"The best thing about the future is that it hasn't happened yet" WHAT?? WTF does that even mean?! The best thing about My future is that I won't see this movie.
In the next Marvel movie, Dr. Strange is replaced by Dr. Pepper, Sprite from The Eternals is replaced by a can of Sprite, Red Hulk is replaced by Red Bull, Mister Fantastic is replaced by Mr. Pibb and the rest of the Fantastic Four is replaced by three cans of Fanta.
I have seen A LOT of new memes like the morbin time but about this movie and almost every single one of them were funny, so I hope Sony learns its lesson and understand memes are not actual metrics
I kept thinking about the paradox of the movie. He had dreams of the spider girls killing him, so he wants to kill them now. However, none of the teens new each other or Madame. Only by him going after them, he somehow brings them together. All 3 girls are at different walks of life and for them to become best friends at some point is highly unlikely, just because they are so different from one another. Had he not gone after them, I wonder what happens. How could they possibly be brought together.
It’s even worse than that because by going after them he also changed the future so Madame Web kills him instead. So the future he predicted was literally impossible because the girls would have never met had he not gone after them but also by going after them it caused someone else killed him. Makes no sense.
That guy never heard of Self-fulfilling prophecy. Those girls would have never met each other if it weren’t for his interference. And they would have no reason to kill him if he hasn’t tried to kill them first. So in trying to prevent his death, he ended up being the very cause of it instead
There's nothing wrong with mulling over predestination paradoxes, but do you realise that in doing so you've already thought about the plot more than the writers did?
4:59 this is an amazing observation because I've always thought that a movie about superheroes that work in an airport car rental facility would be really spectacular.
I think a better reworded quote of “with great power comes great responsibility” should be something like “great responsibility comes to those who have great power” or something
There shouldn't be a reworded quote from that iconic line, they can try their best, but it will always be just a rip off of the original delivered so well by the actor who played uncle Ben in the first movie
How about: "Two great things will come to those who are great. These two great things are great power and great responsibility. And they always come with each other. You can't have one without the other. Byebye Peter Parker I have to go now because it's Morbin time" and then they turn and wink.
Here's a dark interpretation. The studios are working in conjuction with the theater owners to deliberately create movies nobody is going to see. The theaters run the movies to empty seats but report full house cash ticket sales to the IRS. Money laundering should always be considered when the visibly financially unsupportable continues. I find it highly suspect that these people knowingly make a movie this bad unless you consider that they mean for it to tank at the box office. There is more to this than just saying the people who make these movies are stupid or incompetent. There is obviously and agenda in play.
Madame Web wishes us an early Halloween as the words of ISB supervisor Blevin ring out in all our minds "It took the combined ingredients of idiocy, ineptitude, and total disengagement for this farce to have reached the full apex of incredulous disaster." Also, I love how the only good thing to come out of this film is the memes. They should have given the script of Madame Web to R/Raimi memes, at least it would have been better than the geniuses that wrote Gods of Egypt, the Last Which Hunter, Dracula Untold, the story for the Power Rangers movie, and Morbius. 0:50 Silk, Spider-Boy, Spider-Gwen, Anti-Venom (whether it be Eddie Brock or Flash Thompson), Mayday Parker/Spider-Girl (or any of Peter and MJ's other children in the comics), Ben Reilly, Kaine, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-UK, Spider-Punk, Spider-Ham, Peni Parker, Spider-Man J, Spider-Bitch, and Spider-Man 2099, all of these are films I'd much rather have than a Madame Web movie. 2:02 Speaking of the comics Ezekiel Simms was never even a villain in the comics 3:29 At least the 2003 Daredevil movie had an ironically amazing soundtrack. 5:19 Hey they don't look ripped out of a CW pilot! They look ripped right out of a fan film. 5:34 I love how when I was in elementary school I treated safety drills (which I knew were drills) a lot more seriously than these characters treated the villain. 6:23 They made Shazam! Fury of The Gods Skittles advertisement proud. 7:51 If I had a nickel every time Sony's Spider-Man Spin-off movies made The Amazing Spider-Man 2 look like a masterpiece I'd have two nickels which isn't much but it's weird it happened twice. Joking aside at least in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 you can tell all of the actors are giving it their all, the effects (except for The Green Goblin and Electro's design) look good (especially the Spider-Man suit which is the best it's ever looked in live-action), the action had some cool moments, the score was good (and they didn't steal it form the PS4 game like Madame Web did), it could occasionally be funny, and it had some good scenes like the Death of Gwen Stacy, the montage afterward, and Spider-Man/Peter Parker's interactions with the child he meets (and those scenes has more heart, emotion, and depth than the entire Sony Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man, despite not being in a good movie). Morbius and Madame Web have none of that. You can tell he loved this film.

Honestly Sony at this point feels like it has no idea what it’s doing with the characters and I don’t even think we are getting that sinister 6 movie that they have been clamouring for I have yet to check this movie out as I didn’t want to spend money on this great video man
She obviously thought this was a marvel franchise move and everyone was happy not to tell her otherwise. It wasn't, it tanked, and she fired her agent.😂
In the old days of less than a decade ago, if a movie bombed this badly everybody connected would be fired. and it would be a long time before they ever worked on a A-movie again. The writers and director would be banished to indie films and TV sitcoms, and the actors would be doing guest appearances on Law and Order, or they'd be in straight-to-video crap. Now there's no repercussions. The studio blames the audience and makes another piece of crap with the same results.
My wife still wants to see that movie. She says the only reason I am not watching it is because I've watched the bad reviews. I let her know I was not going to watch this because I've seen this plot device already in Next (2007). I love watching reviews of bad movies. I've seen probably watched days of reviews on M.Knight's movies. That's the only way to get entertainment from most of them. Have a like and a new sub. Please entertain me and let me know your take on good and bad movies.
Next (2007) with Nicholas Cage was decent as it showed how one uses their clairvoyance powers in a logical way. This one though, must have been written by people in a coma.
I heard that song has to release a Spider-Man IP related movie every so often to prevent the rights from going back to Marvel. That being said, they were probably hoping for success with this too just from all the promo and ad spend.
Taking Sydney Sweeney and turning her into a dumpy teenager was also a waste. Why didn't they just find someone less attractive. There are so many questions about this movie. Like why didn't someone notice that the plot was a mess, and also why the screenplay was a mess. Very high paid people in studios are meant to look at this stuff and go, no we are not putting up $200million for this to be made. Generally the whole process of making a movie involves someone starting with a plot and then convincing a studio that it should pay for the next step, which is a screenplay.
I was wondering why the writers have such little respect for the original story, and even less shame. Presumably it's a rights thing, and as Sony/Amazon are doing Silk separately. In sum: there are cooler female Spidery characters, but they're not allowed to use them. So we get a melange of origins and powers from Jessica Drew and Julia Carpenter. This ends up being as coherent as Wolverine with aliens, jetpacks, dinosaurs, and Cthulhu. Fkg travesty.
The cast shouldn't take the hit for this. Writers and directors are failing on all the film companies. Lets face it making teenagers look dumb is so easy because... look at the today's youth they are lazy and uninformed (dropouts) for the most!
I do believe this movie is purposly bad. You can tell by dialogue alone, some lines (and performance) are simply pathetic. Speacilly when the girls get togheter, you can tell they made them to be blend and stupid. That was done by desigin, they are trying to reproduce the morbius effect.
You are wrong. They have hired people based upon everything except their skill and these people have created a movie that they think is GOOD. The creators think this movie is good. That's what we've come to in today's Hollywood.
we’re actually over analyzing madame web? you’re supposed to know that this movie is garbage and not even care about any value of it. dakota johnson and sydney sweeney is all i care about. throw some baddies up on the big screen and i will give that film a 6/10 no matter how good or bad the quality is like come on man 🤣🤣🤣

Napoleon Bonaparte famously declared: 'Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence. '
Napoleon never said that according to the 'Hanlon's Razor' page on Wikipedia.

Thank you! It’s been too long. Good to be back in the game and more content coming soon!
How the hell we went from getting successful films like across of spider verse to this!?
Sony likes to give us whiplash
The moment I saw the trailer, I knew it would be terrible. It was an absolute mess.
I knew that since day 1
