    Why didn't you use a GPS to see where you were on the water, your phone has one which is generally very accurate and then you could have gotten a regular GPS and just downloaded a nautical chart which would have told you exactly where you are. I use them when I'm plowing snow and I'm in a parking lot and I don't know where the curbs and things are at so I get it GPS and that gives me a pretty good idea if something's in my way

      I appreciate the input, and I looked at my phone, but I still couldn't tell where the channel was we were off the one side of it in about ten inches of water. We waited about twenty minutes until it was light and then we finished our trip. It was exciting and fun and possibly unsafe, but it was still a way to get to the island when they do this. It's not cool. I should be able to go to my house after a hurricane. And assess my damage and start fixing things without someone telling me I can't go.

    You dont know if they got wet. Mold can kill poor people

    • @removeitprosdemolition
      @removeitprosdemolition День назад

      Your clothes get wet when you wash them.Do they get mold? You know, only rare types of mold are dangerous. There's mold everywhere, when you go outside, you experience my mold everywhere. That furniture, if it was pressure washed and allowed to dry properly, would have no problems with it.

    • @RogerEbert-vy5pv
      @RogerEbert-vy5pv День назад

      @removeitprosdemolition It's been awhile. There are several types of refrigerants now. I'm not sure all will qualify. The way it worked was, the company would pickup the refrigerated. Ship it out to California where they would buy it and have it destroyed. Sounds strange. But, remember it's California. A bit of online research should find the needed information. Hope this helps.

    I’m working in Captiva and it’s crazy to an Ohio boy to see these beaches and property being rebuilt so quickly. This place was ravaged and looked rough a few weeks ago when I came down it’s really coming along nicely but they’re definitely moving a mountain of sand.

    If they didn’t want people like you to get it for free, then sale it for profit, that’s their business. If you, or anyone else really want it, take it. You can reupholster/clean it up. You know, pay for it with your own sweat, money and/or time.

    Looks dangerous for that building to still be standing after multiple storms undermining it, especially after that condo collapse in south fl.

    • @removeitprosdemolition
      @removeitprosdemolition 5 часов назад

      You know, as a general contractor when I walked up on the building and looked at it. The parts of the building that are damaged, they're not structural. One of the pilings did have a little bit of damage, but it was minor the rest of the building.Though the floor under the first uh, level got undermined and in order to fix the plumbing in that they had to take the floor out and it was a heavy duty job. The unfortunate thing is, the water is SO close to that building that I don't know. If the beach renurchment could start closer to that building and the one on leonardo arms to try to help them now, since we're doing this beach rennourishment, all the way down our beach, it's an amazing amount of sand

    Absolutely needs to be marked and destroyed because also in the flood water is sewage water and so many other contaminated crap. Aside from the mold problems it now has it keeps "scavengers at another level" from attempting to clean it and selling it to people who don't have a clue where it came from or the literal crap that was on it !!!
