@FabRats what did you use for a fuel pump on the wood truck? Was that something you bought separately or from Holley? I have an old 86 dodge I want to do this to, thanks for any help.
You gotta keep Tom around, he's the only guy I've heard say "We need to install it where we can take it out without tearing apart the whole truck". Golden
Make you feel like family while your there but if you leave you're dead to them and never mentioned again hahaha ,Paul even mention his own brother or brother in-laws channels
I did all of if my chainsaws a couple of years ago... New filters, plugs, lines, and rebuilt the carbs. Then I got on eBay and found a rare part for an old top handle poulan that was my Dad's... 67-68 saw that one was. After you do one and it's too cold to do anything else, you just begin to enjoy it a lot.
You would think after watching 100's of video's (including the derby ones) I would be bored to tears. But i tell you what, they are still quite entertaining and it has been fun watching your kids grow up along side my grandkids (16 / 10 / 6) It is like an extended family. Thanks for letting us in to your lives! May God continue to bless you.
Good job Paul and Tom for doing these upgrades on the square body wood truck. She'll be ready now! Jace and Cooper pulled them out of the snow and changed the tire for the customer. Good job!
Unpopular opinion i like the wood truck its one the best sounding trucks in the fleet right next to the tow truck. Every winter when Paul is just letting it eat in the mud or snow love that that truck.
The ONLY new car i have ever had was a 1973 Chevy C-10, Beautiful truck gold and white. First thing i ever had with air conditioning. That truck rusted out in 2 years. I learned how to do body work on that truck and to paint. Once i had that painted it looked great. Decided to keep it------ Big mistake, by the next sumer that body was worse than before, so i fixed it again and before the paint was dry it was in the yard for sale. Hated that but had to go, I had all sorts of issues with that truck, But i needed it for hauling my stuff to the race track. Ended up buying a used International scout-Loved that thing.
I recently bought a Dewalt cordless chainsaw works great on small jobs. Will do big jobs. Also just bring extra batteries. hardly touched my Husqvarna Gas saw anymore.👍
I let the smoke out of my 60 volt Dewalt chainsaw back in the spring. Didn't get my money's worth out of it. Now I have the top of the line Stihl electric.
30:30 take a pipe and spin the other hook out and weld the pipe to the frame and the dawg inside so it holds the dawg in place. Can still tighten and loosen. We did this almost in the same fashion on our wood wagon.
I’m not cutting firewood but I like my Milwaukee 16” chainsaws, I’ve got two of them. You will need several hefty batteries but it is so nice not having to mess around with 2-cycle engines. I hate 2-cycle engines.
My Dad got me a little Homelite 12" limb saw when I was 13 (back in the 80's when kids had common sense) and I cut everything with that little saw. I had it for years.
I live in Spokane Washington and cut wood on my property north of Cusick, Washington which is about 70 miles north of my house. I love my Husqvarna 455 Rancher. I've used many brands even China and I love my Husqvarna
Shop fire story; helped a buddy rebuild the engine in his '65 Chevy p/u. Was priming the carb with a beer can full of gas.... It backfired, I flinched, throwing burning gas on the truck & myself. Buddy gave me a (gas soaked) rag to put myself out with. Threw the now burning rag over under my Harley. In the midst of this, our wives came to get some beer out of the shop fridge, they stopped, looked at each other, and went back into the house without a word! Didn't even try to help us idiots put all the fires out! 😂
Stihl chainsaw, mines 16 years old. I'm on the original spark plug. I use only Stihl products 2 stroke oil and bar lube. I run 93 octane gas. Starts Everytime. MS 391 carburetor model. Keep working on the old wood truck and she'll be new in no time!!
I like the gun rack in the back window. Nice to see the square back getting some love merry Christmas and a happy new year from my family to your family.
As Alway, another good episode. Stihl 066 with a 30 inch bar, its big, but it always starts, i have 3 others makes, but they all have inconsistent starting.
I find it funny Paul is working on everything before what everyone really wants him to work on the old Jeepster 😂😅 it's like he is just messing with everyone it's like if you keep talking about it like just put another project in front of it and just keep putting it lower on the list 😉
Eating my Motor Munch Burnout BBQ while watching your video! Yum! The only thing that could make it taste better would be eating it inside a 1959 Willys Wagon!
Definitely need to get a niversal set of tow eyelets for all these newer car with their thread in tow points.. As much as you guys have to hook to the wheels or odd spots a set of tow hooks would definitely be useful!
Waymorebetter is a run-together word like what you frequently find in German. An example of this is: einspritzventil which literally means a one spray valve or fuel injector.😊
I use Stihl! I eused Husqvarna before, and I remember not really liking something about them, but I can’t remember what it was I didn’t like, so it was probably just a preference!
my chainsaw of choice is my dads old school loggin saw a Pioneer P51 with a 36" all the way to 4ft bar and chain its classic beast which thanks to me has new big bore head & port & polished w/tuned pipe with way more power than it ecver was intended for literally sounds like a v-twin harley at idle and then transforms to a screaming banshee when she's a ripper in her powerband, also have stihl 500i a few echos for the under 20" bar and chain stuff and 1 Husqvarna rancher saw
Paul !! Nice work on the old wood truck ! That chainsaw was causing me flashbacks from cutting pulpwood, in the summer, way back in the way back (early '70's). not too much fun at all. The truck was a rusted out '58 Chevy 1-Ton, with Fred Flintstone brakes. The Holly gear is amazing now innit ?
huskvarna 455 rancher, 20" chisel bit chain, cut a lot of firewood with that combo. also something to be said for my puolon 44 16 it was a gift from a neighbor and oh the wood I cut with that after i change to an 18" bar 15 winters in Alaska between those 2 wood stove was my only heat and i sold a good bit as well
I always loved the square body. It sucks they came with either a 10 bolt or a 44 in them from the factory. When the OBS came out, they should’ve put out a Dana 44 and a Dana 60 in it on the 2500/3500 trucks.
My chainsaw choice is a Stihl 044 and it's only Stihl chainsaws my wood truck is identical to yours in every fashion I had a awesome tree cutting this year five blocks to fill the truck one block rows they were monsters
I remember using an old Remington chainsaw. pain to get running and when it started it was twice as loud as any other. They sucked. Echo's were a huge step up.
I use an Echo, but I keep saying that when it dies, I will get a Stihl. It's been 25 years, and it's still sawing. Then I inherited a 50-year-old McCulloch with a 24" bar; I use it about once a decade, and it never fails to run.
Only a few short days left to get entered to win the 1959 Willys Wagon aka PackRat! Head on over to thefabrats.com/ for your chance to win today!!
"have to want an old truck to run or they just go to the scrapyard",,, we see the past and the future and you know what works.
Golden
That statement was "never" heard in one of the big three's engineering department.
How much wood could a wood truck truck, if a wood truck could truck wood!! LOL...
As much wood as a wood truck could chuck if a wood truck could chuck wood
6
👍👍
😂
3 cord if you're a dumb as I am 😂
Love Grammy!! The whole Fabrats crew and Tom are amazing! They so make you feel like family....
Make you feel like family while your there but if you leave you're dead to them and never mentioned again hahaha ,Paul even mention his own brother or brother in-laws channels
My chainsaw of choice is one that runs.
Square bodies are so iconic. I really need to pick up an old project truck to wrench on heading into my elder years.
You just get what makes good content!
I did all of if my chainsaws a couple of years ago... New filters, plugs, lines, and rebuilt the carbs. Its always fun to give the kids a hard time, Gramma. Grandkids are fun too.
Good job Paul and Tom for doing these upgrades on the square body wood truck. She'll be ready now! Jace and Cooper pulled them out of the snow and changed the tire for the customer. Good job!
Jace is the all around man; athlete, hunter, fisherman, junior fab builder, recovery specialist and expert cameraman!
Paul I’m definitely a big johnsred guy or a huskavarna for sure!!! Absolutely love them and use them every year!!!
Good job guys the old girl got a new lease in life love watching your videos keep em coming
Grandma Lalee is the “Best “ 🏆 !!!
Unpopular opinion i like the wood truck its one the best sounding trucks in the fleet right next to the tow truck. Every winter when Paul is just letting it eat in the mud or snow love that that truck.
I like ole Tom. He seems like a pretty good feller.
We're working on fuel lines, Paul is starting a fire.... Seems safe 😂
The ONLY new car i have ever had was a 1973 Chevy C-10, Beautiful truck gold and white. First thing i ever had with air conditioning. That truck rusted out in 2 years. Sounds like all cars rusting in the Midwest
I miss everyone who has left ! But cooper is a great fit ! Tom is great too
You can tell though he is not like Hunter. He appears to have some mechanical knowledge and might not be as strait laced either.
@mikeb.7183 he does react to garage banter very well
I agree
The chainsaw that runs is the one I prefer
I recently bought a Dewalt cordless chainsaw works great on small jobs. Will do big jobs. Also just bring extra batteries. hardly touched my Husqvarna Gas saw anymore.👍

I have an 80 k20 and it will absolutely out live me . These trucks are tough as nails
It is a shame that the driver bit just missed the steel belt area, meaning it is not legal to repair. Good job taking care of the tourists.
You can in Maine. Just plugging it too is legal
Great to see the outsourcing of the workload. A quick and easy recovery.
30:30 take a pipe and spin the other hook out and weld the pipe to the frame and the dawg inside so it holds the dawg in place. Can still tighten and loosen. We did this almost in the same fashion on our wood wagon.
Good ole trucks
3:46 guys got the reflexes of a full grown puma !!!
I’m not cutting firewood but I like my Milwaukee 16” chainsaws, I’ve got two of them. You will need several hefty batteries but it is so nice not having to mess around with 2-cycle engines. I hate 2-cycle engines.
Husqvarna 346xp. Runs great and is easy to start. That as long as fuel lines are good, purge bulb.fuel and spark plug.
My Dad got me a little Homelite 12" limb saw when I was 13 (back in the 80's when kids had common sense) and I cut everything with that little saw. I had it for years.
Thank you guys
My favorite saw is a parts kit husky or stihl. I've got a bunch I've built, love having extra big bore and high compression kits to throw in them.
Good afternoon fab rat family
Nice recovery.
Nice work on the truck.
And even nice work on the chainsaw ! 👍
Thanks Guys
I live in Spokane Washington and cut wood on my property north of Cusick, Washington which is about 70 miles north of my house. I love my Husqvarna 455 Rancher. I've used many brands even China and I love my Husqvarna
Finally my Wednesday evening (East African time) is complete ✌️✌️🇰🇪🇰🇪
Shop fire story; helped a buddy rebuild the engine in his '65 Chevy p/u.

Funny story
Paul's aluminum supplier is all the County Road signs. Does he go out shopping at night?
I proudly have a Interstate 75 shield sign hanging in my garage, that I salvaged from a ditch in central Kentucky.
I hope we get a new wood hauling episode finally..
I've been looking for that bit.
I’ve been waiting all morning for this video
Stihl chainsaw, mines 16 years old. I'm on the original spark plug. I use only Stihl products 2 stroke oil and bar lube. I run 93 octane gas. Starts Everytime. MS 391 carburetor model.
Keep working on the old wood truck and she'll be new in no time!!
Saw of choice is my old STIHL 064Av. Been running absolutely fantastic since 81.
The wood truck, it'll be fine! Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
I like the gun rack in the back window. Nice to see the square back getting some love merry Christmas and a happy new year from my family to your family.
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
This cameraman got a voice that will put you to sleep.
But he has personality to back it up.
It's certainly lost its feel and identity
That's funny cuz the girls seem to like it. I think it's the deep tone.
You should put a transfer pump from one tank to the other so you could utilize that other tank.
Love my 3.5hp Husky, but my 40 year old Poulan still works fine, but my antique craftsman all metal electric works great!!
It's always a good day when both an old square body and a chain saw are involved.
Stile and the new Milwaukee chain is so nice always starts don’t have to have small stroke pull starting it
Well done Paul
Stihl Chainsaw running on Stihl Platinum two stroke oil and 100LL Airplane fuel, stays fresh waaaaaay longer than pump gas.
$25gal of gas to run a chainsaw😂
Jeepster!
As Alway, another good episode.
Stihl 066 with a 30 inch bar, its big, but it always starts, i have 3 others makes, but they all have inconsistent starting.
2:23 bacon, egg and cheese: 3 basic food groups needed to make good breakfast 😀
Bought Stihl MS211 7yrs ago and inherited both of Gpa Sthil 026 saws couple years back.
I find it funny Paul is working on everything before what everyone really wants him to work on the old Jeepster 😂😅 it's like he is just messing with everyone it's like if you keep talking about it like just put another project in front of it and just keep putting it lower on the list 😉
He’s said waiting on parts to start it
Eating my Motor Munch Burnout BBQ while watching your video! Yum! The only thing that could make it taste better would be eating it inside a 1959 Willys Wagon!
We always had Husqvarna and Stihl on my dad's wood truck growing up..Never had issue's with either....
32:00 I just got a 20" DeWalt saw and I really like it.
Young Sam Elliott done well on the recovery.
A Bit of bad luck with the puncture 😊.
Best show around ❤
You know that ford drivers have to speed so they can coast further when it breaks down. Merry Christmas to the fabulous rats crew.
Definitely need to get a niversal set of tow eyelets for all these newer car with their thread in tow points.. As much as you guys have to hook to the wheels or odd spots a set of tow hooks would definitely be useful!
Great job again.
Sthil I got a polan I’ve used 25 yrs I’ve cut under water and everything with it
I love the Recap!
Waymorebetter is a run-together word like what you frequently find in German. An example of this is: einspritzventil which literally means a one spray valve or fuel injector.😊
Ole Wood Truck has the best windshield in the fleet.
I use Stihl! I eused Husqvarna before, and I remember not really liking something about them, but I can’t remember what it was I didn’t like, so it was probably just a preference!

Jonsered is my saw of choice!
Especially those pre the buyout by Husqvarna (Electrolux)
Stihl 031 I bought new back around 1984. Still have it and it still purrs like a kitten tho I no longer use it like I used to.
Paul !! Nice work on the old wood truck ! That chainsaw was causing me flashbacks
from cutting pulpwood, in the summer, way back in the way back (early '70's).
not too much fun at all. The truck was a rusted out '58 Chevy 1-Ton, with
Fred Flintstone brakes. The Holly gear is amazing now innit ?
I too have a collection of all Brands of chainsaws.. but my go to is usually the Husqvarna. it's a beast
Coop has just the right temper to be a permanent cam guy for FabRats !
Hunter is missed, but the team goes on !
Search coop uk 😂
It is a good day in the shop when you can set something a blazeing and not burn the shop down.
great to see a Ben flashback!
GREAT JOB YALL
huskvarna 455 rancher, 20" chisel bit chain, cut a lot of firewood with that combo. also something to be said for my puolon 44 16 it was a gift from a neighbor and oh the wood I cut with that after i change to an 18" bar 15 winters in Alaska between those 2 wood stove was my only heat and i sold a good bit as well
a Ben and hunter sighting, miss those guys
Keep up with the good work Paul love watching your videos on RUclips God bless an mary Christmas to you and your family
Grandma, you're the best! Keep em in line Grandma LOL!
I always loved the square body. It sucks they came with either a 10 bolt or a 44 in them from the factory.
When the OBS came out, they should’ve put out a Dana 44 and a Dana 60 in it on the 2500/3500 trucks.
Tucks and chain saws, Paul does them in Stihl.....!
My chainsaw choice is a Stihl 044 and it's only Stihl chainsaws my wood truck is identical to yours in every fashion I had a awesome tree cutting this year five blocks to fill the truck one block rows they were monsters
Husky 562XP best saw ever
Huskavarna and johnsred are my saws!
I use Hi test gas in my saw, that helps to keep the gas better for a while longer.
Stihl 100%
Utah, the Beehive State and you still call wasps bees. LOL 4 pins should have fixed the problem. I don't know, hard to see from here.
I miss the times when I used to cut and split firewood ( preferred to split with an axe over using a hydraulic splitter )
My wife always says “Much more betta!” 😂😂
husky xp series only not the xtorq versions. . or our new saw of choice is the echo cs590 timber wolf. Holds up very well to logging work.
I remember using an old Remington chainsaw. pain to get running and when it started it was twice as loud as any other. They sucked. Echo's were a huge step up.
I saw your brother Ben with his pocket tool, and I carry one now.
I use an Echo, but I keep saying that when it dies, I will get a Stihl. It's been 25 years, and it's still sawing. Then I inherited a 50-year-old McCulloch with a 24" bar; I use it about once a decade, and it never fails to run.
Just in time for lunch!!
