powerful cause he's black

I must confess, there's a little bit of bias in the last fight with Isaac. Her powers and skilled were made limited. Imagine, Isaac didn't even sustain a single cut from her sword.
