Facebook Marketplace Find! 1965 Chevrolet C10 Shortbed Pickup Abandoned for 33 Years! Will It Run?!?
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 17 дек 2024
- I recently purchased this 1965 Chevrolet shortbed stepside, big back window pickup after finding what I thought was a reasonable deal on Facebook Marketplace. It was a failed father/son project that the owner was losing their storage space. It came with an "extra" engine so lets dig into it and find out if the original engine will run after being off the road since 1990! You can own the pickup in the as shown condition for the low, low price of only $2,500! As always, thanks for watching!

Really dude what are you a movie star now people can't stop and see you the one for the people you wouldn't be anything you're too busy for anybody to stop by and say
You wouldn’t mind if strangers just walked into your home unannounced?
That's his fucking home dude you can't tell me you'd be ok with it. it's people like you why people like me carry everywhere I go even in my own yard
I just wanted to use the toilet and leave a huge dump 💩 pet the puppy dog 🤣
@@crbrepairmotorcycles6608 🤣🤣
There's a thing called personal privacy, he's allowed to have that. Maybe we'll all show up at your house unannounced after you don't seem to mind.
Mojo is such a gem, and a wonderful addition to your channel. thank you for allowing us the privilege of getting to know him!
I agree, that guy is just so cool.
Our pleasure!
I agree, MoJo has forgot more than any of us will probably know
@MortskeRepair just cos you said you won't ship will you ship to Australia 👍
That's a Maureen battery.
I’m waiting for Duff and Mojo to leave and start their own channel.
Hahahahahahahah
Lol I was thinking the same thing. N they would have mortzke gear for sale lol.
Duff approved Scent that's a that's a thought deer crap and wet dog! Hahaha

The best part of Mondays is a new Mortske video!
Hey folks! If you haven’t ordered the Low Life cap, get one!! They are high quality and have a great logo patch! Also the art on the Cowboy Cadillac shirt is amazing!! Get one!!( not a paid endorsement)
How about a well dressed endorsement? 😆
I absolutely love the Cowboy Cadillac T-shirt!
Just ordered my hat
I just might.
“Structural Carpet”
(New entry in the Mortske - Engineering glossary)
Love The Duff!
Lol
Well.. at least you got a brand new chain out of the deal.. WITH 2 hooks on it! Wowsers!!
Score!
You better get the loving in the Duff before you know it. God bless you guys and Mojo! Glad you are back
There once was a king who was only 12 inches tall.
He was a terrible king, but made a great ruler.
Bahaha
Thanks!
You bet!
Good sir morticus, I really love your long form videos. Its a little of this, a little of that, in general a good way to wind down after work, and theres always something i learn. Thats my favorite part. I love the hat i ordered, and the bonus autographed plate that came with it. Thanks for everything!
SHitty day here in London, raining, dark and cold BUT... We have a new Mortske video to watch - crack open the sammiches!!
good sneaky comment getter. fox body mustang ,"hope its got an LS"
We did a swinging tailgate on 65 dodge pickup in high school .it worked pretty neat! 😊
My absolute GRAIL truck. I've been building this truck in my head for decades.
Could be yours!

Well, get off your DUFF and get one, they're only gonna get more scarce, more expensive, and more decrepit!
It's Monday and you know what that means That's right Boys and Girls ,It's Mortske and Duff and the "More you know time" Another Monday of good content working on a 65 C10 One of my favorite all time favorite pick ups That just cries for a small block
Great find! I've always loved this Chevy body style. Great vidjah
You and me both!
Runs and drives, that's a win. The steering wheel squeak sounds like the sound effect they used in all the old black and white movies whenever a car came to a stop. Catch you on the next one!
Another great video. I like the LS swaps etc. but i really enjoy you putting the puzzle together, and having to dig into your "stash" to find the missing pieces.
Mojo, you and Sir Duff are an swesome trio. Thank you. Have a great week.
M
Same to you
" We're gonna rotate that burn mark so it doesn't line up with that burn mark." LMAO There are times in the ole electrical/ electronics endeavors where that can work. Which is just beautiful.
Can't wait to watch this when I get home from work tonight!
Happy Monday, when we get to see the latest and greatest from Sir Mortske😊
Luv that old truck.. saw the ghost of puddin. Like flat fenders to put your tool box on. haha. 🤠👍
🤙
I cant believe you made it this far and never had a gm solenoid apart! Man oh man you are living now. Thanks for the Monday entertainment as always its been fun.
I probably have, but never put it back together!
Looking forward to seeing this Mortske savior attacking the rust in this one.😊
I drove a 69 Chevy C10 with a 350 3 speed with a floor shifter. I loved that truck. Had a few too many beers one night and brush painted it with Green floor paint. Looked really good at 50 ft. Thanks for the video 🇺🇸👍
Thanks for sharing
The puddin pressure washing videos are hilarious. Yall should definitely keep doing it 😂
Thank you! Will do!
Love the way you and Puddin take time out of your busy schedules to chirp one another, and if anyone asks while I’m watching one of yours or one of his about that I say that’s what friends are for. Seriously though you’re not really at risk of losing the shop are you?
@@derekwalters6132 There's always a chance
Thanks Mortske!! Somewhere there is a giant hoard of all the lost ratchet straps. It must be glorious. Have donated many myself
Right on!
I’m waiting for the “Duff”
T-shirt and hoodie. 💯
OK, I'll give you 30 bucks for it. Ha ha hajust haven't found with you, Marty. Morski, and it's actually not a bad looking truck. Have a great day, my friend.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Good job, Mort! I wasn't expecting this truck to run....but it did, and it drove! 👍👍 Whoever buys it needs to just remember to give that squeaky wheel all the grease. 😅
Very true!
Love old trucks. Back in June of 1997, bought a new Dodge Ram 1500, its been my daily driver for over 26 years. Just something about a good old truck. Keep up the great work. 👍
You love old trucks, so you bought a brand new one. Makes perfect sense. Why didn't you wait til it got old?
Love the content brother. Great deal on the truck. Perfect starter truck for a young man.Drive it while you work on it. Perfect!!😊
Right on
Had me crackin up with the Puddin fade in!!! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Will do!
Another Mortske Monday has been put into posterity . Considering how long it sat inactive you were able to bring it back to life and take Duff Dog for his ceremonial ( R. I. D. E ) . You never cease to amaze me with your vast knowledge and caustic wit under stressful circumstances , its always a video I don't want to miss . Take care , say hi to MoJo for me , and be ready , the snow is not far away . Till the next one Stuart in Canada ..
That little mustang towards the end is one of my favorites! Actually my favorite.❤️
It doesn't matter what brand of filters you run as long as you change them when you should there will be no problems.
im old broke but with what luck i have left, you my young sir give me enjoyment.
ahhh heck yeah duff
We do what we can
Ow man! Rusty above the windshield, it seems to be C10 signature rust spot! Just to be sure, before I jump in action to get one of them Duff air fresheners, does that smell like Duff before or after “the roll”? Can’t thank you enough for the extra long episode for today! 👍🏼👍🏼
It’s a surprise!
Lol. The pressure washer has the “bibbed wonder” sticker. Lol. How neat is that. 🤦🏻 Then the pressure washing scene and little tune. Hysterical. Great video.
I hope you are doing well , Hopefully Mojo, Duff, and you all had a great Veterans day.
Same to you!
Mojo is a cool guy, I would love to hear his backstory , during a Mortske minute sometime, great video as always
Noted!
Thanks for sharing and then and and glad to see the legend show up. Can I come visit if I bring gifts? Like batteries and parts. I promise if you schedule me in next year I will bring good stuff ,no flexi hoses or Cragars! ☺️
I had a few of them 250 6 cylinders back in the day, one in a 72 nova and another in a 70 malibu wagon. Both were great engines and never had problems with them. They ran forever.
Right on
As a retired insurance agent, I can tell you that Grinnell is an excellent company at paying claims. They were always my favorite as an agent. Takes care of their agents and their insureds! Unfortunately, they are not available in SC. I carry Progressive currently. Great video!
Good to know
You getting shocked NEVER gets old ! Been there many times.⚡
Mortske, Sorry to hear you're experiencing more stranger danger. I can't for the life of me understand why a fan would think its ok to just show up on your property.
You've told us multiple times not to come there, that it's also your home and I know I wouldn't want random strangers showing up at my house. Sorry man! Keep up the good work.
No worries
@@MortskeRepair I hope you have no more issues. God Bless you-all and be safe. Needed a sign, " Keeping our strangers, no warning shots given." Yes idiots exist, even though you said don't, I can't remember sometimes
, too many times to count any more .
What a Video! Chin please make the "Mortske Flick" video happen! You could get video clips from Puddin, Brent, DD's speed shop , Yourself etc. Come on everyone "Do the Mortske Flick "! Chin You Can Do It !
I’m only ordering if the air fresheners smell like 30 year old varnished gasoline.
It’s a mixed bag
When your video drops on Monday morning Mr. M, I hope you're having a nice greasy breakfast of bacon and eggs and home fries and wearing your fuzzy slippers--You got a long week in front of you!😎
I own my late father 66 Fleet side!
God love ya Mortske! Only you could could come way with any kind of positive attitude after looking under that truck.
Hahaha it’s not bad!
Not for you your a good wrench. 👍
Does the air freshener smell like wet Duff Dog? LOL
Fresh fecal matter!
I'm sincerely sorry for my earlier negative comments. I learned my lesson. I really enjoy your presentations.
No worries!
Just ask MOJO. You know he's had lots of solenoids apart 😂
Definitely
🤣🤣 The squeaky steering wheel and floppy mirror. Ha ha. Got her going. Good stuff. Especially Duff. 👍
🤙
Damn.... I am really looking forward to not visiting you....ever
Perfect
I'm liking this just for the Puddin' ghost during the pressure washing. Carry on!
Great job getting this old girl back on the road,, Great winter project truck for a decent price, Engine needs bearings and seals, rings,, valve grind,, all stuff you can do in the garage,, Should sell pretty easy,, :-)
Thanks 👍
LOL never stick it in dry, too big for the hole, etc... i love no matter how large this channel gets, its still like working in the shop with friends. Another guddin as puddin would say!
Thanks 👍
I sure learn lots watching your procedure.. i like your patiences.. and demeanor..
Glad you like them!
Good Mortske clan! Hopefully you are all well! Hello Duff Mortske!😊
You too!
Nice Chev truck! It's a good project for sure. And Mojo is an absolute wealth of knowledge! It's great he loves to keep tinkering and working. We all could learn a thing or two from him!
Very true!
Just found your videos and love the channel, my cocker spaniel loves duff. From England - the real england , got a 53 f500 292 y block
Oh how I wish my 71 custom cruiser was done. Those Olds wagons are so much fun to drive
The magnet drain plugs actually work well for fixing a stripped out pan. I was skeptical, but has held without any leaking for several years and many miles.
Great start.. Lots of potential. Great episode and very fun to watch!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I recently stumbled upon ur channel and have literally been playing your videos and nothing else since. When I watch your stuff, I am transported back home and remember the times in my Dad's shop. Oh and yeah, you have another girl for a fan. 😊 Thank you for your content, I have been missing North Dakota, you and Duff are just the best.
Thanks so much for the kind words and watching!

Say it with authority MOJO!!!
Hat's ordered. Every serious tinkerer, whether pro or amateur has a pocket screwdriver.
Thanks for another great video
Much appreciated!
Didn’t read all the comments…..but 63’ was the first year of the non torsion front ends. 63’s are truly one year only with the later frame and front suspension and the older knee knocker cabs. As for GMC’s, the main difference is that they have rear leaf springs. Enjoyed the video!
Good job you remind me of everything that I forgot that I know about Chevrolets
The only reason to look forward to Monday! Mortske Repair new episode!
Mortske monday! Facebook deals always make a day!
I love how you always channel the spirit of the oklahoma guy when you're powerwashing 😁
😁
Hey Mortske and Duff 👋, always good to see you get it running and driving. Not a bad old truck. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week 👋
Thanks! You too!
Great show , I had a66 your truck brought back some memories, like the info nice move that starter and Duff got his ride 😊
Loved the story of the old yellow truck! Those are my favorite C10’s also!
Right on!
Yes a 2 plus hour Mortske and Duff video!
I owned a 1966 fleetside rust bucket which I loved,The only difference I found between a 66 and a 65 is the 66 had back up lights. So thanks for working on old Chevy trucks ,i am a dog person and duff adds so much to your channel and the way you talk to
Duff I can tell you love him.mike
Our pleasure
Yea i wouldn't want ppl just showing up to my place either . I wish ppl had common sense and respected people's privacy. Great video as always mortske
been sitting here waiting for Monday Morning Mortske Hour.
Man! I miss the sounds of a inline Chevy 6 banger . Thank for the memories
Nice beginner truck and great price also, some one is getting a great deal. runs and drives!!!! You and Duff sure put a heck of a lot of work and sounds like the engine is a keeper so drive on somebody .
Thanks 👍
great show once again...love the ghost puddin preasure wash footage! that stuff is funny! have a good one.
Thanks, you too!
My best friend in high school had that same year truck! Sweet!
I always watch your videos on my tv via my PS4 and I know of no way to comment with the PS4. But I had to let you know how funny the truck wash with Puddin overlapped. Never miss your videos. Keep it up kid
You're the best!
As you mentioned, with a little work that old ‘65 would be a pretty nice ride. Wish I was closer! Anyway, thanks for the Great content. And, thanks for the ride, Duff appears to have approved!
I had a 65 long bed fleetside , just like all of them here in the north east ,it was a little rough . Watching this I really miss it
I understand your love of these trucks. My grandad had a 65, 250 with 3 on the tree too. It was the old blue. That is what I learned to drive in
Love the content. See you next week.
Awesome
Great job with this! It makes me wonder why they wanted to pull the 250 six. The Hurst Indy shifter did have a long shifter lever version. I remember a number of people using these shifters back when I was in High School in the 1980's. They were a big improvement over the worn three on the tree shifters.
Yeah, you can bolt a longer arm on the shifter easy enough.
Looks like Duff needs to have a sit down with HR about his recent lack of productivity. As for MOJO the man is a jewel for us "gear heads".
Love the puddin backdrop when you were pressure washing, great stuff.
Thanks 👍
Who is this puddin character😂?
60-62 2WD had torsion bars. 63 was the first year for coil springs on the front, as well as the new 230 and 292 6 cylinders
Kevin always makes my day go buy alot better. Love from Toronto
I do have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying the channeling the wash master thing. A little creepy but loads of laughs.
Good to hear!
32:49 Hey boss, enjoy your videos. Love the old vehicles. Kudos from southeastern Ohio. You and Duff hold er down.
Glad to hear that
Always enjoy your Monday video 😊 thanks and have a great week
Thank you! You too!
I liked the bonus egg collection footage! Bo and his chicken/cat posse looks like they own the farm 🤣 enjoy your scrambled eggs 👍
Thank you! 😊
It's a good sign when the motor is 1/2 way out, a chain is wrapped around it and all of the ignition parts are new but the plug wires are off!!!!
Nahhh
Ran good,,,,,,so what do I know?????
