Duff is a good boy for sure. But the bestest bud ever was the lil guy in my pic. Bandit lived to be 11 before the big C took him from me. Ripped my heart right out to say goodbye to him.
One has not lived the full richness of existence, until one has experienced the joy of a front suspension rebuild. almost as much fun as watching home movies of gram pa's hemorrhoid surgery. Love me some Chevy wagon. Be well.
Nothing lifts the spirit quite like Mortske Monday and especially Duff Dog doing Zoomies in the snow! Also enjoying the Professor Mortske minute detailing history of elements contained in the episode. I would paint the wheels of Sixtyfo the body color and put on period correct full wheel hubcaps and one inch whitewalls. The body of the wagon deserves the spotlight. I tried asking my mechanic about replacing the bushings in my ’77 Buick LeSabre control arms, and he just shook his head and said, no…you’re getting new ones. Now I know why. Nice to see a good picture of Duff in the thumbnail…Love the Duff!
Why a 64 impala wagon?? I've played in them as a kid and man The are huge ..we drove to Indiana dunes every summer in it as well as camping but thank you for saving it from the scrap yard as they all have been subject to. Under-appreciated cars are the best !!! ❤❤
That is one nice looking station wagon , and its a Mortske first . I would bet that twenty years from now it will still be the pride of the fleet . After you repair the spare tire well ( properly ) and the one body mount you will have it showroom fresh . Thank you for sharing this with us , I have always been a bit of a nut for real memorabilia and that was a fine example . Stuart in Ontario ..
Thanks marski I'm always excited to see that 64 Impala you had it on the RUclips channel a handful of times and I love seeing that beautiful white wagon
I love this era of Chevies - long and low! If I ever have the money to afford it, I'm getting of these, but with a straight six and a powerglide. For the wheels on this Impala - go for the stamped steel, either red to match the interior, or black.
@@SpaceInTime188515 years ago that was true. But nowadays their quality and quality control are just too piss poor. I like going on eBay and finding NOS made in America Moog. It’s cheap and actually worth something other than a paper weight like the new Moog shit.
my folks had a used '64 Bel Air (Mom's car). It screamed Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet. I loved it. When they moved it on it went for $200 and was still quite a good car. Your wagon wants to see the road this summer.
When I added hydroboost to my Scout II I struggled getting the rod length correct for the master cylinder. These rods are the non adjustable type and you simply cut/grind to fit. But on the ole Amazonia I found "Brake Booster Adjustment Tool " which will basically measures the rod protrusion and the master cylinder depth to get you where you need to be. IIRC you leave about 1/8" inch gap to prevent brake drag when everything is up to temp. Worked like a champ!
I personally like these videos where you bring out something you already own and bring it back to life. It has to be stressful and expensive trying to find a different car every week, enough to actually start dreading making content… Definitely don’t want that to happen.
Well deserved and proper upgrade for a really cool car, It would be fun to see you and Duff at one of the events you attend in that machine. Looks so road trip ready!
Steel rim and cast aluminum chrome plate center hub if you people have not figured out he was referring to the ss cragar styled 5 spoke magnesium wheels lol...
Thanks for the church key I got mine in the mail a while back and I forgot you were giving a lug nut cover with the first 30 orders, appreciate the extra gift👍🏻
I didn’t com here so to you could to mock me 🤣 gotta stay after the credits kids. Love the upgrades to the wagon. Thank you for keeping these rigs out of the scrap yards and back on the roads. Great job Mortske
Anyways awesome auction score mortske sir 64 Chevy Impala wagon, and the reason I mentioned the 65-68 Buick wagon hinged rear floor panel setups is its probably going to be fairly easier to find a Buick sport wagon in the boneyard for the hinges and maybe the floor panel than it would be to find a 63-67 Impala wagon in the junkyard?!
Thanks Mortske, really impressed after all these years you still have the wagon, yes it's cool and great to see it getting some love! Teenage Mortske didn't do too bad with the mods, at least you wern't like me and shave the door handles, tint the windows and... erm steel 8 spokes (cringe!), in hindsight it made my van look like a pimped out creeper van!!
Duffs got a MAJOR case of the zoomies LMAO... The part the really cracked me up was when he was tail draggin his radish through the hoovershneef by the 56. As far as the wheels for the wagon, there's only one choice, Torq Thrusts... They would totally change the looks of the car.
Torque thrust , are never a wrong choice. Steely’s have now been over done ..by everyone. Love the grocery getter. I wish I had a grease press like yours ……awesome. RR
Cool to see you working on your wagon! I'm finally able to comment again! I had a stroke on January 13 and been recovering. It affected my dominant side of course but I'm slowly getting better!
I’m a do it yourselfer… I upgraded to disc brakes on my 66 Chevelle 4-door last year. Ended up going for it and rebuilt the original control arms…. By Hand and Hammer hahahaha Great job making me relive the torture.
Hey Mortske, just a small tech tip of the day, try turning your bearings with the large side down in the greaser. Makes it a little easier to put the grease in. With that machine it may not make any difference, but the old hand push type it does. Those control arm bushings are a pain! I might have been able to give a few tips, but other than the tool, they are rough, and I never had the tool. Not even the dealerships I worked in had the tool. Enjoyed watching your shenanigans as always.
Mort is the man, it'd be a dam shame to miss an episode! Being the same age n from the same generation I totally relate with u on many levels bro! Thank u Good Day and God Bless

disc brakes are not an upgrade
Care to elaborate upon this theory you have?
@@MortskeRepair another live one sir !
@MortskeRepair I bet he won't cuz he's wrong. Trolling trolling trolling Rawhide!!!
they self-brake, nothing like going down the highway and having the disc brakes apply themselves! never have I hadshoe brakes do this!@@MortskeRepair
He’s a moron almost all cars have disk brakes all the way around

Duff rocks..

When one has The Monday Morning Blues, always count on Mort and Duff Dog to come through with another great video to brighten the day.
That was a great Mortske minute
Glad you appreciated it!
You’re one of the smart ones to keep your high school car. Memories are great, but still having it is priceless. Good on you, Mortske.
Thanks!

And here I was, bummed out cuz I haven't had s*x in 5 years. IVE MISSED OUT ON REBUILDING A FRONT END TOO??
MORTSKE MONDAY!
327 just goes with that car.
You were just a we lad in '99? Jeez I'm OLD, I was 26!!!
The Mortske formula for setting car pricing: Sentimental value + on a t-shirt = Priceless! 😎 I like your math Mr. M!
Hi, I'm Michael, and I'm addicted to the Mortske Repair channel. Yes, I'm disappointed, but mainly at my own life choices.
Don't feel bad, my name is Maurice and I am disappointed in my life choices also
Watching Mortske while working on a 1946 GMC makes monday easier to tolerate. Thank you, SIR Mortske and Duff
The best part of Monday is jaw jacking with Mortske in the morning and watching Puddin power wash something in the evening!
Nothing lifts the spirit quite like Mortske Monday and especially Duff Dog doing Zoomies in the snow!

Nice long roof! Duff is all jacked up, having a wonderful time in the snow!!!! Dogs are diffidently majestic animals.
Diffidently? Ya mean definitely? Or definitively?

Love that you're using all Moog parts. My opinion number one company in suspension parts
And
.. Made in Japan.

I have Moog on my 64, I won't use nothing else.
They make good synthesizers too 😂

Your track bar not being on the same plain is because the rear axle moves forward as it moves down on a three link set up.
