I really admire how indept you get! It’s a lot of information my brain kind of overloaded! But it’s awesome that you take the time to explain everything! 🙏
Great video bud, I’ve been watching all of your videos and honestly it helped make my decision to place a deposit on the 1000 XL yesterday. I pick up the machine this weekend so I will be reaching out to you for your clutch kit. Keep up the great content ! 🤙. And by the way, I’ve always been a Canam owner, jumping over to the dark side 😊
Thanks for all the information you put out in your videos! I'm braking in my New U1000! Your help is greatly appreciated from me because I plan on keeping it around for a long time! Thanks buddy!👍
My 07 Grizzly still has stock belt and works the exact same as it did day one! Wet clutch is without a doubt the way to go for smooth performance and long term reliability! Slightly less power efficient than a dry clutch and less fuel efficient than a Honda hydraulic transmission but definitely the best choice!
I have a grizzly 700. Low for torquey situations and high for everything else. Rock crawling, mud or anything that requires good torque is low. I ride relatively fast so just use high most of the time. I have never smelled burned rubber.
I drove my brand new, bone stock, 800 trail on a maintained dirt road with a steady incline the whole way for about 10 miles. I averaged 20-25mph following my kids on their 250 cc ATVs. I noticed the cabin temp was a lot warmer running in low than high. I ran downhill in high the whole way and the cabin temp cooled quite a bit.
I just bought a new 2023 CFORCE 600. I understand why it has to be this way but I wish it wasn’t. When I was looking at ATVs I went from an old school shift style to automatic because I wanted the convenience of being “automatic”. Going around property fixing fence lines to making a straight run at 40mph to grab a tool from the garage. And not be screaming rpm’s! I really wish I didn’t have to anticipate what speed I was going to go before I just put it in gear and went. Why can’t they have an automatic that you can run 5mph or 60mph and not worry about the belts. I know this is the same with all the brands. I knew about the gearing before I bought and still bought anyway. I just wish it was different.
I own a Uforce 800 and ride with a off road club here in Az. We average over 100 miles on a off road trip. Encounter very steep climbs, ride through very rocking (a lot of large boulder and rocks) and sand. Average speed is 22 mph, sometimes speeds over 40mph. I do try to use low gear a lot. But by stopping to shift, I upset guys behind me. Most Polaris, Razors, Honda and other major buggies are in the group. Can they shift on the go? I worry about the high RPMs in low gear, is it safe to run 5500-6500 rpms for long periods (20-30mins). I have road on Harley all over the country. But very new to a sidebyside. I will say some of the other riders are surprised how well my Uforce 800 keeps up. Clearance is my biggest problem. Any some suggestions. I live in Illinois but stay all winter in Az. I do all the mantenance on my Uforce 800 and love your channel. Very informative!
What about Work mode vs. Normal mode? This is my first SxS so it's all new to me. This video helped, Thanks. FYI.....I'm installing your clutch kit tonight I bought from you a few weeks back -John
Excellent topic. What is the maximum RPM you should run in low gear and the minimum cruising RPM you should run in a stock Z800 EX with the dry clutch? Somewhat related, what is the engine RPM red line? Thanks.
It's easy if it's not struggling and rolling smooth keep it in high if it's struggling and not rolling smooth low. Mud always low. Hard pack to the bar🏁🏁🏁
Long back road hill descents make me nervous with my uforce1000, like 35-45 mph down hills for 2-3 miles. Should I worry or am I just being over cautious?
I was just wondering what gears to run in without in the country.Do a lot of black top and I was curious.Machines tends to run it 5 grand at 35.Is it normal
Awesome i was told only use low gear for inclain hills or pulling something. And don't go faster than 30mph anything after that use high gear. True or false

I want the clutch kit but I don't want to be turning 4000 rpm in low trail riding at 6 to 8 mph. I have mine where I want it about 3800 to 3400 on flat ground at 10 mph. I'm a slow trail rider where I ride anything over 6 to 7 mph and you will tear something up. I have a u-force 600 and with the windshield it gets load in their with that 4000 to 4300 rpm. The way I have it set up works great for trails but I want that smooth take off.
The way my kits are designed will give you smooth take off. And the power desired. When you lower the RPM too much you cause other issues excessive belt heat etc etc. the way our clutches are tuned they are perfectly dialed in.
My limiter shuts off at 17mph in low gear ...unless I hold the override button down...99% of time when I'm ridin with friends...we're haulin booty...runnin around 25-30mph...if I run low like ur sayin to red...everyone would run off n leave me like a settin lost lil puppy!! 😢😂
What do you recommend to help with them being tippy I have a 21 600t with stage 1 clutch 1.5" lift 27" tires 1.5" spacers in the front shocks are tight or all the way stiff just seems tippy a lil scarey sometimes

If I use low gear in my UFORCE 600 I can't go more than maybe 10 mph because the motor sounds like it's going to blow. My 600 has a very very low gear. Would re clocking the helix change that?

I wish more manufacturers were like Yamaha and Kawasaki and didn't' use the belt as a clutch. Or like Honda and not even use a belt.

That’s because I’m low the clutch is spinning faster moving more air. Blowing more hot air away from the belt and the engine. That is a good thing
