Amazing how people are breaking these things already! Just thought I'd mention that you'd have a much easier time solderong these ports with the hot drop method. I generally just heat up from underneath, let the port fall out naturally, retin, and heat from underneath again to drop the new port back on. It means you don't have to worry about soldering the individual pins and the ground holes are already filled, so the solder makes a strong contact with the ground anchors, too. That's my preferred method, though. Everyone has a different way of doing things. I guess there are no wrong ways if it works for you 😊

I had one of those just a week ago. Weird connector in pairs of three pins where halve of the pins are too far inward and missing the pads on the mainboard for a great deal. Some weren't even touching the pads.
No clue what the reason for all that is, but I put back a normal connector with all pins in a row. Works like a charm.
Gonna watch your video further now to see if you talk about this odd connector.

I was surprised that you had to spread the liquid metal out like that. I would have thought that it would spread out like Arctic Silver did although I did read somewhere that you should leave the CPU running for 72 hours to allow the Arctic Silver time to eek into all the nooks and crannies between the top of the CPU and the bottom of the heatsink.
*Thanks* for the video Paul. 👍👍

How do you like the LTT screwdriver? ? is there much less backforce that they brag about?
I'm tempted to order one. but shipping here is quite idiotic.
I don't repair so much anymore either after I found the design engineer profession, as the Car Mechanic profession was boring, (not allowed to fix things, just change parts the PC says is wrong. (time vs part cost))

I have had a few ratcheting screwdrivers in the past. All from "Auto parts store Christmas gift" style tool kits. I guess that's why my opinion of them has been "they are junk". I still don't think it's an essential tool to have around. But as far as multi bit screwdriver handles go, this thing is top notch. The backforce is very light like they go on about. My favorite part is the knurling on the shaft, it's so precise. The whole fit and finish is top quality. I find it to be the perfect companion to my ifixit Manta driver kit. The ifixit handle has good weight and feel but no length in the shank.
Side note: I am not paid by LTT or ifixit
