I know you guys do demolition and such. But can you show a stand alone house on the beach that has made it thru all of the resent hurricanes and is livable?
I don't know it as well as I know. Fort. Myers beach, but it's in the same state that we're in. We have so much damage, and we keep going getting more damage. It just slows things down and recovering. Hopefully this cycle is done, and we can get five or six or ten years before another, one of these storms hit us.
What do they do for tax bill amount and insurance for a to be demolished 4M home? If your home is destroyed and then empty from a storm do you get a tax deduction?
Hey, at 11:49 it appears that there is one of those whole house fans in the ceiling, with louvers that close when it is off. Is there any value in these? I haven't seen one of these things since my parents house in Michigan in the 1980's.
@@brianblithe2271 We had this in my parents house in Mish-Gin. You had a switch on the wall to turn it on, and the louvers lifted to allow the air flow. My parents house in Mish-gin was in a forest, and if all the windows were open on a 78 degree day, you could turn that fan on in the upstairs hallway and it cooled the whole house via the breeze. The problem was the original builder made the MASSIVE mistake of not using forced hot air in the house, it had these silly radiators at the bottom of the rooms so air conditioning could only be done with room units. Totally backwards!
@@Flies2FLL Are you saying it had one of those rotating fan things that restaurants had or where did the air go after it opened. I partied once in Mish-gin !!! too bad there wasnt any smoke going back then !!!
@@removeitprosdemolition we just pushed everything to the back they wanted to keep all the sand. Not quite sure the reason for it. Did several houses on hickory and a whole street in barefoot.
This house appears to be in good shape and mostly on solid concrete piers, why couldnt they finish demoing the downstairs and just continue to use the upstairs??
Its called the 50 % rule. If the structure is damaged past 50% of the building value on the tax records it cannot be rebuilt. BTW that lot is worth at least $4,000,000.00

@@removeitprosdemolitionDave that’s pretty serious stuff. Please take care of yourself. The waters were probably full of muck after the storms. Nothing to not take serious for you and your crews. Be well.
My grandma and her team of investors went around Florida and bought up everyone’s home before they died over the past several decades. The city governments have been playing a shell game to hide ownership as they try to figure out how they are going to manage them without getting caught. That’s why I think it’s best that each area has a military leader that owns and controls everything. That way the military leader can decide who gets to live in the city limits and who can’t step foot in the area. The military leader also has the ability to hide out whoever they want in their city. Thousands of men all across this country have made some serious mistakes when they decided they were going to be Department of Defense men and work together to destroy people, families, companies, pretty much anything in their path to get the money or profits without having to work for it. Many of these men have crossed the line of no return and their actions warrant expelling them from this country. Also, my grandma used her unlimited checkbook to buy up everything. No investor money was used. That’s why everything is a mess right now because everyone to afraid to take control. I guess they are all waiting it out hoping that no one notices anything. Title companies know who the real owners are.
Have no idea what you are talking about. This is not Venezuela. Let the Capitalistic vultures buy up all the properties at a nice dicount and rebuild. Sounds like your grandma needs to unload a bunch of properties. She should sell half off and rebuild with the other half with the Capital she gets. Should be able to do a 1031 exchange to reinvest the Capital in the existing properties. Probably be another 5 to 10 years to rebuild Bonita Beach.

Wow…at least the hurricanes windows work!
Yeah the hurricane windows were pretty nice.
I think they just got water/flood, they too far south for any real wind.
Do you know anything about Sanibel Island and how it's recovering since hurricane Ian?

Why do you guys not build with solid concrete foundations and brick and mortar?
They do since 2005 and the new code works the houses are structurally perfectly fine after these storms.
