The First Lady in the video was like the best client ever! She was very cooperative to the process and she seems to take care of herself! Energy was very positive! I love working with clients like her!
Its like a sermon on Sunday morning, this whole video was talking directly to me. I have my own "Damian" in Indianapolis. He started my locs, he started my daughter's locs at 8yrs old. I even "cheated" but I came home! LOL My "Damian" is sick and has given up his shop, but he loves us so much, he does our hair in his home. Every city needs a Damian! LOL
I keep telling folks, find a stylist that not "Only" knows how to style hair but "Knows" about hair care! BTW DAYUMMMMMMMM YOU ARE A GOOD LOOKING MAN! 😉😉😉
Damian I enjoy watching your videos. I would like to know can you put a pic of the finished product of the clients hair at the end of the videos? I would love to see what they look like at the end.
Makada A it would be a great way to close out his videos. I don't use my IG much. As well as would not know how to search for the person he just did on the video.
I am just as bald as they come but I love watching you work... I think you are just as much an educator as you are a stylist... I think you are equally great at both!!
Hi everyone. Ive read all of your comments and i thank you all for your feedback. I waa the last client and I have definitely taken his advice and I now know every product thats goes into my head and have cut out the problem products. This was a month ago and my scale issues have gotten better and the hair in those areas are growing back in. I only use Damian's olive oil spray as of now.
Hello... I was looking at your hair story at the end. I really think your Previous Previous Stylist the was using the tea tree essential oil by it self. Most Essential oil needs a carrier oil with it. Especially the peppermint one also. You can't use it buy it self. It is to Strong and can burn the scalp and cause itchness and hair loss. She should have used a carrier oil with it like sweet almond oil, jojoba oil , olive oil etc... How is your hair doing now?
Windsingerful the locks don’t even look that thick in my opinion. It would be interesting to see how thick they get as they mature. That’s probably what the stylist was concerned about.
So I have the same issue with my scalp. After suffering with the pain I went to a dermatologist and got an analysis. The condition I have is called Lichen planopilaris which is a rare inflammatory condition that results in patchy progressive permanent hair loss mainly on the scalp. Three forms are recognised: Classic lichen planopilaris, also known as follicular lichen planus. The dermatologist informed me that there is nothing they can do to stop it from happening and once the hair falls out the follicle will die and I will go bald. I still have flare ups at random but I message my scalp with aloe Vera juice(real organic keep in the fridge juice), rose water, and anti-inflammatory essential oils.
The last client was very interesting. I can't imagine being in so much pain that I would actually rip my own hair out. I hope her condition can be treated.
ohmnamast3 im the last client. it is indeed painful. This was about a month ago and thanks to Damian advice, my scalp has gotten better. btw I loved his commentary for my segment 😂😂😂😂
Krystal did you ever go to the dermatologist. I'm a licensed stylist but it seems you have "Pilar Cyst", they occur on the scalp, mostly with middle aged women but it can occur in anyone. It can be hereditary.
BlackEnergyNews I have not seen a dermatologists yet bc I'm still looking for one of color. I am in my 20s, however I believe it could be hereditary bc my dad would always claim the same things, hair bumps in his head and clogged pores. Him being a man, he could wash his head everyday and be fine. I just try to keep my scalp as clean as possible. It's cleared up a good bit, but I still plan to see a dermatologist. Thank you
great analogy with the plant and watering the roots not the leaves. i now get it. i used to mist my hair anyway and ignore people who said not to. Changing my hair game. thanks
The last young lady has a serious medical problem it is called "TRICHOTILLOMANNIA" which is a disease of hair pulling. It is a nervous condition that occurs when a person has a nervous disorder associated with anxiety. She pulls her hair out and that's what causes the bumps just like a person that has their hair braided too tight..this usually is not reversible because the bulb of the hair has been removed from the follicle. You can see that she has very thick hair but this is from intentional pulling of the hair. I have a friend that has this and she is now completely bald and intentionally shaves her had and brows to keep from pulling her hair so that she doesn't get the puss pockets. My friend also was pulling her hair out during her sleep and didn't even realize she was doing it. This is also associated with MORGELLONS DISEASE which is a disease that causes you to THINK that you have pain or itching that you don't really have. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE AREAS IN HER HAIR THAT HAS THE PATCHES IS WHERE IT CAN'T BE SEEN. Unfortunately it is all self- inflected.
I love tea tree and I love peppermint oil but not every wash too much is too much maybe her scalp is sensitive to the tea tree and the peppermint we all know everybody can't use everything some people are very sensitive to things especially when it comes to that scalp
In regard to your statement about proper hydration coming from your diet not from spraying water/rosewater. How do you approach/coach clients with high porosity hair?
Al Iverson Hello Philly!!!! You is a bad boy I used to love watching you play. I'm in Atlanta and I'm watching this guy he ain't no joke! Now I want some locs. I'm sure you will go see him Please make sure he show you. I love your hair! God bless.
Damian, what's the blue spray you're using? I know it's not window cleaner lol...but it's in that bottle and it's throwing me off lolol. Love you though!!
I was thinking the SAME thing!! That's why I knew someone else was and thank you for asking and getting an answer for those of us that were worried hahaha
love yo videos I do natural hair I specialize in it and I love watching other people that have really good information and know what they talking about 💯
I really do not understand the last lady's logic. Why would she keep going to the same person if her scalp broke out since day one? Why would she physically pull her hair out? Why did she not go to the dermatologist a year ago?
moi That's how is black peeps are. It can set out to be a bad thing and some of us won't see any bad in what is going on with us unless someone breaks up the reoccurring cycle of the distress some of us go through. Just having the knowledge and understand can only stop it. This logic goes for everything else in life 😊 but she knows now and so do we
If I'm honest, I feel the same way. Something tells me there may be a deeper seated problem there. I do believe she's allergic to something but I also think that the allergic reaction should have prompted her to be in somebody's doctor's office the next day or same day as it started. I have allergies and have had products that have broken out my face and caused swelling, etc. I got into the allergy doctor the same day and "Hit the Benadryl!" It never occurred to me to pull my hair out. I feel really badly for this young lady and pray that she finds someone to help her. Ma'am if you see this, please see a dermatologist and an allergy doctor. Watch your product ingredient list as well. Just because other people use shampoos and products doesn't mean everyone can. I am allergic to the craziest things that are natural, etc.
Yes! I know this is a year old comment lol but I don’t understand why she didn’t stop seeing her and find a new stylist AT LEAST. I definitely would’ve already seen a dermatologist
Amen!!! When you visit a doctor, they want to know everything and have to start eliminating things by process of elimination. Some items are known irritants and others could be dye allergies etc.
I think he should be allowed to be himself according to this video even clients that can't afford him find their way back as a licensed goofy hairstylist myself just as long as your not disrespectful your educating your clients and you have skills people feel real comfortable with me i have a sense of humor and im not uptight getting your hair done isn't boring i love how his words are entertaining and educating at the same time with out missing a beat
Where are you Damian???? I have always loved locks I want to start locks I have a decent length of hair and would love to get locks. I love how you are with your clients hair. Your amazing......
I wish I had that 4 texture hair. Ive been locing for 9 months now and although they look locd from a distance i think i could comb them out with ease still if I wanted. Im considering loc extensions but don't really want to go that route :( Guess i just need to be patient...

K Jones so glad to hear you are doing better! This is old, but are you still loc’ed?
i like her part sizing. not everybody wants pencil thin locs
Right! I like thick locs! I don’t like the skinny ones as much. Needs to understand it’s a preference, and not “monster” - just different.
Windsingerful the locks don’t even look that thick in my opinion. It would be interesting to see how thick they get as they mature. That’s probably what the stylist was concerned about.
Kung Fu Panda 🐼 hair lmao 😂
Damian u kill me🤣😂💯
I don't know how I originally came across your channel but I'm glad that I did. I'm about 2 seconds away from shipping my brother to you.

WHY DIDN'T SHE GO TO THE DOCTOR BEFORE A HAIRSTYLIST? POR QUE?!
Man, I hope it works out for her.
