Best thing to do when enjoying Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd is to listen to the studio versions frist, then listen to the live. It gives you a reference. Not to mention these guys were masters in the studio.
I was 15 when I saw Zeppelin and I’m loving your reactions. About those jeans well we had a ritual getting in them. Once you got them on you had to lay flat on your bed to zip them. Then you would take your comb and smooth the pockets inside.
There's a movie called Dazed and Confused. It's about teens in Texas on their last day in school in 1976. There's a scene from the girls putting on those jeans laying on the bed with help from their friends. Girl wearing the jeans had I think a pair of pliers to zip up her jeans lol.
Yeah I remember back then I laid down on the bed a couple of times myself but I stopped wearing my tight jeans around my grandmother because she actually asked me was I wearing underwear and that she could see the outline of my junk in the trunk as she put it
Oh yeahhhhhh girl! Now you have to do live In My Time Of Dying!! Nobody better live! Also GOTTA do The Song Remains The Same/The Rain Song!! It is live too and unbelievable!
Julie Manarin, You are correct in everything you said doll. Btw, In My Time Of Dying is one of my funeral choices. That, Stairway and a # of others. A few from Pink Floyd as well. Also Freebird, A couple of Bad Company selections(First band Zep signed to their SWANSONG label) & a few other songs. No preacher who doesn't know me saying things he doesn't know about me either! My "guests" must be invited. Yes I said it. Invited...😉 No open casket. Remember me alive. Not shriveled up and dead. No sadsack stuff. Folks can get up and say something about me IF it is a funny story about me or me and them doing something together, etc... I want laughing going on at my funeral. Sorry to bring down you guys. I got carried away with my funeral plans. Rotflmao!! 😜
That was the style back then. As a kid in the 70’s we wore bell bottoms. Also skinny jeans and pants were the style in the 60’s. Look at Smokey Robinson and The Temptations so the skinny pants thing isn’t new.😂🤣 As a black chick who is now 51, I still blast this song in the car and get looks like oh u know this song?!😅😂🤣
Pre Heroin Page had some MF'n FOOTSTEPS. 3:57 Listening to Page play guitar is like eating the sweetest treat 😋 imaginable with the occasional bite of tin foil 😖. He was harnessing so much power in those Marshall amps occasionally a bolt of lightening would slip out here and there. But no one could do it better. He was a true pioneer going where he went with heavy and light, dark and soft playing all without modern technology as a safety net. Jimmy Page was the best ever imo. The most beautiful sounds imaginable 🥰 with the occasional explosion 💣💥💣💥. Zeppelin was/is the best band EVER and it's not even close.
All I can say is thank you for taking songs I've loved for decades and heard hundreds of times and making them fresh again. For real. Thank you! Love your reactions
Fun fact , Robert Plant the singer , is singing to his young daughter . Listen to the line "To the girl who won my heart" , "She was only four years old" . When the album Houses of the Holy came out , she was three years old . If you can get the dvd of the movie "The Song Remains The Same".
I’m not a big rap guy and just went over to listen to your original music and you’re terrific--way better than the radio. You ha e a great rhythmic feel
God, Jimmy was a killer killer guitarist but folks don't understand that he is a producer extraordinaire!! Btw, look at that package Robert has for ya Scribe!
Lemzia & You too: Both of y'all made me grin ear to ear. I actually preferred Jimmy, attraction wise I mean. I thought Robert was fine too. Don't get me wrong. It's just that Jimmy has that guitar player's appeal in every form. He was T A L E N T E D! That was the initial appeal, but he was also hott! Hot with that extra t. Lol... Mysterious and no I don't mean devil worship. He said even recently on a talk show that is bullshit! He said that would be like us reading up on or watching a TV show about a serial killer and people then saying we wanted to worship that serial killer! He said that's nonsense. I believe him 100% because anyone who can make a song like Stairway To Heaven with those heart wrenching, touching lines, cannot be a bad dude/group. Zeppelin=Best Rock Group of All Time!!!👍🏼✌🥇🎸🎶🎙🎹🎻 but 🥁+⚰=John Bonham 😢😪 A sad day in history for sure...
All I can say was on my way home from work at the hospital I was having a really crappy day but one of the stations that I think is now universal does get the led out at 8 pm.. ok now here is when you were wrong Zep played all of their music and didn’t have to try to get girls.. they fell at their feet.. and omg they had more talent than pretty much everyone.. I’m so glad I got to experience some of it.. I remember as a kid Bonham “Bonzo” the drummer died on my birthday.. I can’t remember much anymore but I remember that! Please always enjoy the music.. a lot of their music is based on the blues and the original black experience.. they loved the sound.. stay blessed my friend!
If you do still read old comments. ''Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand (Live Knebworth 1979).'' Zep at their very best live, it's a madness how tight they were... And Yeh, Page had swag like a 70's funk God.
For live performances check out these three - Led Zeppelin Trampled Under Foot Live Earl's Court 1975 - Led Zeppelin No Quarter Seattle 1977 - Led Zeppelin Achilles Last Stand Live Knebworth 1979 -
The thing about Zeppelin, not only were they top of their game talent wise, but they also were perfect in the stereotypical roles they had in the band. John Paul Jones, talented but quiet bass player in the background keeping the groove. Bonham wild man at the drums and hard partying wild man in life (sadly too much so). Page, slightly mystical with a flair for stage presence with a guitar. And Plant, the golden haired rock God with the super (super, super, super) tight jeans, flowing locks and bare chest, pure sex appeal on two legs. Add that in with the world class talent and is it any wonder they were the pinnacle?
My friend you are now ready to do Stairway to Heaven live 1973. After you hear the guitar solo then you will understand that no one in our generation knows anyone that can play the guitar with that kind of speed and pinpoint accuracy like the guitar player of Led Zep. Many of us are anticipating you doing the reaction.
Thanks for pulling the Led out again! 🙌🏼💕 Love Pages riffs! ... and... Yeah - the pants were skin tight back then.... Dittos for woman were highly popular then and just as tight but with a SUPER high waist line. 😂. Only Plant and Page could pull off outfits like that and still look so rockingly awesome. Thanks for your awesome reactions. 🔥💎🔥💎🔥💎🔥💎🔥💎
The Band's reaction to the Film after the Premiere, was (paraphrasing) "A movie about Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant's Crotch"! as for the woman who won Robert's heart, that would be His Daughter Carmen, at the time was 4 but in the Studio version, she is 3 years old. This song, lyrics by Robert, is about the Audience at their Concerts, Plant said that as he looked out the Audience, it looked like an Ocean of People.
You ready to rock n roll with led zeppelin. In my time of dying. A re-recording of an old blind willie Johnston song , originally recorded as “ Jesus make up my dying bed “. Then you will know , you’ve been rock n rolled. 😉
If I'm going to be rolling I'm going to be rocking if I ain't rocking I am not going to be rolling so yeah let's roll them rocks so our rocks can roll oh yeah
Love this song! In it, Robert sings about his little girl, and also the ocean of people in the audience at their shows. Please consider doing In My Time Of Dying live at Earls Court. Thanks!
When you hear the guitar solo you will swear that the guitar is trying to talk to you and say something to you in a different language. If you do this reaction I think you will find this is one of the best ones you ever enjoy doing I'll be waiting.
I was wondering if you were going to comment on Plant's "Skinny Jeans". LOL. Bell Bottoms were the bomb! Most of the time you could slide them on and off without even taking your shoes off.
YOU BRING UP A GREAT POINT..NO BODY IN MY GENERATIOIN Was HEavy...we had no computers...everyone WAS OUTSIDE AND USING THEIR IMAGINATION...THAT IS ALL WE HAD!!
Enjoying the reactions In a major way! It's really cool to watch someone experience the playing of Jimmy Page and John Bonham for the first time. May I make a request? The first song on Zep's 1973 album Houses of the Holy. (The Ocean was the last song on that album.) Cue up The Song Remains The Same (remastered in 2013). It's got everything you like: great drums and guitar, and also that classic Zep breakdown bit. The Song Remains The Same: show us some love, girl!!!
The thing with Zeppelin is the drums synched right in with the guitar instead of the bass! Whenever you listen to Zeppelin, look for that guitar locked in with the drums! Go back and listen to some of the stuff you've already heard. You'll totally notice it!
Dressing up had been a factor in rock for some time. By this stage the glam scene was making its influence felt (consider David Bowie - although it's chief protagonist back home in the UK was European smash Marc Bolan). This is the group at their most fundamental and crowd pleasing.
As was said earlier when you reacted to "Dazed and Confused", now that you've heard the studio version it's time to graduate to the live version from the same concert in 1973. It is truly a guitar tour de force and worth the 26 minutes. There is also a sequence, what you might call a video, that plays during Page's performance. For the concert film "The Song Remains the Same" which is where these tunes come from, each band member has a sequence that epitomizes their personality/persona. Jimmy Page's is during "Dazed and Confused", Robert Plant's during the "Rain Song", John Paul Jones during "No Quarter" and John "Bonzo" Bonham's is during "Moby Dick'" - a raging 15 minute drum solo. But I digress, you will have a hard time finding any guitar playing that equals Jimmy's on "Dazed and Confused" live (including the trippy bow section) from that 1973 concert, so believe me it is well worth the time to react!! ruclips.net/video/ZQgYn23Xvck/видео.html

Great reaction! Zeppelin no joke. There the real deal.
Jimmy is so fun to watch on stage duck face and his dance moves.
I'm not sure who has the better Duck face, Robert of Jimmy?

It’s the “invitation song” at A Led Zeppelin revival!! Lol
