    And I must say, in the year and a half since this video, you have improved your presentation, and this is the most appreciated part from me, you have slowed down your commentary. I discovered you via newer videos and when watching the older ones, you are just going a mile a minute! Great job maturing into the creator you are today and even at your fast clip, the older tutorials are VERY useful and complete. Thank you so much for doing these!

    I use a "Vicon Fastbale" from the "kverneland & Vicon equipement pack" DLC. That thing is a beast. 150hp requirement. It can wrap 1 bale and hold on to it while making another bale, and collect like 80% of the 3rd without stopping, you could also drop the bales as you go. The pack also has a mower set that basically windrows and mows in one go without mods. You need a strong 270-300hp medium tractor for it or a basic large tractor that still has a front pto. (The medium case ih 270hp and the 300hp john deere are good options because the can also take a front loader with bale forks) There is an auto collect trailer that takes 24 baled at once in the same pack aswell, you can dump all 24 at the selling point at once. Its a very simple and fast way to use bales👍👍 another possibility is to use a front mower and the fast baler behind the same tractor, this way you dont need a 300hp one. It might even be quicker than using chaff in a silo🤔 no need for compacting. No need to wait to turn grass into silage cause it auto converts them to silage bales right away.

      It takes a lot longer though and it’s really boring, I’m currently doing that now with a few fields, yeah I get 30k for 21 square bales of silage at the barn. But my god does it take ages to do. I use the Big M 450 with swatch drop on, square baler (so I don’t have to keep stopping), bale wrapper (takes a while to wrap almost 100 bales though) and then an auto load trailer for fast loading (cheating, I know). But that only holds 21 bales. It pays well, but takes quite a long time to do.
      I’m going to have a go at silage in a bunker to see if it’s any easier/faster and compare the price I get for it to the baling process.

  • @ConflictZv
    @ConflictZv 2 года назад +1

    I just started a Farm Manager game with a main focus on BGA silage and after trying both silos and baling I will say that I HIGHLY prefer to work with bales. The silos are glitchy and the conveyors are absolutely infuriating to deal with. The Krone Big M450 mower can pull a Vicon Fastbale and on swath dropping will feed almost directly to the baler. You can mow, bale and wrap huge fields in one go without stopping then just come back and pick up the bales with a trailer. It's a bit awkward in the turns but it's incredibly efficient. There's no waiting to ferment just unload your trailer at the digester and even if the bales exceed the max capacity of 50k it will slowly consume the additional bales on the unload point while you go do other things. With enough land to mow you can easily have the digester working around the clock while still having extra bales to drop off at the barn for an instant payout.

    Wish the high end Krone Harvester would have a trailer that fills up and unloads with a screw (like the pipe). The Krone Cargo (which I believe is a cheaty mod), it stores a bunch and then you can simply pull up with a trailer and it dumps into your truck. No need to swap trailers (which I realize is what real life does, but in game its not as much fun). Also, I would love to see a series of silos along the edge of the field and have the harvester auto unload as it reaches them..would be awesome..

    Hey Farmer Cop, love your videos.
    Just wondering if you can help me with a problem. I’m trying to make silage on Alpine Farming. I fill the loading wagon with grass, drive it into the bunker silo, but I don’t see any option to unload. Do you know how I unload? I’m playing on the PS4, don’t know if you have experience with it, but any help you could give, I’d really appreciate!

    • @FarmerCop
      @FarmerCop  3 года назад +1

      There wont be an option to unload in the bunker silo, on PC you use the "Unload Here" option which is CTRL and I, console does have the same option, just open the help menu up and it should tall you what the control is to unload here

      @@FarmerCop thanks a lot farmer cop, yes, I worked it out with your help, on PS4 you need to press the R1 and L1 buttons at the same time, then I get the unload here option. Thanks for your help and I look forward to more of your videos. Merry Christmas.

    One thing: the "Milling Machine" Mod is awesome, too awesome in fact for a lot of people. It's basically a cheat to be honest. Dirt Cheap, picks up everything in a much larger radius than is realistic, does not have a max speed and does not have a max pickup capacity. Decide for yourself. I love mods that add convenience, but that convenience should come at a cost. Money at least.

    Leasing the items is a cheaper option based on time of use. Lease, harvest, and then return item once completed to keep your payment down. Do not keep the equipment once you finish as it will take money from you daily (24 hour period).

    • @Salomon_Andrade
      @Salomon_Andrade 2 года назад +1

      Re-leasing items you plan to you again is far more expensive than simply keeping it and paying the daily lease fee, because when you first lease an item you have to pay the initial lease fee which is FAR more expensive than the daily lease fee
