  • Drama, Drama, Drama - This Was A Referral From One of the Richest Groups in Florida. We are known for doing really big jobs, this one is one of those situations where its icky and gooey and we don't want to get into the middle of the drama. The stuff here was 95% trash some small items made it back to the shop those will be donated, pretty much the only thing we will able to repurpose its the scrap metal and a hand full of items, the job was done for less because we can repurpose stuff, however the owner cleaned out the house before we arrived to save himself some money, so this ended up being a massive yard debris removal.

    Great work! The victim is the home owner, having to deal with the headache of a squatter and trying to get them out!

    I've dealt with a few hoarder houses. it can be overwhelming. You are "lucky" (but maybe not) that you have a shop where you can take stuff back to and offer it for sale, plus you have a person at that shop who can keep it open for normal business hours & ring up a sale so folks can look at your haul and leave some money behind. Imagine you DIDN'T have that shop. It would change the list of things you kept or tossed out. In the houses I've dealt with, it is so hard to imagine extracting any net value out of all the stuff you think "hey somebody could use this for -----". With some notable exceptions, of course. But for the most part, what we've been able to sell yielded nothing more than bulldozing the whole place into the dump.
    Another thing I noticed is that looking at 137,000 things and making 137,000 judgements "keep, toss, donate" is absolutely exhausting. It fries your brain synapses.

    So..... We were working in a high-rise office bank bldg. In Chicago. LVI a company out of Dupage County ( Villa Park), came in with a packer( rear loading ) garbage truck with the scraper. The laborers cleared 6 floors of office debris with this truck. Remember this is a 90 yard compressed compacted load. They saved big time with this truck. The savings was roughly 30 or 40 30yard dumpsters. Once in the packer, there was no digging that shit back out.

    • @paulneron375
      @paulneron375 2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, you can still find these older units. Usually smaller community's and municipalities that periodically handle their own trash pick-ups find it more cost effective to own their unit and pay their own driver to operate it. Now imagine having your Name on the side and backing up to the next eyesore that's going to pay you BIG money for a reckless disaster clean-up. KA-CHINGE!, condense your trucking endeavors by trying this method next. If your skeptical, hire an outfit first, truck and driver, as an experimentation, then go for broke with your own rig. REMEMBER: supply your labor with Tyvek suits. You don't want claims they contracted bacterial infections. The help can work in shorts and " wife-beaters" underneath the tyvek.

    Look, I love that you guys are cleaning up your community and trying to repurpose what you can. Squatters are a problem everywhere, but it’s folly to praise someone like DeSantis who decries these people without giving them any other support. Yes, there are all sorts of people taking advantage of the system, and y’all did show humanity to this person, but try not to praise a man who is stripping away basic human rights for normal hard-working Floridians. Y’all keep doing great work!

      Squatters anywhere is a problem especially where the properties are vacant like Florida. Squatter issues are a problem this country is a mess right now and I don't see how its going to get fixed.....so sad.

    DeSantis may be garbage incarnate but i agree with the squatter law. No way anyone should just be able to just waltz into a house and decide it's theirs.
    It's especially infuriating when you see videos taken by the homeowners of the squatter calling it "their" house, and telling the owner THEY have to leave, and just generally flaunting it in their faces.
    The only videos i wanna see of squatters are the ones where they get tased and drug off in the back of a car lol
