My husband an ex brickie (retired now from building trade) and myself are watching from Australia, we understand the devastation of floods and fire and empathised with you., so sad to see your beautiful area. We have just found your channel and we are LOVING IT especially the demo’s and what you get from the houses, showing your repurpose yard, absolutely great stuff. All what you do and how honest and open and down to earth you are. We’ve binge watch your videos over a week and will be looking forward to whatever you put up next. Keep up the good work. Also, loved your enlightening story of your start in this business. Fabulous. Thank you.
You are showing us sides of this situation that the news doesn't. You know what I mean. And that it can be a long process. My heart goes to those who lost lives, property, jobs . And businesses that may or may not recover ( ie jobs). You're all in my prayers up and down the East Coast states. 💪🙏💜🐢🐝
Love your videos. My wife and I are heading to the Pink Shell November 3-8. I would love to come by your warehouse. This stuff and your drone videos have kept us linked to the area along with friends that have a place in Fort Myers. Been watching your videos for a while. We were at the Pink Shell in November 2020 when ETA was churning away in the Gulf. And were devastated watching stuff after Ian. Almost every place we liked at Fort Myers Beach was literally gone. Your videos on the sand displacement the last few weeks fascinates me. Stay well and safe.
Builders in the 1940s would leave pennies between the linoleum and subfloor, also under baseboards. Don't know if it was for leveling or as a momento for future generations. I have great respect for these skilled tradesman. Most, like my father, were WWII vets who'd just returned.
@gis177 I relish finding these links to the past during remodeling. A toy soldier, marbles, baseball cards, a ring or even melted crayons retrieved from within a HVAC duct in an 80 yr old home gives me pause to think how their owners life turned out. I soak the pennies in vinegar to restore them.
@@bobcaygeon975 that's good trick i will try that, pepsi or any dark soda should work too. I have a ton to look at, she had jar of coin and some old (paper) money..i have to research. The empty rifle boxes sometimes sell for 50-100 dollars each on eBay check sold items. I've sold a few different ones in the past and did ok on them. Don't just toss them out before checking them first. Who doesn't like 100 dollar bills
LOL nice underwear adjustment at 9:45 🤭 I've been binging on your videos; you give great insight to the real issues Floridians face during/after a hurricane, things we Northerners don't consider (like all that sand !). Plus, I like to see what you find in the buildings you're about to take down, not to mention you seem like a cool boss.
Great find!! I am a novice part time collector of coins on the west coast of Florida, if you are interested in selling any of your finds to us smaller people, lol please let me know. Thank you
Hello.. Most houses and buildings are built with the level of a street or the ground. It is better to build it on a concrete base with a height of one meter or more to avoid flood problems or high water level, or it is possible to return to pictures of previous floods and determine the level of height necessary to build a house
This was filmed before Milton hit. I think Helene was nothing compared to Milton. A jalousie window in a door, shades of the 1950s when I lived in Orlando. I feel bad for the person that went to the trouble to collect all that and for some reason left it behind. Coins in bags are not worth much but the silver ones are worth scrap silver prices at least.
Wheat pennies not worth a whole lot unless they are flawed with double stamps etc. One particular mint mark ( I do not remember which mint) may be worth a lot.
It's incredible how opinionated people are those days, everyone knows everything and likes to make others know how smart they are, and then you check how they're doing in their own lives and...well... even the bed where they sleep is a mess 😂 I guess that being in the construction area as you are, if building a basement was a good idea, you probably would've figured it out by now 😅people are crazy, and you are definitely brave enough to remain that polite 😊 ❤
Thats a family collection.. Its "almost" not right to keep that stuff... Yes a HUGE reward should be given to you for their stupidity, BUT, its not "morally" right to keep someones family, possibly , generational family collection that "may" have sedimental value to THEM...
@@removeitprosdemolition Trust me, some family is missing it... Unless death occured and it was never passed on and forgoten... It was all cataloged and stored in a good fashion... Not saying your doing anything wrong, but if that was for example my "late fathers" collection, and you found it, and it could be proven to be my fathers (previous homeowner records), I'd be greatly disturbed someone just took a stake in it.. Obviously making a video about it is either not very smart, OR a great way to find and locate the rightful owner, along with all the "crazy's" that will want to claim it as well LOL.. - its a sticky situation for sure... Your not wrong, just what happens if someone contacts you and is the rightful owner? And if it can even be proven is the question as well. I surely would never hand it back without 100% knowing someone is the rightful owner, or beneficiary of it! exciting find though!
nice find that is all worth melt value. If you were selling silver quarters for $30 then congrats because there worth what $5-$7. I bet that is worth 3-4k in silver nothing else there holds any value.
Yeah, I made of I don't remember, but I thought I was selling them for thirty dollars a piece apparently not after looking into it and I agree with what you said after you doing a little bit of research on these unless of course, we find a unicorn.
