Great advice Steve. Very honest information here. Reasons why I haven't gone to bigger tires which I would love to have. (They look so darn cool!) Reasons are affordability but also the stress it puts on all the mechanical components of our machines. When do go bigger, 28s are my limit for the zforce. This video will have guys thinking twice about going too big. You have to have deep pockets and a wife that doesn't mind you spending your retirement income.
I have a 2" Perfex kit and 30" Swamp Force tires on my 1000 XL. It's more than enough for practical hunting and trail riding. Especially with small children. I wanted ground clearance more than I need major traction. Traction leads to breakage. RPMs lead to breakage. And portals require maintenance, and can be their own weak point.
Got 30s on the uforce 1000 and I ride some pretty extreme stuff.. Only smoked a belt cause had water in the belt box and was trying to pull a 88 Susuki Samurai out of some deep mud lol . Good times and great machine.
2022 800ex wet clutch. Still on stock 26 x 9 and 26 x 11 tires. Still stock clutch. I would like to go to 28 x 10 all the way around eventually, but I am waiting for the stock tires to wear. When it comes time my plan is to talk to you and see about a clutch. I'm thinking sometime next summer. We will see. Keep up the great videos, and Thank you for all the great info. You Rock.
I run 3 sets of tires throughout the riding season. The stock 27 Stags that came standard on the machine I run during the dog days of summer riding local trails. 27" Blackwater EVO's for early spring mud. And 29" SUNF (Bighorns knockoffs) for Drummond Island riding where I need a little added clearance climbing the rock walls. These are actually pretty nice tires. They are a tad heavier than Bighorns...but still light enough for 29's where it isn't over taxing my driveline and belt. Prior to the SUNF's I ran 30" CST RC's for tech and crawling. These were much heavier tires than anything else I've ran and probably accounted for 20% of the miles I put on the machine last year. I gave them up for the 29's. Everything else on my 950 is stock. No clutching....no tunes. I probably don't ride hard like a lot of people do. I'm in it for the long haul. I'm sitting at about 4200 miles on my machine with zero issues thus far. I'd like to be at 4500-4700 by the time I put it away for winter. I would luv to have an RNG clutch kit installed in it. Something to give it a little boost at mid range.....just not sure I wanna risk the issue free longevity I have going on so far. Great informative video RNG....I'm glad someone took the initiative to step forward and inject some honesty into the clutter.
SPOT ON, great topic, excellent presentation. From the extensive searches I've done, UTV's / ATV's do not have differential gear options like trucks, jeeps, etc. Want to run 40" tires without portals? Swap in differentials from a military HUMVEE, since they are designed for independent suspension.
@@R.N.GPerformance It seems like some company would manufacture aftermarket ring / pinion sets. The issue might be production costs vs. demand. They might end up being really expensive. Hopefully the clutch kit will be ok for my planned adventure, but it would be nice to have access to lower gears if my machine still struggles a little due to the amount of weight I plan on carrying in the machine & hauling in trailer. The more stress I can take off the cvt, the better.
Thanks for the great video and the great advice. I just bought one of these 800s and I was wondering what a good tire size would be to run on it thank you

I already have 4 of them in 29x9x14 do you think they would be ok to run all them all the way around on my machine, I know most people would run 4 ten inch all around.
Great info! I’d also bet that CFMoto won’t cover driveline damage if you have over spec tires on your machine. With that said I’m staying with the stock tire size.
Hi Steve, thank you for all videos! One option you're not talking about....! CForce 1000 stock 14 inch what happens when i change to 12 inch tyres like russian version? The Cf Thunder racing team use 26x9-14 in front and back! What do you think about this option? Thanks

Question 2022 you force 1000 can I re-clock the secondary with 28 inch tires and it do any good it’s very jerky right now and I’m trying to resolve some of that and if I can what settings on the clocking
